- In this bonus episode of Wandering Wagners, we unbox and do some initial review of @allpowersallpowers7896 AllPowers R4000 Power Station!
Amazon product link: amzn.to/3YoOgJ9
This arrived via @FedEx with some damage to the box and it was delivered in the rain and they just left it in the open vs under our front door awning. Luckily I was home a few hours later and pulled it inside to see that the box was pretty heavily damaged and upon unboxing the power station did have a gouge in the hard plastic.
So far it doesn't seem to be affecting the use of it but still for as much as this power station costs, I'd expect it to be treated more carefully!
We tested it with our giant @jbl PartyBox 1000
Bluetooth speaker! amzn.to/3XDyXvT
We knew this power station could run it but why not show the awesome speaker too! haha
Next we ran the @craftsman Air Compressor with ease.
We then hooked up 2 heaters and an electric blanket and again it did great. Pulling that amount of power it would drag the battery down rather quickly though.
Next we used it as an UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) on our freezers and internet equipment. It worked okay and took over the power almost instantly. I think the @OUKITELMobile P2001 actually performed this function better but they both are capable which is great!
What else would you like to see us test this power station on?
It is rather large and weighs 100 lbs but everything has its limits so lets keep putting it to the test!

That Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series sounds like an excellent choice for camping and home backup power! It has a massive capacity, fast recharging, and versatile sockets. Plus, it's built tough and waterproof. Definitely worth considering for anyone in need of reliable power on their outdoor adventures or during emergencies. Thanks for sharing your Venmo and hotline, but I'm just here to provide recommendations and information. Keep up the great content on your channel!
Glad I'm not the only one that stays aggravated with FedEx.
They even delivered it like that in the rain and didn't even put it under the front door awning🤦🏼♀️
Got one of this for my wife. I was impressed with the pkwer as she plug in an air fryer, a pressure cooker, and a a keurig coffee machine at once and it was able to power all these at once with no issue. It is also quite and the best part is I can charge this with the solar pannel and plug it in a generator or outlet and can be charge by 2 power source at once.
Great to hear!
Great review video, this was my first time seeing you guys. They are planning to send me this soon to use in a video so wanted to see what it was like. Looks like a good product and it’s crazy how fast these power stations keep getting bigger lol
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully yours arrives in better condition haha it really is crazy how big they are making these and how most are expandable now too! I remember years ago when they were all pretty small but REALLY portable but good luck running anything except computer and cell chargers lol let us know when you think of this power station. We do plan to use it (and the others) and do some more comparisons.
@@WanderingWagners What’s crazy is even this one is already starting to become mid range capacity lol. I’m seeing some new 5kwh batteries coming out and there are a few even bigger than that. I just subscribed and looking forward to seeing more of your videos. Just noticed we gave the exact same amount of subscribers 😂
@@TolbersCamping thanks for the subscribe! We'll check out your videos too. Looks like we are kind of opposites... We are well seasoned campers turned RVers and you're fairly new to camping! Awesome!
@@WanderingWagners yeah I got into camping just over a year and half ago. Started tent camping but shifted to van camping as setup and tare down is way easier. Don’t have to dry out wet dirty tents or carry a ton of stuff lol. Picked up a van for 3k that is my dedicated camper van, constantly upgrading my setup as I can. Hoping to upgrade to something bigger with 4wd soon. Your garage and rv looks epic by the way, I’ll get there some day 😁
That unit is impressive. The speaker looked awesome!
Thank you! 😁
I (Shawn) was all excited about the Bluetti but now I’m digging this one!
The Bluetti is pretty great but the wheels and handle is so much more convenient on this unit! Definitely bigger/heavier so it depends on what you want to do with it to see which would be better. Or be like us and collect them all😂
Mine was delivered the same way from the hacks at FedEx. Good thing they packed it well.
FedEx is the worst! We had another package they refused to deliver for weeks and weeks and their terminal is a mile away from the house. They kept saying no one was home and they never even attempted delivery, we have cameras🤦🏼♀️ plus we were home when they claimed they tried! Frustrating
I think I speak for a lot of us, but I want a review of that speaker!
Haha we can do that if wanted. It's pretty awesome and gets used a lot, which is good because it was stupid expensive
Thanks and great presentation, and you answered my question at the end, and for that I'm a new subscriber to this channel now.
