I have the entire set of Perfect Fitness gear, the Ab wheel, 2 sets of the Original pushup handles, the pull up handles and the pushup handle mobile units. I've had them all for more than 12 years. I travel all of the time and travel with the mobile unit, the pull up handles and the Ab wheel. I've never tried L-Sits with originals. Will try that next time I'm home.
Nice, I also have the ab roller and pull-up bar (testing crossgrips right now though) but Perfect has been a solid company. I didn't know they had pull-up handles so I'll need to look into those.
@@GamerBody Initially, they had a door mounted pullup bar that locked in for vertical pull ups and swiveled down for horizontal pull ups and rows. There was also a dip attachment. I've been looking for those for a while, but haven't seen them in years. Perhaps because they required screwing into the door frame. BTW, the reason I have two sets of the original handles is because I have one with all my gear in Colorado and another in a gym bag (along with an addition set of pull-up handles) in a closet at my daughter's place in another state. That way, when I visit her and her partner I don't have to travel with any exercise equipment. Sort of my version of pre-positioned gear (lol).
Sounds like a solid plan to me. I've never been a fan of the pull-up to dip bars on the doors (I do have the Lebert Fitness Equalizer dip bars) but perfect has had some solid products so maybe it will work well.
Thanks. At Wal-Mart as I write (after listening to your review). They have the original non-'elite' model here (eg. Perfect Pushup Basic). Price is $18.84 +1.24 tx = $20.08 So I'm glad I went to reviews. I'd rather purchase the 'Elite' model for $7-8.00 more. The cons are not an issue for me. So all pros! I'll search for your review on the 'Ab Carver', which I'm looking at here as well.
Great question. They are as I also workout when my wife is sleeping :) my workouts start at 5:30 AM so it has to be very quite as I live in a small apartment. I hope this helps.
I got these. Kind of difficult to use for certain exercises at first but once you get used to em they're awesome. I'd imagine they're easier to use for a shorter dude. I'm pretty strong but i'm tall and have really long arms. Was very awkward at first, lol. Btw, I have 2 plates and 9 screws in my right wrist. These are a lifesaver for me. Regular pushups are almost impossible for me considering my range of motion in that wrist.
Oh that is awesome these are working well for you! Being taller can help you build some more strength with increased tension and weight vs someone shorter than you ;)
Diamond Push-ups Target more of the triceps. These will help more with push-ups which are a chest focus exercise. While both exercises do work the chest, the focus of the exercise is different. I would do push-ups with the bars and diamond push-ups without.
I don't know if you are still replying but I got a question. I did a few pushups last Thursday and I was sore for last four days.Is that's normal to be sore like under the arms and core?Keep in mind i haven't done pushups in years but I want to get in better shape .Just don't want to pull something. I can deal with the soreness
Yes if you have not done them in a long time you will be sore especially on the sides of the chest. Sorry this comment got flagged for some reason so I missed it.
Seems like no one mentioned this. These used to be called the V2 and what you called the original model came after the V2. The actual original model (V1) had a round smooth non-textured handle, not grooved like the "Elite". Both models initially retailed for $40 back in the late 2000's but Walmart had an exclusive budget version of the V1 for $20 called the "Perfect Pushup Basic" made with plastic handles. Seems odd the new budget model had square handles because the Walmart version (which I had) had round smooth handles like the V1.
Do you mean the Iron Gym pull-up bar? That one is very similar to the one I am already using so just stick with that until it no longer works for you. I have not tried that one before, but the pull-up bar I have is basically the same.

