Michael, if the washer lays flat it will catch the rain and it will run down the cord into your hammock, tying a small string with a tail after the washer will catch this water and wick it away off the suspension line. I watched a research video on drip line here on you tube today and you should see how much rain that dutch clip catches if it twists and turns flat to the rain it goes right down the line til it hits the small tail string and falls to the ground. It stop the water 100% from going straight down the line into your hammock. Hope this helped you ask for feed back. This was a great video and now I will know how to put the whoopie sling on. Thank you! Happy Holidays to you and your family.
thanks John that's some great tips. I'm thankful I haven't had trouble with the drip line but then again I haven't been stuck in a long downpour. I'll have to give your suggestion a try, thanks again. I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas.
Still have the HH? I got the Classic and Zip, but, the newer materials like Hexon and MTN have me appreciate the packability and pack size. I'm thinking of selling them now to buy newer materials. I don't can overnight, just Day Hang in Parks. Sell them?
Thanks Snakemonkey555. We have had them on the trail for a total of 5 nights so far. The kids love them. I did get the bigger Hennessey tarp for the Scout and the expedition. We have a spring trip planned for the Superior hiking trail. Going to pull a five nighter and the Hammocks are coming. Thanks for watching
Hey Chris! Only for a split second down stairs before the boy kicked me out. All I can say is it's similar to my WBBB and it has a great look strung up. I'm concerned about the coverage the tarp provides. A tarp like ours would solve that problem.
Nice to see you also showing your boys how things get done.

Hennessy is much bulkier than my warbonnet blackbird. I don't think the Hennessy is as nice as some of the other choices.
Good job Mike. I wish I would have gotten a hammock from my Dad for Christmas....well done!!! When is the first family trip report coming now?
thanks Rob. We can't wait to get out. Mid June will be our first outing at YRSF.
Great video! Hello from Maine. Your shaking like a cat in the rain. Maybe you should have a drink first! Washers are not gonna work good!
Awesome tutorial man! How has the Hennessy hammocks been holding up? Thanks!

+Michael Morgan Awesome, five nighter with the kids should be an adventure. Hope you make a video of it.
Great job Mike. I know your a WBBB guy but did you try out the Hennessy and what did you think about them if you did.
