Thank you for your review. I also have a 2020 red Prince. It is a wonderful bike. Like you, I changed out the wheels to carbon Roval C38 wheel set on Pirelli P Zero tubeless tires. I live in the central coast of California and have ridden over 10000 miles in 2 years. Thanks and be safe. Dan
Hello, just want to thank you for an absolutely honest video. I was looking at several bikes and after listening to you I decided to purchase the Prince 🙂
I swapped out my Zipp 303 S wheel for Zipp 404 Firecrests. What an upgrade. The 404 are faster everywhere and a bit light to boot. The biggest difference is the engagement of the hub. It's so much quicker and more direct.
I agree with you absolutely on the dogma vs prince eval. I ride a 2021 prince ultegra di2 w /hunt 50s . The bike is heavier than a lot of other bikes out there, but it’s so comfortable and stable, and I feel like you can really throw the power down no matter what the conditions. And very few brands can beat the italian design aesthetics :-)
Third video on a row, bmc, cervelo and the prince. Like the tone and point of view. Long time ago I used to be a neopro in Belgium. Now 25 years later the differences between top bikes and second tiers in term of performance are just out of our common leagues, to your point. Wout van haert on a prince would win any cat 1 around our neck of the wood. Great content keep the show on. A request if possible, on the review could you add sprint / attack feelings on the different gear. Looking for information on lateral stiffness and power transfer . Thx
Thank you for sharing your honest insights. I am currently searching for a new road bike. That is out of my riding skills but working towards it. I want a bike that will challenge me to get better. Your review for the Prince will be added to the list of bikes to try out. Thank you.
More good content. You are correct and pretty perceptive as a rider to notice the nuances of a "lively" frame. I have always felt strongly that there are certain framesets, that due to carbon layup schedule, or design, what have you, just ride perceptively better than others. My choices that have never wavered, and drive my perception of what a road bike should feel like, have been the Focus Izalco Max, the Cervelo R3, The Dogma F8, and the 2015/2016 Orbea Orca OMR, that after riding a customers I immediately bought a frameset, and continue to ride it today. These choices show my age and they are all rim brake models, so take that for what it is worth.
just purchase a prince altegra disc 2022 love your Channel I really would love to ride with you. I'm way over budget on this project but I really really love how it feels to disappear and come back 44 miles later
Great reviews! Only just got round to finding your channel. I’m interested to know how found your ideal stack and reach given that most bike companies would put you on a 54 or 56cm! You and I are identical in height and inseam so I may size down myself…up to two sizes it seems. Thanks
Well said, thks for sharing your thoughts! Curious on what's your opinion about the Framesets that come with a Lifetime warranty (Trek, Cervelo, Specialized, Factor) vs The ones who don't (mostly European high-end brands - Pinarello, BMC, Wilier). Are these high-end brands that sure of their quality and craftsmanship? From the customer pov, isn't it good to have that added sense of security that the Framesets we bought has the lifetime warranty (not valid for accidents). Thanks in advance!
This is such an excellent question which probably deserves a longer form answer. Way I always looked at it, shorter term warranty vs lifetime really didn't impact me one way or another. It's almost inevitable I would either sell at some point or buy one used which wouldn't carry the warranty to the subsequent owner. I almost feel like I would also notice any issues on a frame within a year if there would be an issue giving me plenty of time to deal with if so even if the warranty doesn't last lifetime. Probably not the best way to approach but that's just me personally albeit possibly flawed way of thinking.
Hi Andrew. I briefly contemplated that myself but ultimately decided against it and went with the standard Prince. By the time you spend extra $ for FX, despite it being lighter, I don't see the value proposition personally. Standard Prince to me is plenty awesome enough of a ride.
@@DiabeticCycling thanks mate, appreciate you taking the time to respond. Turns out i cant get a FX anyway, unless i want black on black, which i really didn’t want. Am asking about Prince availability. Might have to also ask about Dogma availability 😳. Oh, and really good vid dude
Thanks for the great and down-to-earth review! I enjoyed is so much!! One question, how do you like your bike's color in person? (I think you mentioned that it was not the color you originally wanted to get..) I am thinking about getting a Prince but don't know what color I should get cause I haven't seen one in person ^^ anyhow, keep up the good work!
Hi there. Thanks for your time watching. As to the color, the red on mine is actually pretty pleasing to the eye. I wanted a Blue Steel but that was hard to come by and also in my size. As to this red of mine, you can get a better idea on my episode 23 where I did the initial review. The first few minutes is all bike and its color without me rambling on which you would get a better look at it. Thanks!
I am shocked that you dont have 100k followers!. Im looking to buy a 2021 prince with ultegra mech slightly used, they are askkin 4200$, is that a good price?
I checked the geometry charts and they are so close that i got the prince frameset only and rim brake i had a f10 i crashed it a few years back and got a specialized allez sprint and also a giant tcr i favor aggressive geometry and i don't think the prince will let me down once i build it

Love it. I am running the P-zero's on a few of my bikes currently myself. Thanks Daniel for your time!
Always thank you for great information. What we want and what we need is (most of the time) not same. although we might think its same.
Hello, just want to thank you for an absolutely honest video. I was looking at several bikes and after listening to you I decided to purchase the Prince 🙂
Thanks for your time watching!!! Prince was discontinued by Pinarello a few weeks ago but still should be able to find some new or used.

Thanks for the love, Shannon! Enjoy that bike of yours, she's a beaut!
Thanks for your candid analysis and valuable information. Where can I buy 2021 PINARELLO PRINCE ULTEGRA DI2 DISC ROAD BIKE in the US?
Since the model has been discontinued, your only option may be ones that are second-hand.
Love the Prince😃😃😃

@@DiabeticCycling great way to approach the dilemma, really appreciate your insights!
Thank. I’m trying to decide between the Prince and the Prince FX. Do you think the FX is worth the extra money?

This is good podcast material as well, thanks for the insight
Just me rambling on, thank you so much for chiming in and words of positivity. Much appreciated!
I enjoy your videos. I missed what wheels you’re now using. What brand and why did you choose them? Did you find comparison information? Thank you.
Hi John! That's an episode I'm preparing right now. Should be out within a few weeks.
@@DiabeticCycling I look forward to seeing your video. I’m impressed by what you are doing. Take care.

Thanks Luis! Your sub would help me towards that 100k!!! :) As to $4200, what wheels does this Prince have you are looking at?
@@DiabeticCycling of course, keep up the good work. The prince has the stock wheels, I believe are the fulcrums? dont remember right know
