  • Ahead of the 2023 Nigeria presidential elections, 20 participants of the GIRL-H program were invited to join a mobile journalism training to learn how to share their voices through social media platforms, furthering the program’s objectives to build confidence in youth participants.
Girls Improving Resilience through Livelihoods + Health (GIRL-H) is a Mercy Corps implemented 36-month program targeting adolescent girls, boys, and young people in Kenya, Uganda and Nigeria. The program aims to improve girls’ well-being by increasing their access to and uptake of life skills, health information, basic numeracy and literacy, and financial literacy, as well as foster pathways to formal education, economic opportunities, and civic engagement.
