I didn’t like it either. The killings and practical effects were good. Outside of that it’s very boring. There’s no suspense, no music, all the characters he comes across the dialogue doesn’t matter as none of them we know anything about. The editing the movie could have been chopped 25 mins as there’s a lot of extended shots like looking at a tree or a camera spinning around a camp fire for 5 mins. The last 20 mins completely shifts from the killer to a character we know nothing about and it’s dialogue that adds nothing. You could honestly get up after 65 mins and leave.
Yes! The practical effects were so realistic that if the story had been done right with suspense, it probably would have been on the list of the scariest movies instead of the worst movies. A waste of gory effects. The girl on the cliff? Insane and wasted...
Just watched this movie a few nights ago, worst horror movie i have seen in a while, thought the ending scene would be worth it possibly. Nope the movie ended abruptly and i felt like I'd been truly robbed of my time and money 3/10 3 cuz they gore was pretty solid.
Yes, the only redeeming factor was the 3 scenes that were over the top some of the goriest killings ever. Not worth 1 and a half hours for that though....
I enjoyed it for the most part. I was fine with following the killer. I felt relaxed and peaceful. The killer was good. The kills are awesome. This movie doesn't have a score and it never bothered me one bit. I do agree with you about the ending. I don't know why the director went that way. The other characters when we see them are so bad. Horrible dialogue.
I rented it for $6 and knew what I was in for. I applaud the filmmakers for there passion. Also, shout-out to the marketing for the movie. It def got people talking. The one thing that bugged me was the dialogue.
I can see how if you are prepared for this unusual style of slasher film, it wouldn't seem as bad. I was impressed by the originality and fx in the kills. It will most likely make a lot of money.
For the experience of a different pov horror, go see it. But after, let me know what you thought of it. Not my cup of tea. I listened to another guy review this movie who enjoyed it. He sounded like a serial killer. Lol
I saw the deaths compilation video here on UA-cam, and I attempted to watch the actual movie, and I'm tell you that I will NOT even be pirating this one. I've seen most of the Blumhouse movies and I've hated every minute of those, and honestly, I would rather sit through a back to back viewing of M3GAN than watch In A Violent Nature. There are better movies to waste your money on, but there aren't many as bad as this one.
@kiillabytez If you had been in a theater, the temptation to walk out was really strong. Lol I stayed to review it but I was miserable. 😆 I do love Blumhouse, but they can be hit or miss films.
I thought it was one of the best slashers I’ve seen in a long time. Great movie. Slow pace only kept a constant state of dread. One of my top five horror movies
I watched another reviewer. He and his friend loved or hated it. I think this is one of those polarizing movies. Thank you for your comment. It's good that there is an audience for this unique take on the genre.

I will still check it out but sounds like it could of been a good 25min short film. I like the idea of following him though.

@@midwesternmoviereviewer Guess you had to stay since you already bought your ticket. Sorry you had to waste money during this financial crisis.
Stay home and watch any Friday the thirteenth film instead
Girl review 😢
Did you see the movie? If you have, what did you like about it?

Wow, you must like Blumhouse movies too.
