I have had squirrels chew through my shingles and into the overhang on my screened in porch. Now, I own a high velocity pellet gun. 15 bagged so far. They just keep coming. I can see the population starting to dwindle, though.

I can’t shoot worth anything, but my dogs have caught a few. I do a lot of raised bed and container gardening, and the squirrels and chipmunks dig holes in them all the time. It’s enough to make you crazy.

The fact he can see it and smell it really motivates that squirrel to keep trying.

He's still a persistent little bugger. It's like he thinks he'll get a different outcome if he just keeps trying 😂

He was trying really hard to get the cap off the top. Lol...they are smart and will try every way possible before giving up, that's for sure.
Glad you found a feeder that will keep him out. Now he has his own "table" that he thinks he conquered himself I'm sure. Lol Thanks for the video!

Add to his frustration by greasing the pool with coconut oil or Vaseline. Works really well plus they don't like the grease on their fur.

Same here. The smarter squirrels realized that being on the feeder closed it, so they learned to hang down and use their mitts to take out seed.

Can the squirrel tip the feeder

If the squirrel can find a way to get the lid off why don't the maker put a thread on the lid and on the casing that would make it harder for them something like a secure cap.

How are the birds supposed to eat when this slimeball is on the feeder?