For right now I will still be making article and video reviews from other places and how it is good or bad to follow :) thanks again!
Great review. What's the advantage of these with regards to the twisting motion, when you are doing press ups? Does this activate the chest more? Can normal push up handles achieve the same? Many thanks! ;o)
It's really just a comfort thing. I don't feel any additional muscle gain as stated on the packaging. It does help my wrists a bit and another layer of stability as your hands are not fixed. I can do press ups with them just fine. Make sure you are stable as they can still roll, but the base is good. I'd say normal. Handles can do the same but these are great for comfort.
Is it a better choice for someone who has shoulder pain (impingement), it looks like the hand rotation goes internally(which is considered bad on shoulder) but not sure about this equipment mechanism
It allows for natural rotation to occur as long as you have proper strength, but other than that it doesn't force you into anything. You can hole them in any position you'd like and do the pushup.
Here is what I found on Google: "The Perfect Pushup Elite has longer, more ergonomic handles, more ball-bearings for an ultra-smooth rotation, and is capable of weight limits up to 400lbs."
Feels about the same to me. Remember, focus on squeezing and pushing with your chest as much as possible to avoid too much strain on the shoulders. Of course some force will be on them, but the target is the chest.
While I've never used the 9 in 1 push-up board, but I have seen it around the internet, I think it is completely worthless. Just do standard push-ups or use regular push-up bars if it is tough on your wrists. If you want to do a push-up variant just place your hands in the proper position.
Ive been doing 150-200 pushups daily. Starting to not get the pumped feeling after. Maybe these will help maybe better form i think my form is fine but not shooting for fine.
@@GamerBody at this point a hobby. Part of my daily routine. And its not a straight number more different types of ups broken out and my goal is to at least one up each set. Hence the total looking impressive to a degree. Good way to start the morning
@@danahettrick2378 Alright, I just did 10 push-ups to failure in today's workout, but at a slow cadence and it is brutal. Ill be adding weight in a backpack from there.
If you have the regular and like them, no need for these. Don't waste money if you don't have too. If you don't like them, then I recommend trying these out as I don't like the originals all that much but I do like the Elite version
I was thinking either to get these or the push up board I'm looking to improve everything from shoulders triceps back abs and chest do you think the push up board is worth the money or should I get these?
I'd get these. The boards are dumb. Id actually rather use nothing, but as ive never used the board I guess I can't bash on it too hard. Pushups with work your triceps, but if you want a bit more activation just put your hands closer together and keep elbows tucked in. For shoulders, you have to press over head so a pike press or wall pushup will do just fine (and work triceps in the process)
@@GamerBody gotcha will do I'll pick some of these up I reckon it'll also help with the wrists, thanks for the input on the push up boards I'll avoid those
Hey, so I’ve been slowly switching from free weight training to calisthenics, cause of the gym situation :/. I’m currently on a budget so i can’t buy the most equipment. But so far, I have bought the livebest power tower for my pulling day, and now this for my push day. But all i’m missing now is something for my lower body/leg day. You recommend any equipment that will go a long way for such? I know about weighted vests but i heard they get expensive, especially if you plan on going heavy.
I would go with dumbbells as that is what I use for all lower body, but they are expensive. Instead, try doing explosive style bodyweight once you master the basics. Could always try a backpack with some weight or weighted vests but I'd first master the lower body exercises, do explosive versions, then add weight
GamerBody Appreciate the quick response! I have been thinking about using a backpack since i sadly only got a pair of 8lb dumbbells. But i’m still worried that the backpack can cause damage to my back or spine. But i was told how that only occurs if the backpack is too heavy. Don’t know if this is 100% true though. So you know a way to negate this. Like is it better to wear it in front of you or the regular way to reduce injury? But yea, i am progressing towards the pistol squat with some explosive exercises here and there.
GamerBody i read this information online. “the reason you want weight in front of you is because of your center of gravity. You're really never going to want any axial loading with weight centered further back than your traps, such as in a back squat. The further forward the weight is relative to your center of gravity, the easier it will be to squat deeper and improve your strength.” And people are also saying that the further the load is down your back, the harder it would be to balance. So i assume the part where it could cause spine damage is when you’re trying to lean too far forward to prevent yourself from falling backwards would put too much weight on the spine. So the argument then is to put the backpack in front of you instead. But i guess it comes down to how heavy your backpack is and whether you could easily balance it or not.
