How long did you run the heater at >600 watts? Thank you for the content. Great review. It’s a shame the only single review on Amazon was from someone with a DOA unit.
Thanks! Indeed, I saw that on Amazon, that's too bad as the one I have worked pretty cleanly. I didn't run it that long for the testing, maybe 5 minutes or so. Seemed to kick out at the same place at about 750W or so. I tried starting at 1200W and it kicked out almost immediately...
@@AlienDrones I was concerned about overheating at over 600 watts. I have tried to run 650-660 watt loads with my Bluetti EB3A and it wouldn’t run it for more than a handful of seconds. I have a specific use case for an mobile induction cooktop burner that was suppose to use 600 watts. Great! Except that 600 watts is actually 650-660 watts and the little EB3A isn’t having it. This little unit has it all. I would have purchased this over my EB3A or EcoFlow River 2 (300 watts) because of the two 100 watt PD ports. That’s the one feature I haven’t seen on many lifepo4 battery station with built in AC charging. Thanks again.
@@AlienDrones I'm new to this stuff, Ian drove me too it. Untill now only use was 6000 mah and 25000 mah USB battery backup but this is different kind of animal.
@@AlienDrones I just got this and it was drained so recharging it now. The manual stinks and the app has no help. I can't get a to stat off but USB does. Is this a problem
It was instantaneous (well, 10 ms). I bumped the light switch with my had when I pulled the cord out so I just removed that since it was my error, but there was no perceivable switchover time.
With UPS functionality and having AC power available, it seems to still pull power from the battery. That is a huge issue if you can draw AC power to a higher wattage than the battery can charge or your AC load does go above 600W during normal, we have AC power and it is not an issue situation. That's not UPS. If I have 400W of load and charge 200W from the wall with AC power pulled in, the battery will eventually drain. Not only that, the loud fan will be cooling the battery, when in fact the battery should not even need to be used if AC power is available.
Hello! Based on your info I tested the one I have. I ran it plugged into AC at 273W input with 372W output and it continued to charge at about 1% increase per minute. If I unplugged the input power the % charge dropped about 2% minute and when plugged in to the wall again to charge it stopped decreasing and again started to increase the charge at about 1% per minute increase (while the load was still 372W output). So with this limited test it is indeed running off AC and continuing to charge while supplying the AC pass-through voltage, acting like a UPS, not a battery backup. The fan continues to cycle during this test, but that does make sense because the voltage is still charging the battery so the current is still flowing through the inverter causing heat. Now, I still think the fan is obnoxious and my opinion is that they have a faulty component or design issue with the thermistor that controls the fan as it should not cycle as much as it does, even when trickle charging, something that they seemed to have addressed in the R2500 as the fan is quiet and is variable. My thought is that the way yours is working it either needs a firmware update or there is something wrong and it needs to be repaired. Seems more like a faulty unit rather than a design issue in this case, unless they broke it with a recent update or a factory issue as functionally we have different acting units. Hope this helps!
@@AlienDrones Thanks for the testing. If the battery is at 100%, then it stays at 100% and the fan does not turn on, then the power is supplied from the wall. How much power can you pull on 100% battery before it begins to pull power from the Power Station? I assume that will be up to the maximum AC charge wattage of the power station. I just do not know if that is the case or not. If it is the case, what that wattage is. For me, it really would make a lot of sense if it could double as a UPS. I am looking to use this for our modem/wifi and a PC as a UPS. If we have a power outage, we can power off the PC and just run the modem and WiFi to give us internet on tablets, and phones, and run an LED-powered lamp. If the power outage goes on for an hour or more it should not be a problem. Then... I can still take it mobile when we want to go out to the beach and whatnot. That means the price makes a whole lotta sense. The issue is if my equipment pulls more than the AC charge wattage, then it may drain the battery and the fan might run. That's not something you want running next to you while using a PC. You also do not want the power to cut as the power station shuts off due to the battery status.
@@edwarddesposito4476 No worries, as a point of reference, in my case it was only at 15% battery charge, the load was 372W and the charging wattage was 273W, and the battery charge continued to increase about 1% per minute. Not sure where or if it would stabilize at some point as I know the closer the battery level gets to 100% the less wattage it charges with, so maybe there is some curve crossover in the middle somewhere, not sure. If that fan would be variable or quieter or have a more reasonable cycle time it would make this unit a whole lot better IMO.

