"And i dont have a motherfucking gun in my damn helicopter you retarded piece of shit." Ya I know that's not what he said but that's what i imagined Bill was thinking. Bill doesnt get Theo's sense of humor AT ALL.
Love Bill Burr but it’s pretty obvious throughout this podcast that he’s just not familiar or comfortable with the level of emotional honesty Theo Von brings to the table.
I agree. And vice versa. They just have different flavors of honesty. Burr is more brutally honesty and Theo more in touch with and honest with his feelings (which has never been something Burr is into and tends to get annoyed by)
Emotional honesty? The fuck you talking about? It's just oil and sewer water; don't mix. I've seen Bill be kind to emotionally vulnerable people (see H3 Podcast). They'll just never hangout. Bill will probably never do his podcast again. I've heard Bill say he only wants (and needs) to do Rogan; and he's right.
I love how Bill inquired about Theo’s acquaintance with the school bus, asked a few redundant questions and as Theo is replying - He decides that’s enough and cuts him off to promote his special. I’ve never even seen a conversation operate like that.
I think Bill could probably sense Theo wasn’t really trying to lead into anything they could both relate to so he tried to circle the conversation back to something they could both bounce off of.
Dude I love bill, he’s one of my favorite comedians but I gotta say he acted like an absolute arrogant douch bag, and props to Theo for being so passive and nice
I think it's because Theo is incapable of having a serious conversation and it annoyed the fuck out of Bill. Probably thought he was going to have easy going conversation and not have to make up bullshit for an hour. Bill's awesome when he's on Rogan.
Moral of the story here is don’t meet your heroes... i couldn’t imagine anyone more mellow or easier to get along with than Theo but Bill was abrasive and a bit rude from the get go
and the worst part is there’s only 12 years difference between them. I can’t imagine how Burr would handle speaking to someone under the age of 35, I don’t think he would even entertain it.
Ol' Bill the Bully Burr. His empathy tank is on ZERO. Thank you for being different than everyone in the Business, Theo. Stay grounded my friend. #praiseGod #GangGang
Well Theo is greater then bill of course it's awkward because he's younger this scenario rarely works out in any job sports, comedy, acting, modeling absolutely nothing, singing the list never ends
Dangerz Own Bill is technically the best. But Theo ; when allowed to shine , is the most unique and original. Bill says shit we all think. Theo articulates things in a way that we didn’t know we were thinking, but in a way that seems more viscerally true and odd.
If Bill and Theo do another podcast together I think it will go a lot smoother because they'll both know not to try and relate to each other. They have literally nothing in common besides being in the same industry.
I agree, this was truly the underlying problem of the interview in the first place. Theo at least was a gentleman, and put in some effort and respect. bill was just a condescending dick. Bill is projecting so hard when he said no one would be at Theo's funeral.
I don't want to be that guy, but Burr has also mellowed out a ton after doing shrooms. The amount he has changed in just two years is astounding, and I think he'd be a much better guest for Theo, especially after seeing him on all these other podcasts post 2020. How he was on Tyson's podcast comes to mind. It's like a night and day difference compared to this.
My two favorite comics finally on the same podcast. Today just got a hell of a lot better. Edit: never mind, spoke too soon. Christ bill is just sandbagging the whole podcast.
I think Bill was taught vulnerability is weakness that must be repressed and eradicated by his father. Theo is humble, honest and vulnerable. I think his vulnerability stirs up something in Bill that he is still wrestling with. They are both brilliant comics.
Ironically, when you're not ever letting your guard down to just chill and vibe with someone in this setting, it just shows a hidden, deeper insecurity. It's like Bill always has to make sure he's top dog in every situation, setting and even conversation topic.
Lol it apparently had something to do with Bill’s wife and the mural in the background that depicts them (Bill and, for some reason, her) on it and she got mad over how she looked…. There’s no deep psychology going on here
Oh sweet irony... Theo: I sometimes struggle to work with people (gives off warmest friendly body language) Bill: You really should get over your social issues (emits prickly vibes of a bitter hermit crab)
SandBlaster3000 maybe Theo would have gotten over that by now if he had someone who supported him, but told him what he needed to hear instead of coddling him. I mean, did Bill not give him the best advice there is? get over that shit, go work with other people. it will help your career, you will meet a lot of people and you MIGHT actually like it. what should Bill have said lmao I’m pretty sure 99% of the population struggles sometimes when working with other people. were you hoping for Bill to tell him to stick up on MREs, lock himself in the office and stop dealing with people
Bill said it was a social issue, when its professional issue. Bill just loves to make personnel attack, because he knows it gets to people and puts him in a dominant position.
@devildog1982z or both you are wrong and Bill is a ball buster!!! He grew up with ASSHOLES that's the kind of comedy he does... he assumed another comic can take it too....
Burr says he's not an addict. Then proceeds to describe what it's like to be an addict and how the addict mind works. While denying he is one. Most addict like behavior I've seen 😂
I’m surprised no one else touched on this 🤣 that whole bit reeeeked. It was so pathetic…. He really thinks he’s above that dude 🤣 guh One of the few bill burr jokes I’ve heard was about his stint (?) getting plastered at night and then realizing he had a problem (?) something about sneaking past his wife in bed with clinking glasses. Yo I'm with you on that one especially after the part at the 21 min mark. Like Bill didn't hold back and really showed how much of an ass hole he is. And that ain't boston, that's Los Angeles and Hollywood taking over ol Billy
Red Huskies he’s wrong about what? Nowhere in his comment did he say anything that would make your response make sense. All he said is that Bill doesn’t NEED to promote anymore, which is true. Bill is famous enough now that Netflix will push his special to the front, and everyone will watch it.