Yeah that sounds like a control issue mostly unless you are adding a crazy amount of weight in the backpack. Also your arms should help to balance you overall. With a barbell I see this making more sense though but you could still hold the backpack in front of you if you feel that would be better. More of a heavy sack squat
It may help a little bit, but it helps your wrists more than your elbows. You may need to do push-ups at a lower level first until you have enough chest and triceps strength. It is most likely a breakdown in your pushup form causing the elbow pain.
The push-up bars don't provide resistance, they just twist to help with the natural movement pattern instead of being locked with palms on the ground. It also helps with wrist pain as your wrist stays in alignment instead of bent :)
@@GamerBody but you have to ask yourself, would it be possible to make them taller without making them any more bulkier than they already are? That was a con you listed as well. They are slightly bulky but well made and sturdy. It's like the weight plates from your other video. You improvise other ways of utilizing them. That's all I was pointing out here. If they aren't sitting tall enough, improvise. Be creative 😁.
Agreed. However I also ask myself, am I going to go out and find books or cinder blocks and set them up so I know I won't get hurt. Answer for me is a no but if you feel it will help go for it :)
Hey, what should i do if these make me feel pain in my palms? It definitely removed wrist pain but when i did my workout without it, i felt no palm pain. But i feel it all the time with this. Maybe i just need to get used to using it, cause i’m pretty sure i’m gripping it correctly
Get some thick weightlifting gloves...and jam some padding inside the palm of the gloves if the padded glove itself is not enough. That should take care of it.
@@GamerBody I just tried your suggestion, gripping the handles with all my strength. It seemed to help. I will wait until my palm no longer hurts when I press on it and then try doing the pushups while gripping the handles very hard. Strangely enough, I found someone else who posted the same problem eight years ago together with a photo of the part of his palm under the small finger of his left hand, exactly where it hurts me.
Algorithm, trends, topic, how much a video is shared, etc. Normally I see traffic hit on a video about 3 months after, and some videos randomly jump a year later. My goal is to just continue improving my videos and see if that can get users interested. Thumbnails and titles also play a pretty big role. Thanks for watching this one!
@@GamerBody I checked the website of Harbinger. They are under the same company. So my guess is they’re same products. Maybe Perfect Push-up is specifically for US market. I am so curious about the Harbinger one though…
What's more important in your opinion, having the ability to rotate of having the depth? I'm trying to go back to basics on my chest. I'm getting stronger but I feel like its all shoulders and arms.
Eh it's small in terms of results. I'd say it is more for comfort than anything. However if you feel it gives a better mind-muscle connection go for it.
I have not personally tested it, but it looks like a huge waste of money to me. For $20 you can just buy push-up bars and place them at the appropriate position. Everything else in that product is a gimmick. I don't plan on paying $120 for it anytime soon. Thanks for the question!
@@GamerBody Original price is much more expensive than that and I saw a soldier use it he got winded that must be convincing considering how much they workout and that contraption winded him
@@hmuphilly9129 getting it's not about getting winded, it is about providing enough mechanic tension to the muscles to produce a response to get stronger. My big concern is the elbow flare when I see people use it. That is setting up for disaster with the elbows and shoulders later on.
@@GamerBody As long as you only use the optimal resistance you can handle and exercise with caution I think you should be fine but I respect your opinion.
@@GamerBody yea that is too low. The foam padding on my 7" high push up bars are gone. I need to get a one that is atleast 6-7 inches high. I can not find any on amazon. Everything seems to be 4-5" high.
No, can you, yes, is it required to build a bigger chest? Absolutely not. As long as you create a great enough stimulus to adapt and get stronger, progress over time, eat enough protein and recover properly you will build muscle. The handles allow for comfort and a bit more wrist mobility in the movement. Adding a full turn is going to do VERY little in terms of results. I'd buy it for comfort over everything else (protect your wrists).

