I think you really do nail the character of steven in every song you do. There are so many covers and so many different takes on the songs, but you honestly seem to be *the* person who expresses what steven is.
This has always been my favorite SU songs and it was so sweet seeing Steven connect to and relate to his mom in her old room. It felt like he finally understood her and who she was as a person after being such a mysterious figure for so long. It makes me wish even more that the story just stopped when the show ended. This beautiful song and moment seemed to be ruined by the movie and SUF making Steven suddenly despise his mom and treat her like evil incarnate.
