I would say more than half the population in Japan consistss of bow-legged people. There are so so so many treatments recommended by chiropractors and they work. One of the most common ways to fix them is to put a light cushion between your knees and bend your knees while holding the cushion- 15 reps, 3 sets. Think so little bit yes but I have been slacking on the stretches. main thing is to train body to use the inner leg muscles more. Then once you accomplish that as muscle memory you will be strengthening those muscles throughout the day. As they grow it will straighten or make them appear straighter. Also take high doses of vitamin D3. But do research on that. You need K2 and magnesium too

This is a great question: Well, extreme sport, 9-5 etc. can cause muscle imbalances. Knock-knees and bow legs are not mere cosmetic phenomena but common issues that can be caused by an imbalance in the hip abductors (group of muscles that externally rotate the hip) and the hip adductors (group of muscles of the hip that help draw your thighs toward each other). Our lifestyles take a serious toll on our well-being. What affects your hips equally affects other parts of your body and may have an impact on the way you stand, walk, and even the way you look. They are closely interrelated and may cause your body to compensate, creating problems elsewhere. A healthy muscle is strong and flexible. Keeping your muscles healthy may be the best way to support the job of your hips and legs. Feel free to work-in with me here: ua-cam.com/video/jVxxWvK3zUo/v-deo.html. This simple sequence will help strengthen you adductors and lengthen your abductors. Good luck!

I’ve always had knee pain, I’m 21 years old and it’s been going on for probably 10 years now. I always complain to my wife. I hate how my thighs don’t touch and my legs are shaped weird. I finally had the idea to look up why, I found your video and I’m gonna begin these exercise today.
Thanks for this. I didn't realise I had bow legs until I was being measured for a suit by a tailor and he pointed it out. A well cut suit can disguise it but I don't want to wear a suit all the time! So I'll be trying these exercises.
I've got a question. If vitamin D deficiency contributes to that problem, wouldn't more exposure to direct sunlight also contribute to fixing it? Along with all the exercises, of course.
For the past 30year I've been suffering from it. It's still visible even if I put on the longest and loosely dress. People look at me and laugh. I don't feel like being among people
Thank you so much for this video! I can already see how bad posture and not working out has given me bowed legs. While standing, my knees don't touch and shins go outward, but if I'm sitting, my legs can be perfectly straight. However, like you said, I have had bad posture sitting and keep my legs spreading apart a lot of the time. If my feet, ankles, knees, and shins can touch while sitting, I firmly believe they can touch while standing once I do the corrections you have in this video. Much appreciated sir.
I haven't been 100% consistent with the exercises in this video. I do workout using the LIIFT4 program from Beachbody though so my legs are still getting some working. My left leg isn't really bad at all, but my right leg is noticeably bow-legged. The only thing I can attest to is stronger muscles and possibly slight bone movement. I was initially twisting my right leg slightly to make sure my toes were pointing perfectly straight, but that was wrong. Now I am making sure that I am pushing my hip adductors together when walking or standing still and my posture is automatically perfect. This seems to be stretching my bones or at least my knees. My knees don't crack like they used to when bent. Considering I am 25, my bow legs have been uncorrected for years so I am certain it will take longer than 1 month before I see visual progress. Muscle strength and good posture definitely are a good start though. I've been watching videos from this woman, and she has given a lot of great tips to help out. I highly suggest you check out her channel and make sure you are following her tips like the one I said earlier about pushing the hip adductors together. /watch?v=binI7nGkc9I
@@Silvermoon1k Wow thanks for the detailed response. I checked out the channel and I am immediately incorporating the tips given. My personal experience is when I'm active in my basketball and working out, my bowlegs seem to be less noticeable and I feel more confident standing up. Yeah it must be the muscles and the flexibility, so it's good to know that we can do something to mitigate significantly its bent look :D
@@shouko9097 Not that I can notice. There are so many factors to this that one has to be aware of though. This one lady has multiple videos that explain a lot. I wear baggy trousers and there is still a visible gap! I played tennis at school as a teen and the ball would fit through my legs with my feet together. So embarrassing
I'll try this. My legs are just a little bowed and I think that's what's causing my knee pain when I walk (pain in the joints, but closer to the outside of each joint). I also have some kind of flat feet but I have custom arch supports in my shoes.
I'm tired of my bow legs, I'll do this and update the comment every week 1 month after, I try to do it atleast 3 times a week, and there are changes, like some mms. I will keep doing this
Ello people of this world I’ll be doing these every day two times a day and I’ll report back in a month for a progress report have a nice day everyone.
Hi, Thanks for your video. Can i send the picture of my legs. I wanna ask if this can be corrected and not. Is it okay? Where can i send the photos? Thank you.
Hip adductors have both long like gracillis which is tight in bow leg and short adductors like adductors longus, brevis and Magnus will be weak. By doing the side lying inner thigh raise, we are strengthening the gracillis too. At the same time, long abductor which is IT band is weak in varum and external rotator of hip will be super tight. So we should stretch the short abductor and long adductors and the strengthening is just opposite. Hope it makes sense!!!!
Loved your video, thank you. Instead of sitting with splayed legs would crossing the legs at the knee help with the stretching the external hip rotators and help prevent the tightening of the hip adductors? This seems similar to the exercise of bringing the leg over and stretching. Also I can do this nearly all day. Thanks for the video.
For girls I kinda find it very sexy. I like Japan and Korean girls and most of them has that Bow Leg and I like it. It seems very sexy specially if your leg is white smooth and hairless but thats just my opinion though.
I don't know, man. Elsewhere I read that it's actually tight groin and deficiency in external rotators. Phemur is internally rotated and the knee hyper extended. Strengthening the adductors and stretching the abductors might even worsen it further...
Thank you man! I've been checking your content for a few months and I've lost a lot of fat and gained muscles. Can you plz make a video for broader shoulders

It depends on whether the bowed legs are caused by bone malformation or poor posture. If it’s bone malformation the only way to fix it is surgery. I’m 18 too and have had bowed legs my whole life but it’s caused by a curved shin bone, so exercises like these won’t solve it. I was told that the surgery for it had a very long recovery period so i chose not to do it. Do you want to fix them for aesthetic reasons or because of pain?
@Speed Gaming I believe its called a tibial osteotomy. But it's a super invasive procedure. They don't recommend it unless your bowed legs are having a severe impact. In my case I was having quite bad knee pains, so instead I got given insoles that raise my arches and it solved the problem, I hardly feel the pain now

Good luck!

Literally the same situation. Have you had any progress?

I don't know, man. Elsewhere I read that it's actually tight groin and deficiency in external rotators. Phemur is internally rotated and the knee hyper extended. Strengthening the adductors and stretching the abductors might even worsen it further...
