As a long time Mariner's fan, my guess is NEVER.

Good analysis. Not sure Dipoto will make the necessary moves. Even if he does, I'm seriously concerned about if Servais can lead this team. He has no "feel" for team management.

I also agree with you on prospect hugging. They keep saying that they want to be “sustainable” and that’s why they want to keep the prospects, but they aren’t even good now. How can you be sustainable when you aren’t good now? And what Mariners fan thinks this organization won’t ruin these prospects in the future anyway? When have we ever developed a good hitter?

Spot on. Everything you say is exactly it.

Agree with you 100%. In the history of this franchise, there has never been a better opportunity to win a World Series. Bet the farm to get 3 impact bats and 1 reliever. I think Dipoto is doing his job but the "head of the snake" gives him little to no financial leverage to make a move. We should be dumping Haniger, but ownership won't allow it because they don't want to eat his salary... I believe our best chance at bats, live in Florda: Marlins or Rays. I also like Rooker, even if we overpay... Hell, the guy said he likes hitting in Seattle... Who says that? At the end of the day, I hold ownership ultimately responsible for the front offices inability to make little to no moves. We need an ownership group that is willing to put up more of their own money.

Unfortunately, I think this issue goes much deeper than just adding new players to help the team. There is an issue with the batter’s eye at the stadium, there is an issue with the hitting philosophy in the organization, they ruin every hitter they touch and now there’s a reputation about Seattle. No hitter is going to want to come play for us and none of these pitchers are going to want to stay here when they can’t get any run support. George Kirby is gone as soon as he has the chance.

If they wanted a dynamic player on a small contract they shouldnt have paid julio so quickly this franchise is just so inconsistent and boneheaded with even they way they try to be cheap. It would be comical if i werent a mariner fan

It’s EXTREMELY rare that the mariners pay someone that early they just have to hope he turns out as good as they paid him to be
