Today we have another fun extreme budget food shopping challenge seeing what weekly vegan food haul we can get from one of the UK's cheapest food stores and supermarkets - Farm Foods, with a budget of ONLY £30. For sure we will get some great deals and cheap items at Farmfoods!
This is the first time we have done this challenge. This video is good for anyone looking for money saving tips, shopping on a budget, anyone conscious of the cost of living or their financial situation, or anyone just trying to save money, as it will help with making money! I have challenge for yous morrisons it's one most expensive supermarkets going. We shop there minium spread there 40 to 50 could do a £30 shop there?

Farmfoods does some great deals and some new and interesting things what you wouldn’t always see in a “everyday” supermarkets. it's been proven there's nothing wrong with msg, just like there's nothing wrong with sugar (in reasonable amounts) it is simply a flavour enhancer that is naturally occuring in many many foods. If you look into this msg not being safe is rooted in racism and stems from where one man claimed he had stomach ache due to asian food and the msg in it.
As somebody who lives in Asia please research offensive assumptions❤

We shop at Farmfoods but only for selected items as they do sell a lot of Name brands. Toilet paper is cheap. Cheese is good, butter also.They do not all have the same items. Remember you get money off at the till using their vouchers too, we download them onto our phones. 👍
Hi Katie. Just realized you bought green beans and wanted to give you a great recipe: steam the beans in fry pan with chopped onion, when done, drain water and sauté with a touch of oil to crisp slightly, add garlic for a bit, then finish with stirred in bottled chili sauce and mix….delish. I do a mix of corn, peppers, and zucchini and onions the same way. Happy cooking….

After you did your last Farmfoods video, I went to my local one in Castleford. There was no vegan stuff, just a Linda McCartney veggie sausage. There weren't even any cans of pulses/beans apart from baked beans, or any plant milks. It is very much a carnivore store. I think they must stock their shops according to the are as mine was totally different to the one you visited.
Probably just stock according to most purchased items. We have 2, small one in town centre and one on outskirts with other discount shops. The bigger one has more variety but still a lot of ready made processed stuff.

Morning Family Freedom from Canada. Very hot here on the west coast. Did you know that if you want to check if a pineapple is ripe you can try to pull out one of the prickles on the top. If it pulls out easily it is ripe. If hard to pull out, leave a bit longer to ripen. Tip of the Day! ❤😮

I can never get over the variety of food choices you have in England. It's getting harder and harder here in Perth to find what I want in the shops. I love Linda McCartney foods and they seem to be disappearing from our supermarkets. Your shopping would have come to double that here. The government has started looking into supermarkets overcharging for everything.

My husband is a Brit and I had to learn to make mashed Swede (rutabaga) and carrots. It’s delicious.
Love the green beans and, in fact, made some for dinner tonight. But I swapped them out for a salad with fresh greens that were out of date today, lol. The beauty is, though, that I can now just reheat them for tomorrow's dinner and it's one less thing I have to do then, lol. But yeah, love the green beans. Have a great week, guys!

Hi guys, i have been watching quite a few ‘frugal living’ videos trying to get ideas for saving money. I was thinking this is something you guys could do some more videos on in connection with the budget shopping videos. I know you have covered things like this in the past. Things like how to meal plan and shop on a limited budget, ideas for meals, days out on a budget etc.
Never heard of swede. Had to look that one up. We have turnips and rutabagas which I don't think I've ever had either. I don't like spicy veggies like cauliflower. Great haul once again!

Farmfoods is amazing and I have an empty freezer. Should really take a trip there haha! Would love some ice lolly's as my wisdom teeth are currently coming in 🤕
I see you went on Monday 1st July. As all those numbers on the price tickets and the freezer lids were from the stocktake the night before.
I do love Farmfoods.. I bought a Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palette in there for £1.99 - which is Vegan and cruelty free. It was so random to see it!

Family Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FreeGang! Yay!!! Commenting to you #LIVEbutNOTLIVE from South Carolina, USA (East Coast). That was a lot of groceries! Can I request a NO-budget grocery haul from the cheapest grocery store/outlet where each of you get to walk the store ONE time and grab whatever you want the most from each side of the aisle and at the end see who spent the most/least on their guilty pleasures. The hitch is that it is a forward progressive shop... once you pass the item on the side you are choosing from at the time you can not go back for that item... plus once you choose an item from whichever side you are looking at at the time and then further down the aisle you something you want more, you can NOT exchange ... once you have picked from that side you must move onto the next side and then the next aisle and so on and so forth. I hope that I made sense. LOL, did in my brain just don't know if it translated to paper. #JKR

Need to pop into Farmfoods 😮 Loads of good deals! Never shopped there before but seems like they have decent plant based options. Currently shop in Sainsbury’s and the prices are… a tad expensive 😅 Definitely check out my local farmfoods now 👍
Farm foods is cheap but the one near us is filled with no food foods.. if you know what I mean. Not great for vegan food too. That’s the one in my little town to be fair.

This is why we shop at Farmfoods. Just stay away from those name brands. I made my own frozen veggie when the main stores were doing the offer on veg, everything was 30p in bags. So I made my own stew packs and separate veggies too.

Another awesome shopping challenge video Katie & Bob. MSG is a flavour enhancer and it basically increases your appetite which means you will eat more of the product so best being avoided. why is it in England you have so many multibuys where's in Australia frozen fruits are $8 each and that's for 500g if you want pre made vegan food your looking at anywhere between $7-14 for things like vegie sausages or vegan sausage rolls pies etc...

The multi-buys are more common in stores like Farm Foods and Iceland, and in some cases are better value but not always 😊
You didn't mention if, but did you use one of their vouchers- £2.50 off if you spend £25. If you didn’t, you could have gotten even more bargains 🙂

frozen mushrooms are good in stews pasta but not on a breakfast have so much water you mdidnt get bread you couldof put some of the beans back and bread for breakfast the granola wont do a week for 3 of you xxxxx

Farmfood very beneficial for food not so much treats
What's the prices for farm foods likes of burgers bacon eggs chickens susages fish chips joints of various meats and similar items fizzy drinks crisps biscuits hot chocolate coffees tea bags ect please and where's nearest farm goods to camden London area as having one closer would be a great help as my partner is unfortunately terminally ill and on benefits we don't have massive amounts of money and London taxis ain't cheap fact .

Interesting to see farm foods, i have one near me, but never used it.
Im finding this video strange, you guys are just randomly buying stuff. I keep my cupboards like a shop, i keep everything i need to make everything i can or want to, i then replace stuff as i use it. As a result i spend between £10 and £20 a week, typically averaging about £15 ish.
My daughter came over for dinner and i was able to offer her a choice of 22 meals i could cook from my food stocks.
What do you do with all the food you buy?
Nearly all of it will get eaten, but if we feel it won't or perhaps we have too much of one particular product, we'll give to a food bank
