I have had squirrels chew through my shingles and into the overhang on my screened in porch. Now, I own a high velocity pellet gun. 15 bagged so far. They just keep coming. I can see the population starting to dwindle, though.
I can’t shoot worth anything, but my dogs have caught a few. I do a lot of raised bed and container gardening, and the squirrels and chipmunks dig holes in them all the time. It’s enough to make you crazy.
He was trying really hard to get the cap off the top. Lol...they are smart and will try every way possible before giving up, that's for sure. Glad you found a feeder that will keep him out. Now he has his own "table" that he thinks he conquered himself I'm sure. Lol Thanks for the video!
If the squirrel can find a way to get the lid off why don't the maker put a thread on the lid and on the casing that would make it harder for them something like a secure cap.

The fact he can see it and smell it really motivates that squirrel to keep trying.
He's still a persistent little bugger. It's like he thinks he'll get a different outcome if he just keeps trying 😂
Always fun to watch the squirrels try.
We drink coffee while we watch the show 😁
@@homeatserenitysprings2120 Hi FOLKS, Hope that Y'ALL don't get TOO TICKLED? Be snorting coffee out Your noses! BE SAFE
We’ve definitely come close a time or two
Excellent video... Thanks for sharing... Brome feeders are the best! I own three!

Add to his frustration by greasing the pool with coconut oil or Vaseline. Works really well plus they don't like the grease on their fur.
Vaseline that pole..good times, watching
He will just chew his way through the plastic.....that's what the they do around here....CHEERS
Fortunately, he hasn’t yet!
I don't think the squirrel is done yet. He will figure it out.
nice video
mine climbed up on the roof and hung from his back paws like batman into second story window
😂😂😂They are definitely creatively smart little boogers
Same here. The smarter squirrels realized that being on the feeder closed it, so they learned to hang down and use their mitts to take out seed.
Little rascals!!
Can the squirrel tip the feeder

@ John....Excellent question! Maybe the mfg will upgrade the design??
I actually hope they do upgrade it!
How are the birds supposed to eat when this slimeball is on the feeder?
Charles, exactly!!!!!