Thanks for the feedback! Welcome to the channel👍🏻😊
I bought one of these and it’s great but I wanted to buy two more to parallel them and they said they can’t do that as of now and that will be later units but they advertised them as they can scam
We just love all of your goodies you guys pick up! Always keeps me on my toes! 🤣🤣🇺🇸
It keeps us on our toes😜
I am waiting to see how you add to your Nexus. This may work great for boon docking. Will you run roof solar panels down to your storage bay ? It might be and easier way to add solar for me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
We have portable panels we can plug into it if need be.
I'd like to see how long it can run a full sized refrigerator. Like I think one of the best use cases for these things is if the power ever does go out for more than an hour or so, the refrigerator is one of maybe a couple of things in the home that just can't be powered down for very long. Also, fridges obviously use more power when they run longer so I'd like to see how something like this would do running a full sized fridge that is being used the way you normally would use a refrigerator.
I have a smallish power station for my refrigerator but when the power goes out, I don't open the fridge because the compressor will run much more and drain the battery faster.
That's a great idea!
Most people are getting ~24 hours out of a 12V 100Ah battery through a decently efficient inverter. So at about triple that….I’d say no less than 2 days and up to 4 days if you’re conscious about not opening the fridge unnecessarily.
This is going to vary greatly on the age of your fridge. Most of the newer fridges are going to be significantly more efficient than a clunker from 20+ years ago….so if you have a garage fridge consider spending the money to get something more efficient if it needs to be one of your “critical loads”
The idle power of the inverter is going to be another issue. Large inverters like this are inherently bigger idle draws. Small 2500W 12V loads. You can get away with using 1/0 or 2/0 on medium sized 48V systems and most of the larger inverters have dual inputs for your battery and recommend doubling up on 2/0.
4/0 gets really expensive really quick. I think it’s about $10 a foot vs $6’ish a foot for 2/0. 4/0 lugs aren’t cheap either (DO NOT BE A CHEAP SKATE ON LUGS AND CRIMPING. VERY IMPORTANT. Make quality cables using $2-$3 lugs and a $40’ish dollar hydraulic crimper and they’ll last you over a decade easy. You don’t have to buy a $200 Temco crimper there are knockoffs all over the internet that do an acceptable job. Just make sure the included dies are of decent quality and match up with your wire gauge AND the lugs you use. Use an angle grinder to cut a lug in half after crimping. No wings on the outside and the inside should be a solid piece of copper)
That speaker is off the hook awesome!! Plus finally a power station that could run my wifes hair dryer!!! Lol!
Thanks! The speaker is amazing for sure. This will definitely run her hair dryer for a long time haha
Awesome JBL 👍
Thanks! It's pretty nice and Lynn uses it a ton in the garage gym
The FedEx guy was anxiously waiting for you to peel that screen protector off. There's no returning it now! 🤣🤣🤣
I like having a bunch to cycle out to the load or charger. IDK about that speaker. You going to get complaints about the lights on it🤣🤣🤣 you still should get at least a 2200 peak inverter generator. We camped 2 weeks in the rain Cades Cove and that was the charger. I do think that's the end all SG though. If Lynn can pick it up. You know I bet she can.
Haha so signature so they left it out in the rain😩😂 no surprise there haha
We use the speaker at the house, mostly when Lynn works out haha
Speaking of that she can definitely pick it up😂
Thought about getting this for RVing to use as a battery bank and UPS. You'd have to buy a 50amp to EV charger adapter, then connect your RV directly to this thing using the 30amp outlet. Keep it under your slide and on top of cinder blocks to keep it out of the sun and rain. I wonder if anyone's already done it.
I'm sure someone has
Yes I purchased one of those and I didn't know you was going to get the cables with it mine did not come with it and mine looks different than yours so Houston we have a problem I will be getting in touch with him mine won't even run a 100 watt light bulb overnight
That sucks to hear! Hopefully they will get you sorted out
I'm sure it will power anything up to 3600w but the time it last is the major thing if you recharge during the day it needs to last at least 8hrs
That would depend on the load
Would be nice if you can connect 2 units together and get 240v
I love that speaker but the main problem that I have with any bluetooth speaker is with my phone which is android, the audio is very low with the exception of using the bitty boomer speaker which is very loud for a speaker the size of a golf ball but has it's limits.