Hmm. I use android and I don't recall needing GPS enabled. I have a new model (an R2500 that I'll be releasing the vid for tomorrow 😎) that I'll have to try it on. If it does need GPS that does seem intrusive...
The GPS thing is actually a bit misleading and is due to how Android handles permissions. You'll notice the permission is for location, not GPS specifically. You'll get that permission request for most apps that connect to devices using bluetooth. Android requires the location permission for the app to be able to see nearby devices, even if it's not looking for location data specifically. It does this because a list of nearby devices (e.g. nearby WiFi networks) can be enough to figure out a location anyway (there are databases of networks and devices and where they are physically located, and a list of what's nearby can be used to figure out roughly where you are) Android isn't telling you "this app wants to know where you are", it's telling you "this app wants information that could potentially be used to figure out where you are".

This looks like another version of the eb3a and identical specs. Even the app . I'm sure Bluetti OEMd this product. I know ecoflow did to one of their models. I hate when Chinese companies do this it fragments the market and fragments the support. I worked for a Chinese tech company and what happens to support when OEMd is the chain of command is longer. This results in a longer wait time especially if it's a warranty exchange. And Bluetti is already known for bad customer service.
Got mine on Amazon. Had shipped to family in Oregon. Then had shipped via barge to me in Alaska. Almost a year later I decided to try and use it for camping. I had too much faith in this product. It won’t hold a charge. Literally does during charging. No Bluetooth function as stated. App is useless. Does not function at all. No charging for anything. Followed instructions to a T which is honestly simple. It dies/completely loses its charge when unplugged after a few minutes. This was altogether a HORRIBLE buy. And I’m feeling some serious buyers remorse and feeling like an absolute idiot for not testing it right when I got it. I spent hundreds on this (purchased with the solar panel) plus shipping. All down the drain. And the support email is bogus. I hope this comment helps others in the future. If you buy this, try it immediately after receiving it.

WHY does an app need my location? I quote; "The GPS thing is actually a bit misleading and is due to how Android handles permissions. You'll notice the permission is for location, not GPS specifically" and once again how does an app or device determent location? WHAT DOES any app ask for location have you enble? WHAT WHAT YOU MEAN GPS not specifically???? You sir need a GPS to locate your brain cell!!!
Tring to redefind location dont change the fact you or the app asking you to turn on your "location" finding function aka GPS. IF location can be done with just wi-fi or BT does ANYONE need to add GPS function?????
How does app knowing my location help wi-fi or BT enable device to find my earbud let say? Let say the app knows my location then that somehow know my earbud is in a lake underwater 20 miles away?
Ahh, all this crap to say, it only perpose for company to ask for location for said app oh btw it does not mean GPS who you kidding. Magical if you turn said GPS function on said app it works O_O! Location somehow mean GPS what a discovery.
Its not landing a rocket on a pole, trouble shooting app by turn funtions on and off like wi-fi, BT, and GPS will tell you what the app really asking for isnt it? You can claim or redefine all you want the fact the app will only work if you have GPS turn on. Again try having it off see if that working for you, if it does great I am the only except somehow. THIS a battery APP not a map app.
Regardless, I'm just pointing out the app will only find your decvice if you have GPS enble and take that what you make of it, so it dont matter its location or your 2 last remaining brain cells this post had come to an end.
Many differences to the Eb3a mainly 300w solar input on the Allpowers and the eba3 reduces voltage to get 600w to name a few (duel USBC, XT60 input..)
Service is waardeloos van allpowers
Good advice to always check products before the return period expires. Isn't there a 24 month warranty?
I wish I knew this is a click bitte video, too.