Theos last second question “Did you ever donate sperm when you were coming up as a comedian?” Bill: “no and I don’t have a gun in my helicopter but I gotta go, my daughter is waking up from her nap and I’m on duty” just about sums up the interview. Love Bill Burr but it’s pretty obvious throughout this podcast that he’s just not familiar or comfortable with the level of emotional honesty Theo Von brings to the table.
@Aslan you put into words what I didn't even know I was thinking...
Bill is a responsible adult male. Theo is the rat king. Two different lives

@@darrenbrown7037 Sincere interview? They're comedians. They are supposed to joke around and bust eachothers balls. Did you even watch the whole thing? It's really not as bad as people make out, but Theo does sure say a lot of dumb shit.
@@stephenhughes5156 bill burr doesnt deserve a pedestal lmao...
The fuck are you talking about
This is really awkward. Burr doesn't seem to get Theo.
Yea kinda disheartening to see two of my favorites clash but it makes sense. Both are use to riffing to their own tune so its not very harmonious.
Jacob T I was a little worried after what happened with H3
Thank god he doesn’t
Burr is awkward and boring on most podcasts
Thought the same it is just ruff flow of information.
Love you Theo, I think Bill woke up on the wrong side of his menstrual cycle on this day
lmao this comment was funny 😆bill burr do seems to be a little to aggressive at times but its dats his personality he good tho
Ole Billy Redpanties.
Happens to liberal men.
Yeah he turned way more lefty since getting married for sure.
I watched the video expecting there to be some bad blood, and I see nothing? Does Burr feel insensitive to southerners?
This was so sad to watch after just watching Bill on Steve-O's podcast. Bill was so respectful of Steve and it is so sad to see him being so rude and callous towards Theo. I was excited to watch this old episode... and I think Bill has chilled out since this cause he talks about how's he's been working on being more peaceful and such. Love you Theo. We all see you for the good soul you are.
Bill: "He landed on, you know those concrete barriers?"
Theo: " Yeah, an embankment"
😆Glad someone else caught that too ..
R.I.P Billy Conforto
I'm mad at myself for not catching that one.
Is that supposed to be a joke?
Ryan R .. No not really. it’s just a repetitive
Statement from Theo which has gained a cult like following
@@ryanr4361 you are unworthy of the living legend Bill Burr.
He is my favorite stand up comedian by far. Still, Theo's podcast has made me cry out laughing more than any stand up special from ANY comedian.
A dick like you shouldn't even be allowed to know that Theo Von exist on this Earth let alone know his inside jokes.
Now go get back to watching Chelsea Handler ya little muppet.
Hands down biggest takeaway is realizing Theo is 41 years old.
Nah that Theo was about to say he was born in 1990 first 🤣 😂
With zero pop culture knowledge appa.
And that he's been doing comedy for over 20 years(at least I'm pretty sure). The man's got a shrimp boil for blood and simply does not age.
I just turned 30 and me and my girlfriend where guessing his age a few days ago.. I thought he was 28 and my girl said 31 and when I heard he was 10byears older then me I almost shit myself haha.. I guess I just age bad
I thought theo was early 30s for sure he just acts like a mid 20s stoner kid
This bill guy switches from funny / relaxed to a grouch over theos slightest slip up or questioning makes the podcast feel awkward at times
Exactly. He is like that friend that always makes witty remarks and when you do it he becomes logical and exposes the fallacies in your jokes, which arent supposed to be serious
He’s not feeling really feeling it. Bill’s like this in interviews with people who don’t know his work or aren’t prepared for the interview/ podcast. Seems like he’s projecting shit onto Theo- like that he’s a millennial (which he isn’t), try-hard, idk what else. Usually Bill isn’t grouchy like this
@@hhectorlector nah he just is like that, likes to fuck around and point out things, thought that was the funniest parts in this podcast.
lol, Bill is always grouchy like this. I love Bill Burrs comedy, but I always say I wouldn’t want to be married to him. He’s an asshole.
“This Bill guy” LOL!!!
Theo really shook bill by being authentic. Bill always feels like he needs to be in character and wishes he could be vulnerable like Theo. He's like "get back down to my level theo"
I don't think Bill was having trouble because he was staying in character and Theo wasn't. I think this is just how Bill is, doesn't matter who's interviewing him he's always on edge and ready to be annoyed. It's just one of those times where two great people have incompatible personalities and it just doesn't mesh
What makes you think Bill isn't being authentic too?
No that's just how people from Massachusetts are
On the whole it really wasn't bad. Most of the conversation was pretty regular.
What lol Theo asks "do you have a gun in your helicopter" a completely disengenious question and burr calls him out
The phrase “Never meet your heros” is cliche for a reason
If I ever met Bill Burr and he DIDN'T shit on me in the first 2 minutes, I'd be extremely disappointed so the cliche doesn't make sense here imo.
@@user-tu2dr3ny6x if you met him and were disappointed then it applies since you met the hero and it didnt turn out the way imagined
stirange fuck you
Jordan Withers yep
Yea well... Theo is not that funny. Bill is old school, he hates hacks. Patrice would have said that Bill did good.
not feeling Burr's vibe on here, felt bad for Theo
Yeah he was kind of a dick
Totally agreed. I have considered myself a huge Bill Burr fan for years but he definitely lost big points from me today. Very disappointing. I’m only 11 minutes into the show and had to turn it off.
@@barbfam2003 same here, took Theo out of his element as well by being like this.
@@barbfam2003 bills just been doing shows and press for days now. I'm sure he's sick of always having to make jokes and perform. Don't forget that bill is in his 70's now
Terry Barber same, five minutes in Theo's telling a story about old cars and stuff and bill cuts him off with "is there any chance I'm gonna get to promote my new special? I don't know where you're going with this." And just sounds like a bitter old man that's full of himself
Bill: that's a part of nature
Theo: yeah nature is a thing
😂 Laughed for way too long at this...
Theo an intellect
Dude, this was the most brilliant stealth jab I've ever seen. It went completely undetected like a torpedo.