It should have a separate volume for Bluetooth items. Been awhile since we had Android though. Even on quiet this speaker sounds amazing!
@@WanderingWagners There is something in the settings called absolute volume but it didn't change much. The volume issue is present when using the headphones jack (yes my phone has one) and it seems to be an android issue so I need to use a small kicker amp that I made to get any amount of decent volume out of the phone. Could be an impedance issue but why does it affect bluetooth devices? Who knows.
Mike,
Have you upgraded your water heater? I'm going tankless on my Wraith. Since the platform the water tank rests on was not secured to the floor, the vibrations made the small wood platform move from under the tank which made the tank hit the floor which in turn bent & cracked the face plate and then disconnected the vent from the plate which of course broke the unit. But it also may have been the charred electrical cord that the hot tank was resting on that made it stop working. I'd like to send you some photos of it. Anyway you should at least get under there to inspect it if you haven't recently. Not totally happy with my Wraith, the workmanship I feel is equivalent to high school kids on summer break working their first job.
Austin
We have not replaced the water heater in ours. No issues for us other than tightening the lines when we first got it. We do take the panel and drawers out occasionally to check things out. Send the pics to our email if you'd like wanderingwagners81@gmail.com
What year is your Wraith?
When you tested the UPS function did you think to run the battery down until the power station shut off? Will it restart when utility power is restored? Most power stations do not.
We did not run it all the way down but that's a great idea to run it down to see how it'll do and especially when power is restored etc
Hey there Wagners! I have been thinking about getting this solar genny for a couple weeks now, have you used it much since this video? Any thoughts
We haven't used it much since this video. We do plan to but just haven't yet
@@WanderingWagners I'd love to hear how it goes!
Really like the videos but some times I have a hard time hearing what you say, yes I'm and older guy and the volume is turned up but it seems like the camera doesn't pick the audio up good or it doesn't for me. I enjoy the channel and I am not complaining just an observation.
We have mics on and have for several months so it's not the camera audio. We will verify it's louder/turn up the mics in our upcoming videos!
I am trying to use one as a back up system for my other house just wondering if it’ll run the furnace in the house please let me know thank you
Great idea! We will see if we can test that out and add it in the update video👏🏻👍🏻
lol you got me more interested in the JBL PARTYBOX, thanks!
That's the real star of the video! It's amazing 👏🏻
@@WanderingWagners Yes, indeed.
I think Lynn's right. Maybe Mike should start a 12 step program for RV gadget freaks. Maybe call it GFA for Gadget Freaks Anonymous. The entry fee would be half of your RV gadgets to be auctioned to support the group and by Lynn beer for putting up with the meetings. Just a thought. Yes, yes peeling those plastic protective films off of screens are very satifying. It's so satisfying to me that I even peel them off of other folks stuff. Keep the good stuff coming guys.
Haha I like that idea😂
I just purchased one and when l plug in my RV surge protector on the 30 amp it says reverse polarity, would that be a concern for returning it?
I would contact customer service. Are you using any adapters like 50 amp to 30 amp?
Thinking of getting this. What are your impressions after having it for a while?
It's been able to handle everything we've thrown at it so far. We've only had it a few months or so but so far so good
Great if you want a stand alone unit but if you plan on doing back ups for a house or rv I would say no
power up a tower desktop computer to see if its a true UPS feature, if it is, then its a great buy regardless of the price! i love this product already!
Good idea however, We actually don't have a desktop computer anymore to try this with.
Would like to see the voice control option, I haven't seen any power station do this!
Great idea, we haven't used that option yet so would be good to test
that’s a cool speaker
Thank you! We love it
Let's see a test on how long it can power the entire rv with fridge and 1 AC running....and I know we would have to wait for spring at least as its winter now....unless its done in that bad azz garage 🍻
It seems most who purchase these use them for home backup use and for emergency situations with their rigs when out on the road or for that quick stop to grab a bite while the pups are left in the rig...hence needing the AC to run to cool it off....when they don't have or want a big LIFEPO4 battery/inverter/solar set up of course.
Great ideas! Thanks, Eric
great video how about hooking up a fridge or a stove. Thank you for sharing
We don't have an electric stove but we can do a refrigerator! Thanks, Debbie!
