This video was my "gateway drug" into Sólstafir's music, and I've been addicted to them ever since. Berdreyminn is one of those albums that you can put aside for a few months, but when you listen to it again, you will discover even more facets and you'll fall in love with it once more.

I really can't explain it, but I got STONED listening to Bláfjall. LOVE the Song, and even if I can't understand the Lyrics, I just CAN'T STOP LISTENING to it, over and over again...! Extremely beautiful AND powerful Voice & Music...

Really impressed of the recording quality. In this era, where some drum sounds midi, and some guitar sounds like synth, is't a good thing to listen to an album recorded in a properly way.

I'm Irish and love this band to the moon and back. Don't understand the Icelandic norse, but I FEEL this music. It's of the land, and with us being similar geographically and climatically, I understand it. It's the soulsong of the land.

Wow, this is absolutely gorgeous - not sure if I like it more or less than Otta, but both albums are probably my 2 favourites from them (and that's saying a lot; this band does no wrong!)
I didn't know what to expect with the tracks alone but when they're all together it's magnificent! That's why I love Sólstafir: you have to listen to their album entirely to appreciate.

I only heard one other album, the one with Fjara, love that song and what I heard of the rest of the album was good but this album, I ordered a copy as soon as I heard it yesterday; blown away by this awesome piece of work that I feel it as well as hear it.

The main hook on Ísafold is pure Wishbone Ash brilliance. I think it's best part of the album, which is saying a lot because this entiure album is incredible. Can't wait to see Solstafir again. I saw them at a festival when they were touring Otta and it was probably the best live performance I've ever seen.

I might have been skeptic after the first song was released but I'm glad that in the end, Solstafir lost nothing of their original sound, this album is simply yet another masterpiece! Glad I was able to snatch that Wood Box while they still had it up!

To me, this album sounds like what U2 would sound like if they were metal. The vocals, the atmosphere, the overall feel, it's all there, to my ear. I like the dismal and mournful feeling this album has, and it has a sweep unlike most bands out there that drags you in. If this had had a "modern" production, it would have lost so much vibe, to me. Excellent stuff!
