I needed this video! My dad taught me to dance Cumbia when I was little but he taught me to be a lead and I always tried to watch everyone dance and everyone dances so fast I literally needed it slowed down. Thank you!
Single dad raised and my abuela did that thing where she didn’t teach you-she just would hug you super tight and dance and you were just flailing around 🤣 so I learned lead too

I moved to California with a company temporary assignment, which meant I had to find a place to live for a year. I ended up moving into a home with the warmest Peruvian family, turned out they are some sort of professional salsa teachers. They made me a project, and now I can lead, do advanced moves and dance for the first time in my life. I just can't believe it myself, and my coworkers think I'm nuts, but if I worry about what others think, how can I get to the gold, the riches of life? Thank you, my Peruvian family, it will break my heart when I leave to go back home.
