Officially got red of my old 96 and I'm getting the engine from it to build, ill have a lot of building videos for it and i might have my car re sprayed while my engine is out. I am looking to expand off this. I have the door popper mechanical installed. I want to also add a button to extend a wheelchair ramp, then withdraw. The ramp is already installed, manual switch shows which wires go to ramp. So I was thinking, following this install for the popper and perhaps windows controls for ramp. Do these kits come with instructions? I am guessing at at least 4 buttons on fob. Any thoughts?
This is a weld on kit They also make a direct bolt on.. I got mine from a company who is no longer in business but I’m sure you can find a decent kit on eBay..

Question I know you have car alarm installed and i was wondering is it possible to get something like this for a car door and not need a car alarm. And what about having the popper to be fuse with your own set of car keys and keep the handle. Could you do a video demo that just the popper on a car and hooking that up to the already existing car key remote. Cause the one i have is a oldmobile cutlass supreme 1996 and my god they designed a failed door handle the require you to not only lift the handle but to move the door just after it been open. or else you risk destroying the handle or the keeper inside. and also it has a remote trunk button and id like to not lose that lol

How did you put the door panel back into place with the popper mounted there, it doesn't seem like there would be any room for it, since that part of the door panel is snug up to the frame of the door. I have a door popper kit I am wanting to install, but can not seem to find a proper location that will give clearance to my door panel. HELP!!! Lol
Yea man had problems with that to. I'm not sure if the back of your door pannels are the same as mine.. On mine there's a hard plastic piece were the popper sits. I just cut out a peice the size of the popper and it fits back on. If u don't wanna cut into your pannel u cud try getn a longer wire for the popper and find a spot with more room. Good luck
The brand is electric-life and I got them on ebay. But that was two years ago I checked eBay can't find the exact one but if you type in "door poppers alarm" the first one that comes up looks about the same 135 bucks after shipping. Not too expensive and I haven't had a single problem with any of it since installation two years ago and I use it daily hope this helps.
I got my door solenoid mounted where my vents were in the car that's the only way the door panel fit and I had to Omit my inside door handle. I don't know how you put your door panel back on where you put your still annoyed but anyway now I'm fighting with the wiring.

I can't post pictures for some reason so idk how much hello I could get here, but it has 2 wires coming from the box that are not hooked up.One of a solo wire, black and looks to be cut.The other is in a plug with like 30 other wires, has a male connecter and looks like it's not been hooked up as it's taped together in a tight bundle. I feel like the solo cut wire may be constant power but is it safe to charge it to see?If you need a pic I need an email to send. But I will upload a pic on my channel if I can figure it out tonight.Also, the door locks and opener buttons don't work on there door neither. . 91 stealth. Lights on the door buttons light up, remote led lights up.
I'd like to help you out but it's hard with out seeing the wires kind of a lot of wires in there could be any one of them. All I can really suggest is make sure u have power to the box and working relays.. then make sure the wire from the popper are connected.. could also be the popper itself. This is a new kit I bought for the car because one of the poppers that came with it was burned out good luck
cool vid man i have a door popper kit but mine has the anti carjack mode and dome light illumination the anticarjack is like remote shut of and what not and my remote is a lcd with buttons that showa you constant updates about temp and location its pretty cool i think
Mine worked right after I hooked everything up. Check your battery's? Or your power wire to the whole system? Let me know if u get it working I can try to help more
the other red button is just in case your driving and the alarm goes off..you could press the button so it doesnt shut the car off while your driving..Its call anti theft button...or something like that.
+Toms Chevelle thats not the only thing it does. if your remote stops working you have a sequence you push and it will turn off the alarm. also i would put that led were it can be seen. i do alarms installes .

The button that you don't know what it is, is for Valet Mode, allows the alarm to be disabled to let someone else drive the car.