Hi can you see if it would run a domestic washing machine. I'm in the UK but I love the review. Thanks
We tested the washing machine in this video for a different power station but I'm sure this one could do it too!
ua-cam.com/video/J3WFrqIFaSk/v-deo.html
Can you plug it to gas generator and solar panels to charge it at same time ?
I believe so according to their info it can be plugged into different things to charge at the same time
Yes, if you had a constant 1500 watt load, how long will it last?
According to their website, 1500w will last 2.2hrs continuous.
www.iallpowers.com/products/allpowers-r4000-power-station
I think the only way to test that power station is to plug the Wraith into it. I see it's 30amp but I'm sure you have an adapter.
Yes we have an adapter. We will have to plug it in and see how long it lasts!
plug in the solar pannels and plug the Wrathe in to the power source gen. 30 amp . Lets see what happens.
Good idea!
Thanks for showing the Allpowers R4000. I would really like to know if it makes any noise while it is working...Could you please comment on this.
It has a cooling fan in it but it's not loud at all
Did this replace the Monster pro model?
Not sure if it replaced it or if it's just another option in their lineup
How tall is it to the top of the handles? It needs to fit in my truck bed, which has a clearance of just over 21" with the cover on.
Just measured and it's 20 3/4" tall
Thank you! That's perfect!
Can you take Zelle or paypal? I'd like to contribute something, but don't use venmo.
That's not necessary, but if you'd like to, we have a PayPal as well(arcflashlynn@gmail.com)
On it's way
Does your house have a water pump ? I have purchased a gendome 3000 & an AllPowers r3500 neither run my water pump , the r3500 will run it but it does allot of chugging before it starts. I have a forty foot well with an above ground.5 Hp McDonald pump at 115 volts. Thanks for the informative video.
No, sorry our house doesn't have a water pump
Why did you skip over the power button part, out of the box I pushed the power button and nothing. Then I plug in the charging cable to my wall outlet and it's been at 70% for 3 hours, so I unplugged it and the unit shut down, at 70% charged. So I pulled up the on/off switch in the back of this unit, then tried to power it up again and it came on, showed the ALLPOWERS symbol then shut back down. Then I tried to charge again with the on/off switch up this time and it's still at 70% for another hour or two. I reached out to customer support, told them the problem I'm having with this unit, they put me on hold for an hour or so then the phone call was disconnected. Any type of help would be appreciated......
4:20 we talk about verifying the breaker is on so that it charges etc.
We haven't had issues like you described so we can't help because with the breaker on, it charged up and worked perfectly.
You can add six of those generators together can you also add batteries to it then it might make it a good generator.
You can try to do that if you'd like
I want to see it run a dryer please!!!
It's only 120v
@@WanderingWagnerswhich solar generator will run a home dryer?
@@WanderingWagners Can it do 220v from two units?
That output 30A. Is it 220 to 230V? can it run a dryer?
It's only 120v
I'm curious to know how long can it sit unused from delivery, and uncharged.. would it degrade with long term disuse .. 🤷🏿♂️❓
That's a great question and something I haven't really considered but since these are lithium batteries they do have a pretty good life span, unlike typical batteries. I guess each power station could be subject to what the mfg states. We try to use them to keep them in use and topped off on case we need them for a storm or trip
@@WanderingWagners 🙋🏿♂️ many thanks for your response, now, i believe you'll be on the look out to monitor one or some of those other units you have lying around and this one in time , while you test other new arrivals.. i hope to catch the episodes you upload on those studies.. thank you again.. 🧔🏿👋🏿👋🏿
Hi bud. Thank you for the awesome video. Can you do a comparison wirh ecoflow delta pro when you get a chance?
If we ever get the Delta pro we will do that
@@WanderingWagners I appreciate your response. Have a great day.
Yeah I have a few FedEx stories too. But not right now. If I understood you right you can charge that from a EV charger? I would like to see you charge it from zero to 100 percent and see how long it takes,. The Pennsylvania state parks have free EV charging stations, 2 of which are about 10 miles from me.
Yes you can charge it from an EV charger! We will run it down and see how long it takes to charge! Thanks for your input👍🏻😁
What ev charger? J1772?
What about the noise when it is in charging position ?
