Knee lift height should be maximum when the Knee is furthest away from the torso/hips, then the thigh must be accelerated downwards towards the ground. Some peculiar instances of initial incorrect timing either in stadium or TV display clock. Sometimes the clock system will show an erroneous result due to various factors. Jamaican commentators coined this initial clock display the ‘‘flash time’’ before going on to comment that we await official results before acceptance. I think looking back, brommel can be satisfied with his career when he finally hangs it up. Top 10 all-time 100m performer and quite a few World medals to go along with it. Although his career was riddled with injuries and I’m sure there’s a lot of “what is “that go on in his head, I still a grade him as having a fine career even if he were hanging up right now at this very moment moment. All in all I agree with everything in your comment.

    So I'm still confused how this worked out the way it did. Tiger was lanky and long and very thin and yet he's swung with a tremendous amount of speed and overpowered golf courses. He also did it with mediocre equipment compared to today's! So why is everyone so obsessed with Fitness and muscle and all these mechanical things when this swing was definitely one of the best if not the best to ever exist? I can understand if you're already like a muscular person and you want to use everything you can as leverage. But I don't understand why more people on tour today don't swing loose and fluid like this. Very strange how that worked out probably marketing or something

    No one before or since has swung the golf club better than Tiger Woods in 2000.. before the "expert golf instructors" steepened his swing, leading to injury after injury and ultimately a premature end to his health/career. As a result Jack Nicklaus is the G.O.A.T.

    • @nsxperformance
      @nsxperformance 8 місяців тому

      I think Tiger is the greatest Golfer ever. Jack is Golf's greatest champion by volume of majors of course. Ranking it is at the discretion of the individual I feel. Some have Hogan as their GOAT, which is more than acceptable imho

  • @Ben05866

    Do whatever works for YOU. We all have vastly different structures hence there is no ideal knee lift, stride length or frequency. You have stockier sprinters like Su, Padgett and holiday who rely on frequency and visually have a lower knee lift to produce force. Whereas bolt, lyles or Bailey have lower frequencies and higher knee lift to produce force. Don’t alter your mechanics because you see your favourite sprinter doing it, do what suits you specifically

      Yes.. I’ve seen sprinters training with high knee lift but makes them more slower …. They made the perfect high knee lift but they lost the stride length and frequency .. Actually we must have good force to produce bounce power to drive our leg further then the technique of high lift will help. Without power in leg like spring to create force , it is a waste doing high knee

    • @ronnieyoung2075
      @ronnieyoung2075 2 місяці тому

      Notice the difference in achievements tho between the first group you named and the second group? Other runners on the women side that we’ve seen with and exaggerated knee lift is shacarri , Carmelita, Elaine and flo Jo and their number speak for themselves. Shacarri is even five or take the same height as Shelly Ann but when she adopted flo Jo’s technique of knee lift and relaxation we saw the results. Even ta Lou who recently started this technique and hasn’t been tight and grimacing towards the end has started running 10.7. I think there’s more to it than what suits you bc many athletes run with crazy mechanics they belive suit them that are actually counter productive

      You're comparing 3 different generations of sprinters and wished they'd raced each other. What kind of fantasy world are you in? Mennea (previous 200m record holder for 20 years) pushed Johnson to 19.32 then Johnson pushed Bolt to 19.19 and now Bolt is pushing Lyles to go faster. Each generation learned and was inspired by the previous one. They were never meant to race each other (that's not how life and progression works).
