Thank you for your brilliant advice. I decided to skip the expensive solar panels and batteries. Can you test and compare generators and power stations? I will appreciate it
You bloody legend Jeb. Hope things are good with you mate. still loving out Nova but thinking about something smaller. I know you dont do Nova anymore - what are you guys selling? Nick McDonalkd
Hello, I have a question. I drive a 2012 Chevrolet Express g2500 and I spent more time on the road, what is the cheapest setup to heat up my van while I sleep at night because currently I run my car heat to remain warm. Thanks
In a pinch I'd use the Air conditioner on heat, but it would make far more sense to use a gas or diesel heater if you plan on more than the odd day in a cold environment.
@@paulstevens5267 Hi Paul, the Honda 2.2 won’t run these items at the same time. They will run each item individually. So if you need to use the microwave, you will just turn the aircon off first 👍
I’ll use my generator when I can and where I can, if you don’t like it too bad, if you want them band go to the federal government the banning everything else
@@ausguy4385 Have you read the ASNZS 3001.2? All batteries now must be in a sealed cavity vented to the outside, with no access to the inside of the caravan. This is for new builds.
People running generators in camp grounds should be banned. Get a decent inverter and plenty of solar input and you don’t need a generator. If you want to run air conditioners, go to a caravan park.
Nothing more annoying than the serenity being shattered by some idiots running an air fryer or air con with a generator 😢 if you need that crape your not a camper.
Very good, thank you. As a very remote 4WD, my genny is a great back up. One also needs to carry a ULP jerry can and spare oil.
Add some F10 fuel treatment to the generator fuel, as it helps preserve the fuel if the generator is not used for some time.

Thanks. Good info on generators. Should I turn off or unplug the inverter before using Generator ? Thanks
P.s. have Enerdrive system

We always recommend a diesel heaters.
Great video. I see it runs your air conditioner on cold but what about on heat as I think heat uses more power?
yes it runs on heat easy
Thats what disel heaters are for

Thanks for your video. I'm learning! How long could you run the aircon on the generator tank?
about 7 hours
Well said .. and good hair 😁
Thank you for the vid
Does that arrangement need some sort of earthing system? Plugging in at a caravan park gives you the earth but this system doesn’t seem to have that.
No it does not need an earthing system provided your generator is placed directly on the ground.
0:45 "12 volt is the current that is coming from your battery". Say what? Volts aren't current.
So, a Honda 2kva generator runs an aircon, microwave, and simultaneously even
Must be a small aircon

nobody runs a generator that close to the van--- carry a 30m power lead
👍👍❤️🙏🇦🇺
Don't waste your money o solar generator all the way
New vans don't have to have chassis mounted batteries...
All credibility gone...

Full agree. People with generators are a pain. They should be banned
Put your fingers in your ears then
Don’t camp where generators are permitted then
Pure noise pollution.