Don't really notice it, there a cooling fan that will run occasionally

How is this unit holding up after 10 months? Do you use solar panels to charge it?
It still works haha we honestly don't use it that often as we prefer other ones for Boondocking trips so far
@@WanderingWagnerswhat ones do you prefer for boon docking? Does it run the Rv on 30 amp? Have you tried to charge it with alternator or other battery power?
@@JeffOSU1997 we have used our Bluetti power stations and panels the most when we boondock

All power says 40 amp. You wouldn’t want to sell that one would you?
Y'all do know that people that buy generators for home use want to know how long it will last on a fridge, right?
This is one that we'd take camping personally. That's why we ask.
OK you’ve been saying you’re gonna try different things that people request so when exactly can we expect you to show us how it will run a refrigerator freezer and how long it will last we are waiting. Jim

Delta pro vs all powers R4000?
Can't say because we haven't put hands on the Delta pro
Plug your RV into it and see if it will run things ei: air conditioner, micro , and other stuff.
Thanks for the feedback on what you'd like to see!👍🏻👏🏻
Is it solar?
It can be charged with solar, yes
EV charger is such a good idea. Any other brand makes power station with EV charger or is this the only one?

Might want to get a portable generator then
Way too expensive for me. $4,300, it's crazy! More expensive than ecoflow Delta pro with same capacity. Heard customer service is nowhere to be found according to crowdfunding customers so it's something to think about!

I'm positive it'll do it because we've welded with a smaller power station but we should definitely try it on this one too. Thanks for the feedback😁👏🏻
Holy crap that this is expensive.
Yes it is! Pretty insane what these things go for
Just charge it from solar and run it continously for 72 hours. So it can be seen working 24/7
As long as it's sunny, sure
@@WanderingWagners because their monster x Pro 2000 was terrible. I want to run this for a house from a 2400 Watts solar array. So I need to see if this worth it or go for the more expensive ecoflow and bluetti alternative
Ok first off I need to state I do not work for FedEx. You can’t blame FedEx for that damage. Look at that packaging! That thing weighs 50kg (110lbs). AllPowers clearly failed in their packaging design. At minimum that should have been overpacked and with a heavy cardboard! 110 lbs! My Bluetti weighs 62lbs and that was overpacked. Sorry, but that is an AllPowers fail, not the shipping company’s fault.
You aren't wrong there. We did tell the company and send them pics. They said they'd make improvements in their shipping dept so there's that.
We have had bad luck with FedEx consistently throughout the years unfortunately.
FedEx? More like FedUp! Companies need to quit using them, too many better alternatives
Agreed!
DONT CARE MUCH FOR ALL THAT EV BUSINESS NO THANK YOU BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THAT OUTFIT SHOULD RUN MY CPAP ALL NIGHT TAKE CARE GOBBLESS
You don't need to use the ev charger, it's just there in case/for more charging options. It'll definitely keep that CPAP running!

I just bought one because of sponsored videos. This is garbage. Mppt clicks in low sunlight, the ups refuses to let the unit charge. The Ac sporadically switches off.
Wow, I'd get in contact with the supplier/mfg to see if there's an issue with yours that maybe you can return/exchange it.
Wow it comes to Spring PA very special I like to send U p h o t o s but how
I have this product and all i can say is this is a piece of junk that over heats and if you plug in devices while its running. its going to shut off to ac mode . not to mention it stinks when the fan turns on!
That sucks to hear! We haven't had those things happen but it's not our favorite power station that we have
@WanderingWagners So did you get the issue resolved? Not sure I understand your issue. The AC gets disconnected when too much power is draw? Or AC charging stops?
@@RICARDOABECH how am i going to get the issue resolved with a garbage company like allpowers that never replies and loves to ignore people! the amount of power i was pulling was more than ok for it to handle. but because they rushed this cheap product. there is many errors and they dont care because all they wanted was to make money as fast as possible. Ac shuts off if you plug in a big load of power even its a load it can handle . but to give you an example. i was pulling 500 watts and as soon as i plugged in anything else like a tv. it shut off the ac power . I have used generators for many years with generators that use less power than allpowers is claiming it can handle and never had problems like this or a BAD smell coming out when the fans turn on. as far as im concerned allpowers is a scam company that NO ONE should ever buy from . stick to bluetti or echo flow
