I love that your boys are allowed to be boys and can participate in sports and have chores. You don’t see much of that anymore. I love that they get out and enjoy the outdoors
I love that Mark has no issue with giving the older boys credit. How awesome. Now that is a great dad. Recognize that you both are great parents. The fact you are teaching them everyday, goes way beyond what some parents do. By the time my son was 15 he had a part time job, school with straight A’s and building animal cages. He had his own animals that he cared for, plus doing his own laundry. He got up on his own. He wanted to be treated as the adult he thought he was. Yes a grown man, sometimes working 3 jobs. He does what he needs to do to take care of his home and wife. One of the jobs is to help with a friend and his business. He is one of the Aquarist at a zoo here in Minnesota.
This video brought me lots of smiles at the end of a hard day working with families who are really struggling. You always lift my spirits and fill me with a sense of hope and purpose (ok crying now). Your children are such a joy. You have maintained your beautiful commitment to them throughout such a hard year. Thank you for including us in your life!
The blackstone grills are incredible. They are fast and the food is wonderful. Your family is so active together. Chores, shopping, cooking, sports. Whatever is on the agenda. It’s wonderful to see. YES!!! 68 IS PERFECT for summer temps. I'm looking at record temps here in southern Idaho 103 to 108. Miss my summers in Alaska sooo much. My husband used to fly over the inlet with a friend, catch a salmon or two then we'd have the BBQ ready for fresh caught fish for dinner. What a wonderful life❤❤ You folks are livin the dream

Man, these boys live extremely privileged blessed lives. How fun living where people spend a fortune to vacation at. (Including me)😄 my husband and I will be in Alaska in a few weeks! So excited. Lauren’s videos helped me a great deal when planning our trip, will be visiting many areas that she has shown.
Little tip on the blackstone. The corners and some edges don’t ever get hot enough to “season”so a couple runs in take a blow torch to the spots that are still light and not getting enough heat. That way the entire surface will be “seasoned” !!
Lauren, I am listening to you saying that the kids think 68° is hot and my first thought is they need to avoid Oklahoma and most of the southern US since we have been hitting the mid to upper 90's and into the 100's a few days while feeling a good 10° more each day. We are grateful for the next few days of mid and upper 80's. Just thought this was a good laugh about how growing up in different places makes the different temperatures feel.
