Hi I have a question about your DS708 scanner, I have the same one but my SD card recently died and Autell no longer supports the scanner so I cannot get the files to put onto a new sd card. Have you come across a backup of the card data? I'm hoping to find a backup a can put on a new card so I can use the scanner again. Thanks.
Looks like your best method is to contact Autel support. If your Autel is still within its 1 year of purchase, then I'm sure they're send you a file that's unlocked for your scanner and updates will then be free. If someone shares the files and your the original owner meaning the serial# is registered to your autel account then as long as you connect the SD card to your PC suite after someone has given you a copy the PC suite will update the files to use your correct registered S/N# and it'll return functionality to your DS708.

This DS708 is updatable nearly all the time. There's always one manufacturer of car, or another with an update going on. I bought this in about 2014. I had 1 year's update available, of which I have kept 2 SD cards worth of data ( one card was the original 2GB, so only the most popular cars on that one). You need 32GB cards to get all car manufacturers on one card. I recommend getting 6 cards and updating them about every 2 months. Just copy the whole software over on a computer from the original card and it'll work. There's a newer Autel at a higher price, but I haven't tried them. The advert links I see even on my video here says they're only about £699 now, but I bought mine from an Autel salesman for about £1000 at a car motor factor to make sure it was all legit. Good luck.
P.S I made my own Ford key from a blank key from scratch using this device. That includes the filing of the grooves, getting a special code from a website, inputting the code into the Autel and getting the car to recognising a genuine new second key (not cloned key, as you would get in key duplicate shops). The key coding ability is dependent on manufacturer of car, not machine. Ford is codable for the Mondeo. That's a definite from the version of Ford's I've got from 2 years' ago.

I have read that if I put the files from another device on my SD card and hook it up to my PC suite it'll update my S/N in the files to allow the functionality. I would appreciate the help, I've searched high and low for someone to share the files and haven't come up with anyone who still has them....

Yes I make logical guesses based on the information I know unless I have prior knowledge. I think it is a strength to be able to do that. So I am teaching others to also learn to do that, to be able to be self-independent in thinking and have problem solving solutions. You should try to strive for that goal too.