@@juan24camacho35 I have not tried knuckle ups. With the bars, you are still pushing with your palms but you remove the bend in the wrist that can cause issues later on. It is also a bit more comfortable and you get a little more range of motion. Thanks for the comment!
That would be targeting the upper part of the chest the higher you raise your feet. While that might not be a bad thing, it doesn't provide more range of motion vs a regular push-up
@@jameshorton5395 not much, in order to get any real depth, your hands need to be higher off the ground to allow your body to travel further. Just raising your feet doesn't change the height of your hands relative to the ground. Also, the higher you raise your feet, the more your shoulders take over. I also don't like the position of elevated feet all that much. I'd rather perform and incline bench or regular bench press. Flexed on us with the one handed push up lol
Lol you can do it. More of a skill based movement then overall strength, but can be learned :)
Thanks fo rate review. Would you recommend these over the others? And, can they be set not to rotate? Thanks again!
I personally like these a lot. If you want ones with rotating handles these are it! I'm checking out some others that don't turn as well for future reviews.
@@GamerBody Thanks so much! Not yet sure whether I want rotating or stationary...stay safe and well!
I love these! They fit perfectly in a carry on backpack!

Haha nice!
These are really cool I think I will buy them
Yeah I still like them. I really only use them for pushups right now but it works well.
Very informative man thanks. Can you leave a link for the multi gym bar ? I can't find it.
Which bar are you looking for? The one I am currently using (Perfect Fitness Doorway Pull-Up Bar compact edition) or the old multi-gym bar? I guess here is a link to both reviews:

also, here is an old review on the Mega Bar: ua-cam.com/video/Tq7jVaXaD7w/v-deo.html
Let me know if this is what you were looking for. Enjoy.
Price is $18.84 +1.24 tx = $20.08
So I'm glad I went to reviews. I'd rather purchase the 'Elite' model for $7-8.00 more.
The cons are not an issue for me. So all pros!
I'll search for your review on the 'Ab Carver', which I'm looking at here as well.
Nice, yeah I wasn't a huge fan of the original (hurt my palms) but it is very similar in design. The ab carver pro is great.
I hold opposite like palms facing down rather than to the insides am I doing them wrong?
Main question is: are they silent? I do my pushups when others are still asleep.
Great question. They are as I also workout when my wife is sleeping :) my workouts start at 5:30 AM so it has to be very quite as I live in a small apartment. I hope this helps.
@@GamerBody Thanks, I'll give these a go =)
I wish I had these in the military. I've been using the original one for years. They're way more comfortable than doing regular pushups.
Yes I agree. While not really needed, they can assist with wrist pain if you are experiencing it.
Being taller can help you build some more strength with increased tension and weight vs someone shorter than you ;)
Compare to diamond push up without any equipment, which one better base on your experience? Thanks
Yeah I had the V1 option you speak of. I didn't like them at all and got the V2 (or Elite) as shown in the video.
What didn't you like about them? I wasn't going to pay $40 for them so i never got to test them out.
The V1 wasn't comfortable on my hands at all. The flat top just felt bad on my palms where the smaller round handles are much better in the V2 (elite)
I already have the iron gym. Is it worth buying this too?
Do you mean the Iron Gym pull-up bar? That one is very similar to the one I am already using so just stick with that until it no longer works for you. I have not tried that one before, but the pull-up bar I have is basically the same.
@@GamerBody yes, that's the one I was talking about. Thank you!!
@3:45 In the background, the third book "Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle" that eBook changed My Life.
It is a good book. Some things I don't particular agree with now but overall solid info.
Can they not rotate? There is a button to lock it in place?
Mine do not have any option to lock them.
2min drill is insane
Is this something you do with the Perfect Push-Up?

@@GamerBody no thank you man your one of the reasons why I bought my perfect pushup and stay motivated to working out keep up the great work 🤙
Yay! Keep it up and the results will come in no time :)
@@GamerBody Many thanks.
Personally I feel more of the pockets of my chest by collar bone and shoulder really being worked, more bicep is being engaged. Pecs get harder.
I have 380lbs Is it safe for me to use?? Does it have e a weight limit?
Here is what I found on Google: "The Perfect Pushup Elite has longer, more ergonomic handles, more ball-bearings for an ultra-smooth rotation, and is capable of weight limits up to 400lbs."
do you know the difference between Perfect Pushup Elite and Perfect Pushup pro v2 ?
I do not. Look very similar though. I'd probably just go with the one you can find that is cheaper unless you find something else out online.
How does this feel on the shoulders? Do you think it makes you feel more comfortable and natural than a normal push up from the floor?
Feels about the same to me. Remember, focus on squeezing and pushing with your chest as much as possible to avoid too much strain on the shoulders. Of course some force will be on them, but the target is the chest.
@@GamerBody Yeah i should give that a try. I think my form could also be worked on. Thanks
What do you of 9 in 1 board push up..wich one do u think is better to have?
While I've never used the 9 in 1 push-up board, but I have seen it around the internet, I think it is completely worthless. Just do standard push-ups or use regular push-up bars if it is tough on your wrists. If you want to do a push-up variant just place your hands in the proper position.
would it still rotate if used on concrete floor?
Yup! The handles rotate by themselves and the base stays fixed in the floor.
@@GamerBody just ordered the regular push up bars for the added height instead, thanks.
Would this be good for people rehabbing shoulder injuries?
That's a bit beyond me. Can you do normal push-ups? If not then I would not use these and focus on rehabbing shoulder first before using these.
@@GamerBody thank you GB. Keep up the great work
Will these target the forearms more than normal pushups?
No. It will be the same as a standard push-up for your forearms.
The exercise you're doing at about 2:43 is for the obliques, right? Or does it mainly target a different muscle group?
Nope, it is a chest exercise, just requires a bit more balance but you are activating the chest as the primary target on one side then the other.
@@GamerBody awesome, thank you
Ive been doing 150-200 pushups daily. Starting to not get the pumped feeling after. Maybe these will help maybe better form i think my form is fine but not shooting for fine.
What is the reason for so many push-ups?
@@GamerBody at this point a hobby. Part of my daily routine. And its not a straight number more different types of ups broken out and my goal is to at least one up each set. Hence the total looking impressive to a degree. Good way to start the morning

