    I have mixed gel medium with Brushos amd have them in little pots, however, I want those tubes! I will take your suggestion and Google empty tubes. Very clever and fun way to play with the gelli plate! I have enjoyed all your videos on ways to play with our plates.

    Thank you, Birgit! I tried it with regular acrylics and had a nice result, too! Less transparency, but still nice. Thank you, too, for showing what you can do with the prints! That's very helpful ;)

    I want to try this for sure. I love metal tubes (reminds me of those upscale European toiletries from days gone by) but will probably try with those "clear-ish" silicone travel tubes (I've seen them at Target). I love the transparency of the colours you created and when you had the shapes going off the edges of the paper! Thanks for sharing, Birgit! :-)

    Supplies: Liquitex Matte Gel, Brusho powdered pigments (wonder how other brands of pigment would work?), fillable aluminum tubes (I saw some on Amazon and Blicks - not great prices though). May try silicone travel tubes or needleless syringes. Admittedly, I love the idea of mixing my own paints and glazes.

    One of my fav Gelli Print videos so far! I love printmaking and Watercolour and the finished look reminded me of the transparency of watercolour. Wondering if you could use pigment (powdered) instead of Brusho? Also, are Brushos lightfast? Love the tubes by the way!

    I so much enjoyed this video! I wonder if Pearlex powders would work in the same way? Maybe i will have a little experiment and try. Not sure id mess about with the tubes though, a bit messy but still, a good idea. Id maybe use a syringe, thats a thought! Keep these great videos coming Birgit, you are an asset to Geli Arts! • @birgitkoopsen

      Brushos (brand and product name) are watercolour powders (pigments). Color Burst (Ken Oliver) or Magicals (Lindy's Stamp Gang) are similar.

    Help! I don’t have any Matte gel medium. I have modeling paste, transfer gel from deco foil and distressed collage medium matte. Will any of those work and make the image a little more see-through like the gel does?

    HOw is this paint different from regular paint? Perhaps I missed that part.

    • @birgitkoopsen
      @birgitkoopsen 7 років тому +1

      It is very translucent. When you print with regular paint, especially darker colors, you will not see as much of the under laying layers unless you use only the translucent colors and keep away from the semi transparent and the opaque colors.

    Interesting but filling the tube thing has "big mess" and wasted product written all over it...at least in my budget-minded hands.Plus, I'd never use up what's in the tubes. I would mix much smaller portions on a palette & transfer to plate.

    • @KaileyB616
      @KaileyB616 6 років тому

      Joanna Recine glaze paint just means it’s a transparent color. The brusho powder and matte medium makes a transparent paint

    Hmm....just mixed my paints up using the EXACT measurements - some colours have gone very grainy after a few minutes? I used Liquitex matt medium like in the video but some colours mixed and others don't so be careful! I looked up BRUSHO THICKENER and that is for monoprinting and mixing up with Brusho. It's been a real waste of expensive ingredients. Does anyone have any ideas as to why ? I mixed them up in the right order too. It's a really strange texture.
