IAN voice, Older give me CHILLS🙏💕him performance so long time after👍🏿WOUAHHH is so great than yesterday 🎼so beautiful and difficult SONG💥🎶I’m listen always and always » CIAO BABY👋 » lovely the CULT❤️2022, yehhhh 🙏
My favorite live version of this iconic song was the LA version in '94 but how can any of them be off? Billy Duffy is always brilliant. Nice seeing and hearing strings in the background. I never tire of this song.
They really came of age with Love, but man does Gimmick deserve dusting off every now and then. And that juggernaut Zap City ended up as an EP b-side...
Billy has still got it. Ian, not so much. But truth be told, Ian was always a bit lazy with the vocals live……flat on notes, dropping lyrics…etc. That said, Id see them live again in a heartbeat.
Just saw them on 4/21/22 in St Petersburg, FL. Maybe he was not feeling well....some time was what Ian needed to get back on his game. Because he certainly was Thursday....voice was amazing!!
Honestly, he seems like he's putting in a huge effort, but i also get a hint of possible vocal injury. We ask a lot from singers, especially in such a virtuosic genre. Hes a baritone that often belts in a tenor's range with a lot of distortion for accent. I wouldnt be surprised to learn he's injured himself running that marathon for 40 years. Note they've tuned this down a semitone from the recorded version. I suspect that's the reason.
I'm old enough to have known who Edie Sedgewick was in the 1960's and to have seen "Ciao Manhattan" as a teenager. I always saw her as a tragic figure. But I never expected a (male) band of the 1980's to express compassion for a supposedly spoiled rich girl. Damn, this is a great song. I come back to it often.
Ian Astbury had the same infatuation. This is how the song came about. He researched it and came up with this masterpiece. I remember Edie Sedgwick as well. I recall her doing an interview on someone's late night TV show with Andy Warhol. That little weasel didn't say ONE word while she fumbled through the uncomfortable interview. A host's nightmare. Her father got her hooked on drugs. Those in the "Factory" just hastened her demise. She was a sad tomato.
Sorry I saw this...I named my daughter Edie because of my love for this song. Old guitars are great. Old amps are great. Great voices don't age as well...Great song, not so great performance.
One of the most beautiful intros to any song.
Yes, a great intro and here live too.
Whenever I listen to The Cult, so do my neighbors.
Lucky neighbors 👍
Sonic Temple has to be one of the best albums ever released.
Always been my favourite band and Edie is one of my all time best loved songs. The Cult will always kick ass!!!
The guitar is on point. Like always.

What a superb song! Great music from the iconic Cult! Have loved this band since their debut album!!
They really came of age with Love, but man does Gimmick deserve dusting off every now and then. And that juggernaut Zap City ended up as an EP b-side...
Damn- they've even got people playing the string parts live!
Timeless song and ever great rock band! What else?

They’ve still got it!
What a song! A life without a care

He's lost his range I guess but it's still good and good to see them
endless pleasure listening to Billy Duffy play guitar...

Billy's playing is Great!
Mate used to be the bassist in Southern Death Cult.
Damn these guys nailed it, still. I need to see them again. Saw them back in the 90s. EPIC
I'm so glad that didnt suck. They still got it.
🔥🔥🔥
I wish they'd come to Hawaii.
That could have been better. Glad you liked it, but it was lacking.
I was thinking the same thing. lol

So much compassion indeed.Such a beautiful, sad song ❤️🌹🌹

My favourite Cult song
Billy Duffy, está ainda melhor. Isso é para poucos. Só os excepcionais conseguem! 👏 👏 👏
I would pay £50 all night long just to see Billy Duffy play this song!
What a treasure! ❤
The Cult is one of the best ⚡🔥🤘
Very Good Show, Excellent Small Venue Concert!
My youth,my first love,my end.
I bought in UK the Ciao Baby single CD in 1990 and it came with the wrong recording in it...bizarre!
✨BEAUTIFUL✨
✨ FOREVER ✨
✨ 💜✨
Zauvek najbolji👍💓👍
So under appreciated..
Impressive song, well done live
When using a wah-wah peddle it's vital to imitate the sound with your mouth, it just happens!!
God i miss the 80s...

Por qué se llama esta vez este grupo, pues no es un plagio, es obra de Eternity.
✨🌺2022🌺✨
Billy looks better the way he does now, coz he looks like me ❤️😎
Best...)))) 👍👍👍👊
Oh, Ian!!! What happened to your voice?
🤘🏻
Sorry I saw this...I named my daughter Edie because of my love for this song. Old guitars are great. Old amps are great. Great voices don't age as well...Great song, not so great performance.
What kind of Gibson is it?
Always loved the cult. Just got tix for them supporting Alice cooper next year. Hope singer improves, it’s painful hearing him.
With a string section... 😵
Hi voice is toasted, but despite that, it's a great song.
q paso con la voz de ian astbury...me dio cosa pobre
The vocalist has lost it somewhat.
I love the cult but his singing is absolutely horrible!!! What is he trying to do? Horrible!!!
Ever been on tour for a year and sing every single day? It takes a toll.
That's what aging does even if you do your best. But Ian will always be awesome just by mere stage presence. The Cult will always be a great band.
I Love this tune but Holy Crap...Joey, I'm with you Buddy. Ian!! Just sing the Fucking Song!
Stop Fucking around!!
Astburys gone tone deaf. Pity that
Ian Asturby lost voice quality with times, more still is great singer
Que apresentação fraca, desanimado
ehh, not digging the vocals