@@GamerBody ooh a weighted vest i have one lol totally forgot lol. I like reps but also do negatives thanks
I just got the regular perfect pushups about a week ago, should I wait to buy this, or buy them now?
Buy now...
If you have the regular and like them, no need for these. Don't waste money if you don't have too. If you don't like them, then I recommend trying these out as I don't like the originals all that much but I do like the Elite version
GamerBody lol I ended up buying them about 10 months ago
Several times in the video I noticed that the bottom plate has axial play.
Can you elaborate a bit? Not sure what you mean.
Is it gonna start hurting wants u keep doing them
Then switch back to regular push-up. No need to hurt yourself.
@@GamerBody gotcha will do I'll pick some of these up I reckon it'll also help with the wrists, thanks for the input on the push up boards I'll avoid those
Yeah it may be a good idea I can test for the channel so thanks for that ;)

Have you tried parallettes bars before ?
No I haven't but I plan too! I want to get some for handstand work so they will definitely make and appearance sometime in 2019!
Why would it hurt your back if you did the exercise with proper form? I'd just wear it normally for squats, lunges, etc.
I get pain in the back of my elbow (probably from bad form) when doing pushups. Do you think this would fix this problem?
It may help a little bit, but it helps your wrists more than your elbows. You may need to do push-ups at a lower level first until you have enough chest and triceps strength. It is most likely a breakdown in your pushup form causing the elbow pain.
If you get tennis elbow, like I do, these will help. Since they rotate (more natural motion) while you're doing push ups
They are resistaint? Good vídeo
The push-up bars don't provide resistance, they just twist to help with the natural movement pattern instead of being locked with palms on the ground. It also helps with wrist pain as your wrist stays in alignment instead of bent :)
They are durable? The supports
They're not tall but you can easily improvise that with a sturdy stack of books or a cinder block or anything sturdy with a flat surface.
True, but it is a can as without extra pieces they are short. If you want to add to it, it won't be much of a problem.
I have the same issue even wearing padded weight lifting gloves.
Hmm try grabbing them a bit tighter. I wonder if too much pressure is being set because you hands are just resting on top.
Her interesting. I don't get that but maybe just the size of your hand matters for it.
Why do some of your videos get over 100k views and others less than 2k.
It's like some of them get picked up by the algorithm and some dont.
Are Harbinger and Perfect Push-up same companies?
I think it might be, or they make the exact same product.
@@GamerBody I checked the website of Harbinger. They are under the same company. So my guess is they’re same products. Maybe Perfect Push-up is specifically for US market. I am so curious about the Harbinger one though…
They sell the Harbinger ones in Walmart and Dicks Sporting Goods in the US. I'm pretty sure it's the exact same :)
What's more important in your opinion, having the ability to rotate of having the depth? I'm trying to go back to basics on my chest. I'm getting stronger but I feel like its all shoulders and arms.
The rotation when done right will smoke your chest.
Eh it's small in terms of results. I'd say it is more for comfort than anything. However if you feel it gives a better mind-muscle connection go for it.
Explain rotating during pushup please.
I fucking love mine
Have you checked out the Iron Chest Master?

You're doing them wrong your just doing regular push-ups. You have to open when down and close as you go up. Alternate it when you get used to them.

I'll take a look at them. What do you think of yours so far?
GamerBody They were $20 and seem like the first version of Perfect Fitness. They seemed to stop carrying Perfect Fitness for some reason (I love their 20lb and 40 lb weight vests) otherwise I would have bought their version.

Thanks for the answer brotha have a great one i see what ur saying
How about you elevate your feet if you want a deeper range of motion. How about that.
That would be targeting the upper part of the chest the higher you raise your feet. While that might not be a bad thing, it doesn't provide more range of motion vs a regular push-up
@@GamerBody exactly, elevate your feet place the stands on two even objects to get deeper. Are u slow?
@@jameshorton5395 not much, in order to get any real depth, your hands need to be higher off the ground to allow your body to travel further. Just raising your feet doesn't change the height of your hands relative to the ground.
Also, the higher you raise your feet, the more your shoulders take over. I also don't like the position of elevated feet all that much. I'd rather perform and incline bench or regular bench press. That's personal preference but I've done both a lot and prefer dumbbells personally.
