When I worked in a supermarket the amount of vegan chocolate that went to landfill was unbelievable. It just doesn’t sell so I can see why there was so much there. That coconut milk and sunflower seeds were an absolute bargain!

@@FamilyFreedom honestly it opened my eyes when I worked there just how ridiculous food waste is! There’s people going hungry and the earth already polluted enough and they were sending so much to landfill every single day. I ended up setting it up so a charity could come take any fresh produce that wasn’t perfect to sell sort of thing to save it going to waste x it’s disgraceful how much food is wasted x wish there was a rogers near me lol it looked amazing x

M6 J10 and a 5 minute drive to Bilston . There is also a shop called the Company Shop (15 minutes up the road) who sell overstock from the big stores. Free membership if you qualify ( services NHS logistics etc). You can refer 1 person (family,friend etc). Fresh fruit and veg, fresh meat, frozen, sometimes clothes from M&S, Alcohol, (8 cans for a fiver) Crisps, Soft drinks (coke etc) . Worth a visit, Save a lot of money. Most of the stores are from the Midlands and Up North. Happy shopping. Great Haul btw. x

I'm quite lucky as i live just 5 minutes away from that warehouse and kudos to you guys too for mentioning the dates could be past their sell by dates not the use by.

Great haul! Wish there was one of these stores near me! Heads up on the squishy Skittles mentioned though, they contain gelatine so aren't vegan-friendly!

Enjoyed seeing what you got, but would really like to have seen other stuff that you skimmed past. I'd love to go to one of these places, but as they're so far away, I would like to see what sort of stuff is actually in there, before making the trip. The website isn't helpful, so having you on the ground was great. Although I appreciate stock would vary each visit. Great haul tho.

When you get dream back you should empty it out as much as possible and then go to rogers and do a challenge to see how much food you can cram into dream to restock your house pantry and the vantry and as gifts for people for birthdays and Christmas ect and also donate some food to food bank and or the refuge accommodation that helped Katie before.. and if checks could resell at festivals on your stoll next to the clothing merch

That’s Christmas sorted for all the family with all the chocolate. Also make your own advent calendar with all the snacks and chocolate. You could spilt up the product like a chocolate bar into several bags. Maybe u could take Jamie on the journey back to collect Dream.

We have something similar in Blackpool not as big but does have a high turnover so it’s different all the time. They even have one as meat man he does like family packs- enough for 2/3 weeks for like £30. I don’t eat meat but it’s a life saver at the moment for families to have healthier food.

I kive near a Rogers. This stuff is cheap because it would otherwise go inro landfil. Icseldom use it now as. I was buying like 12 jars of iffy pesto. Really processed food.

Very good question! This Rogers is quite far from London but we do have others that are closer :) I would say it is cost effective as our car is really economic, also we try to do other things in the same trip like visiting friends 🤗
I agree with you Katie even tho in Australia we don't have Rogers , we do have alidi, Coles, Costco, saccas, and Woolworths stores across Australia in different suburbs and in different states or territories. But it can be really expensive due to the cost of living for food supplies shortage including milk for $4.50 , even for medicines exct . These days we have to bring our own shopping bags because some people decide to pay for bags like $2 . In Australia, we use Australian dollars than pounds . Even it's hard to find parking everywhere and every shopping centre . It would be great if we did have a Rogers in Australia. Because some of the stuff that I buy has a used by date and they expire so I check the fridge, pantry and the cupboards where my fish tank is also the garage to see if I have any soft drink left to restock it up after I have done the groceries. I would love to try some foods that are vegan . And yes I have been to London many years ago when I was 5 years old with my mum and dad and my older brother and I did get lost once even I looked mad in that photo that my parents took of me . We normally go groceries every second week . And I normally hang out with my dad's mates most of the time and spend time with my mum, but 🏧 I can't, and yesterday I did a whole load of washing and fed my cat and my dog and had to get stuff organised because I was staying with my auntie at my grandparents house since my grandparents had passed away. And I got back home yesterday afternoon after dad cane to pick me up it was raining really heavily and I got soaking wet, so did my pjs in Australia, and in the country, it was flooded . Today, I'm just chilling, and it's cold here in Australia . Monday evening was way too hot it was 28 degrees and I had karate and I wasn't looking good because I started to go down hill because my face looked a bit pale and I was standing for too long and I was already sweaty and this was in the first 5 minutes during karate session while sparring against my opponent and I knew that I was going to pass out that was the third time it happened to me since 2015 & 2019 because I had my reminder on my watch and phone to go off and that's when the teacher came to talk to me because my health is very important because I had to go take my meds to make me feel better and continued till karate had finished packed my bag and had to find my watch and had to get my dinner on the way home from karate and I got home and put my bag near the wall and went upstairs to my bedroom and gotten ready for bed and I had to rest my head because there was tension going on to make it comfortable to stop the tension and I felt so much better afterwards.

@FamilyFreedom yes even for my karate classes got really expensive, like $100 for monthly as I have been going every week on Monday & Saturday, and transferibg money into their bank account there's a free trial never to old or young to start up . Even funerals just like my grandma had 5 months ago ect . My mum is doing better now after doing rehab 3 days ago when I spoken you her on my watch or phone .

Just a word of caution, if you should ever find yourself in a dent - n - bent grocery or discount grocery in the US, always check the expiration dates on the food items. It is likely that most of the stuff will be out of date.

We have found that discount stores of this kind tend to have products that are past the best-before date but not the use-by date, and in our experience, they have always been fine 😊
That coke was a limited thing and no one got it and it was all reduced in the shops so that’s why it’s there

I don't know where you are in the us, apparently there is a really good grocery clearance place on the east coast called Sharp shopper. I've heard of other places too - that one just comes to mind 😊
