One of my favorite books is 48 laws of power. I don’t actively use the information I’ve learned for my gain, I watch and take note when I see others that are doing it. It really lets you know who are the wolves among the sheep. The wolves come in all colors, shapes, genders, and skill.
I must admit, I initially bristled at reading 48 Laws of Power (still haven’t, but it’s on my list) because I thought anyone writing this must be an absolute psychopath. Obviously, I objected to MANY of the laws. However, after seeing interviews like this and hearing Ryan Holliday (someone I have immense respect for) talk about Greene as a mentor, I realized that I might have jumped to some conclusions. I’d like to hear Greene discuss the morality of the laws of power and whether he objects to people who have used them irresponsibly.
People always feel the need to say something like “I don’t actively use the information” lol and I say that because I get it…..same deal with The Prince by Machiavelli. I read that book once per year 3-4 years in a row a few years ago but never thought about how that might seem to someone else; especially someone I don’t know very well. As someone that grew up on hip hop through 70s onwards, I love seeing the men like 50 that have grown as men. I was working in the clubs during the time that song dropped and have been happy to see him sharing what he's learned. Makes me sad though watching what was a movement against crime and the streets transformed into what it is today. The origin in NY was meant to get kids out of street life and to have rap battles, free and safe space for graffiti and dance battles instead of street fights.

I absolutely meant the 70s when the genre began in the US in NYC and was encouraged for young people to avoid the street crimes going on in the Burroughs, when NYC was really dangerous. It was a safe way to have fun and end the street fights amongst the young people.
50 is like a street/business/life scholar. He was always very observant of everything around him and extremely calculating in how he moved. He's a very sharp minded individual

I don't like the glorification of any kind of evil, but God has blessed this man with wisdom and 50 has instilled in his heart to be vigorously diligent in his pursuit of getting rich, and richer.
