Unlike every other two stroke engine, chainsaws have but one fuel mixture adjustment: the L screw. The H screw does not alter the mixture at full throttle, it only controls maximum speed.

Thank you for watching. I believe you are confusing the idle screw (T)
Hope this clears this up for you:
This would be a good video to watch plus read the following information I posted.
      ua-cam.com/video/wzXvHKNWF4Q/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared
From the Stihl Technical Information Page:
With the engine running at full throttle, turn the
high speed screw counterclockwise and use a tachometer to set a 100 rpm drop in speed (rich
limit) compared to maximum engine speed. Turn the high speed screw 1full turn clockwise
      (leaner) from that position.
If it is not possible to check engine speed with a tachometer while making adjustments, do not set the high speed screw any leaner by turning it beyond the basic setting.
If the setting is too lean, there is a risk of engine damage.

High Speed Fuel Adjustment (marked H on carb, this is the high speed jet) - This is the adjustment that controls the proportion of fuel in the combustible air/fuel mixture at cutting speed. It would not be accurate to say that this is the most important setting, because all of these adjustments need to be accurate for a saw to perform its best, but this is the adjustment that determines how the saw runs in the cut.
I am not a mechanic but from my research the H is for high speed mixture.

Thank you for stopping by. It is difficult to diagnose without having the saw so I will be making some suggestions. Have you been using this saw for awhile without any issues? If it is your first time using it, when starting it from a cold start let it warm up, just a little throttle on and off then full throttle. I would start here. Old gas and/or water in the gas will caused this and is the easiest to check. Pour the gas into a container & check. While the gas is out check the fuel filter and gas line. Next go to the muffler, clean the spark arrestor. Check to see if the plug is fouled up or just change it. Clean or change the air filter. Last I would clean the carburetor. Let me know if any of this helped you out.
      Stay safe Joe Z

Yes the chain on this saw should be sharpened or replaced. @dennismoyer8463 I have other videos on my channel that cover different subjects and new videos added weekly that may also be of help or interest.
hope you get to enjoy other videos on my channel as well.

...and, running that chainsaw without the top cover defeats the cooling function of the flywheel vanes and will totally burn out the saw fairly quickly. Ignorance is not bliss.

Thank you for watching. I agree that running the saw while it is working (cutting wood) can cause it to overheat & I should have mentioned this. As far as the H screw & "Ignorance" I believe you are confusing the idle screw (T)

this saw is running way to rich after you replaced the carb, its quite plain to see that you don't realize or know that Echo has very detailed instructions that need to be followed as far as carb adjustments are concerned to avoid damaging the catalytic material inside the muffler

Thank you for stopping by & taking the time to comment. I know the carb has some adjusting yet to be done. I believe I mentioned it in the video. Rick comments and sharing of knowledge are one of the reasons why I created the Joe Z channel. If you would like post the detailed instructions and
I will incorporate these techniques into a new video.
      Stay well, Joe Z