boldbileg lmao Theo said “Wolfgang” was a beautiful name and I almost died laughing. wolf + gang haha
This comment section proves one thing
Theo has some Protective fans that love him
13:42 Theo's face after that is priceless
"HAHAHAHAHA"
*crickets*
"Sorry"

I think they cut and pasted two clips together
I wonder what happened cause they cut after he said that funeral joke. Would love to see the conversation they had before cutting to Theo’s deadly stare lol
@@Khaze215 I think I saw it before they edited it out of the video, it was Theo not really liking the joke while Bill went on a rant or something like that.
Bill tryin way too hard to be a dick
Bill being a hard ass. Theo being hisself.
Still even with the awkwardness, love this podcast.
Bill is a hardass sooo.. he’s being himself too

Two completely different comedy styles, they need a non-comedian moderator, like Schaub to break the tension.
#slam #denny's?
I prefer UA-cam videos that are likely to provide me with a ruthless Big Brown Burn in the comments. Thank you.
That was ice COOOOOOOLD
Schaub would end outing somebody as a cheater, again.
Nice burn!
Theo showed a lot of respect for bill by not ripping him to shreds. The respect is deserved, but it’s still cool that Theo stayed cool
Bill would have respected him more if Theo ripped him to shreds. Bill grew up in the Patrice era where comedians mercilessly trashed each other to show respect and keep everyone on their toes. Different eras, different styles.
@@zebediahwilliams1697 u have a good point...💯 ur correct that bill would’ve respected Theo more for that.. I was just pointing out that it shows how much Theo respects bill for not doing so.

I love Bill Burr’s comedy but it gets old after a while. I’d much rather meet Theo in person of the two. He seems like a genuinely nice person.
You literally never know with public figures.
But Theo is not bright but funny
Being mean is beneficial in comedy
Seems as though Theo would view you as an equal. Bills so damned condescending

I'm just gonna turn this off and watch theo's mushroom set instead...
One of the best sets lol
The best part of that set is the fact that Theo is bombing for the majority of it, but then those boomers start hitting and life gets a little better for a bit.
I like how bill burr thought napoleon was 2000 years ago
Bill was tired and in a horrible mood. He should have stayed home, waxing his head or something.
😂
Bill is pretty much like this on every podcast he visits.
When did Theo's fans all turn into such sensitive bitches? Burr busts balls all the time, and it's fucking obvious to anyone who has ever watched these two that they have totally different senses of humor. Did you really think Burr was going to come on and just suddenly have a weird, off the wall sense of humor like Theo?

Good one. Especially since its scientifically salient. Theo has an awareness of language that Bill really does not. Bills strength is his jumping between concepts in language, which probably stems from his action based cognition. They both have this brand of being simpletons, but their genius is so specific that they did not have anything in common at this mood and time.
What’s so cool is watching Theo change and grow as a person!
