- In this video I start of with some unboxing of parts that I have lying around and then move on to water in and out for the turbo and also the Oil feed line for the turbo. It's kind of two videos rolled into one.
I now got less then 100 days before this old box needs to be drive able, and if that's going to happen I really just got to get the videos out there. Hope you'll enjoy it anyway :) And if you get confused, drop a comment.

"When you don't know what you're doing, just do something!" I think we are brothers! Lol
It's the key to actually living a life, just DGAF and do what you want, things have a way of figuring themselves out over time.
Awesome!
Great video, thanks for sharing with us 👍
Thanks for watching
Loved the video.
Thanks 👍
Great video as usual!
Thanks
This is awesome , im here in America and yes harbor freight is cheap and questionable quality very questionable.. I also wanted to know your thoughts on putting a b5234T in a volvo 240 , is it a popular swap in sweden is it even a good idea?
Hey, thanks. Ive never been to hf but i keep hearing it on other channels 😄 sounds about the same concept, the place you shouldent shop but you do anyway for some reason.
But yes the b5234t would fit nicely in a 240. There are engine mounts for the swap and so on. But it is also a little bit different and generaly a slightly harder swap. Cant tell you exactly what needs to be done but i know its been done many times 👍
I really enjoy your videos. I have a strange question for you. I have a 2000 volvo s70 with a 5 speed manual transmission. Is it possible to mount a red block to it and what would it take to do so. Outside of new engine mounts.
Everything is possible. You will need a bellhousing from a redblock m90 and then get someone to cut the m56 bellousing off and attach the one from the redblock, that and peobably somemore fabrication to make it all fit. I love the idea of a fwd redblock!
@BackmansGarage thank you for your suggestion. I like the white block, but the red block in my opinion is a more reliable power plant with more potential. I really enjoyed your red block build videos. Thank you for your great videos I find them very informative.
Loved it like always. Great job and can't wait for the end results. My Volvo didn't pass MOT...... I ordered a new exhaust from jt with an 200cell cat because the current one didn't work anymore. I nearly have all the parts only one item missing and can't find it. It is for the rear springs, there should be a rubber part that hold the spring in place where it sits on the axle. At this moment the spring can shoot away when going over a big bump.
Haha, The MOT always gets me nervous :D Especially the exhaust values :)
Im sorry to hear that your cat is dead, I hope the new one will work out for you, i know the JT cat worked for me on an old 240 that I had way back.
Maybe you can source a used one from a scrapyard somewhere, dont think i have seen a new one.
@@BackmansGarage Do you know a place where I can get this part with number: 1051487. They are not sold by skanfix or any other place in the Netherlands.
@@jdcabauwnl I can only find it on one Russian site but it seems to be discontinued everywhere else. Might need to turn to the scrapyard for this one.
@@BackmansGarage it is all good. Thanks you for your time, I really appreciate it. Today it has passed the mot👌🏼 The new JT exhaust I have put on is a little to loud for my liking but the car drives alot better!:) Next step are new LPG injection sprouts so it will run good on lpg and cleaning the engine.# disgusting 😂
I would be so worried about the silicone melting. But i also worry too much lol
Ive had a couple of engine fires during the years and they are not too fun to be a part of. Hopefully is going to be fine, I will borrow heat logging equipment from work and log the inside temperature of the sleeve one the car is up and running.
Veckans bästa video!
Be careful with that wastegate and the heat shield. I had so many issues with it interfering. With smooth boost control.
It is a concern 😄 Hopefully it will work but I will keep everything under watch the first few days of driving.
Hopefully the turbo will be one of the first things to get upgraded
Jätte bra👍
Would you be able to confirm that these coolant line are still good even with heat ? Thanks !
Haven't run the car yet
Sorry I'm new to your videos. Why flip the turbo?
