The Nissan's RB30 came factory in VL Holden Commodore and there was even a RB30 y60 GQ Nissan Patrol released in early 90s in Australia
I saw a VL here in Bangkok close to where I stay. And a VN (or Lexcen) limo in an underground parking lot with a ton of dust on it.

From the few drag races I've been to in Thailand, it's my observation that chassis engineering is almost non-existent here. The only one that got me to think "That one hooked well" is at 13:15 (the one before that was launching just plain bad for almost same trap speed and 1.2s slower). Assuming a stripped down weight of 2200 lbs (1000kg), there's 800+ whp in the silver one. And even they could prob shave 0.2 off the E.T. Many others left well over a second on the table judging by the trap speeds. Indeed you need to haul your balls in a wheel barrel if you intend to go fast in one of those death traps. They've all have big power turbos, but power delivery is atrocious, and drive-ability is just not there.

These cars are really powerful and this is not they best performance.. am really surprised to see that car run low 8.3 imagine all these guys on a better track !!

@@joshmaitie5954 Some of these cars could indeed go 1.5s faster if they got the power to the pavement, but most of them have fundamentally bigger problems with traction than just the track they are running on. They just don't hook right. Judging by their trap speeds (a good indication of whp available), some may have about 1000hp (and may possibly be capable of a bit more), not the 2000hp claimed in the title. That would mean potentially 6s ETs.
10-15 years ago it used to be that every modified turbo car on the street in Thailand had "600hp" (that was the mandatory number back then, nearly without exception) and I used to beat them left and right with a souped up Maserati Biturbo that dynoed 340hp/280whp (and a hilariously unrealistic 480whp at another very popular shop!!). It was a convertible (Spyder) built for fast twisties, so definitely not a "racer" of any sort...
Go to Thai drag races and you will see it all. Poor traction, bad running engines, turbos oversized by 2x, wrong gearing, hitting the guard rails, suspension failures, banging against rev limiter, slow/missed shifts, etc. I don't consider failures as "entertainment" so I stopped going. There's a lot of emphasis on bling, but even semi-professional builds are really rare here.
