Tiger used a Titleist 975D Driver (43.5-inch) with 7.5deg of loft and with a True Temper Dynamic Gold X100 Extra Stiff shaft throughout his year 2000 campaign. According to Larry Bobka, Tiger’s clubmaker whilst at Titleist, Tiger’s ball speed was around 178-180mph with this club on stock swings on the course (upper 120s clubhead speed). On harder swings, Tiger was exceeding 130mph clubhead speed and 190mph ballspeed even with this Driver that is far smaller and with a less hotter clubface than today’s modern day Drivers. Tiger averaged 297.6yd off the tee that year and was 2nd only to John Daly (301.4yd) according to PGA Tour statistics. Tiger is frequently seen on course hitting it anywhere between 285yd and 330yd (carry + roll) depending on conditions. He won 9 times, including 3 Major titles (US Open, The Open, PGA Championship) and a record yearly earnings on the money list ($9.188m) in what is considered by many as one of the greatest years ever by any golfer anywhere

Tiger's swing in 2000 may be the best to ever grace this planet.
No one before or since has swung the golf club better than Tiger Woods in 2000.. before the "expert golf instructors" steepened his swing, leading to injury after injury and ultimately a premature end to his health/career. As a result Jack Nicklaus is the G.O.A.T.
I think Tiger is the greatest Golfer ever. Jack is Golf's greatest champion by volume of majors of course. Ranking it is at the discretion of the individual I feel. Some have Hogan as their GOAT, which is more than acceptable imho
Tiger Woods is my fovourite athlete ❤❤❤
I only counted 17 drives in this video. False advertising man
Nice 😅
🤣hey that’s a good one.
"Oh that idiot" lol
good thing the ball clipped through his foot at 0:29 that would've been super embarrassing
So I'm still confused how this worked out the way it did. Tiger was lanky and long and very thin and yet he's swung with a tremendous amount of speed and overpowered golf courses. He also did it with mediocre equipment compared to today's! So why is everyone so obsessed with Fitness and muscle and all these mechanical things when this swing was definitely one of the best if not the best to ever exist? I can understand if you're already like a muscular person and you want to use everything you can as leverage. But I don't understand why more people on tour today don't swing loose and fluid like this. Very strange how that worked out probably marketing or something
he was juiced...cheater private life AND prof life
Idk if he ever juiced but certainly not in 2000
@@refreey I really don’t think there’s any real evidence anywhere that he juiced but he did get jacked big time in like I want to say maybe 2005 or sometime around there, so maybe he did. I don’t know. But either way, I’d bet my life that he was clean in 2000.
