Last week my boyfriend and I travelled through western Iceland by car and we listened to Berdreyminn basically on repeat. This is now the soundtrack to my memory of Iceland, every time I hear this song now, I will think of driving on a lonely road under a cloudy sky with the ocean to my left and snowy mountains to the right.

I've always been a fan of Solstafir's music, as I like their guitar playing and mostly the singing, I must say that this song is one of their best for me. Great atmosphere and music in commen here. Drumming's always in background for me so the leaving of Gummi isn't that important for me as for others. This song is an example that Solstafir works even without Gummi. Although I really like Katla too, I've bought their 7'' for more money than required. Just wanted to point out that there is something between black & white in liking Solstafir or not.
Well, honestly, I underestimated them, from the songs they've gave away as an appetiser I thought that the album is going to sound like Icelandic Nickelback, but the moment I saw this video I got it, the darkness and the harsh Iceland nature is still there, although somehow different, but magnificient nonetheless... Grand respect from Czechia, nice album you've made.....

I always love it how Solstafir's videos truly are driven by the music. It's a great video, not my favourite that they did but definitely great nonetheless. I'm so glad they went with Silfur-Refur as the title video. Here' hoping that Dýrafjörður will be next!
