This is the best technique to get a clear solid image on your Gelli art - I tried the other techniques but the image transfer was very light and not as defined. The other advantage of this technique is you can scan the image ( a magazine page ) onto you computers hard drive , print out the image and use this printout for your Gelli painting and if things don't turn out , you can always print another and the original can remain in the magazine untouched. You can use images where the original must be preserved untouched. The other way I've seen used for Gelli paintings the magazine page can be used only once and the page is destroyed by the process. Also the computer printouts can be in color or black and white - the choice is yours. Also images can be any image you can find on the internet and not limited to your own family albums - there is no limit to the creativity you can express. Thanks for sharing Birgit ...
Genius! I would never have thought of putting an image transfer on a Gelli print. That is something else to go on my list for my next session with my Gelli plate xx
Birgit, you are really awesome and amazing....you teach me so much about Gelli Printing and it’s so fantastic to watch you work. Thank you so much xxx Mags
