I changed my profile picture
I saw this movie earlier today. It was different but I enjoyed it. There's no soundtrack to this movie which I've never seen before. Majority of the kills are brutal but that yoga mat kill was epic. I'll see it again on Shudder.
I just saw this at an early access viewing. It's boring except for the yoga girl scene. And that last 10 minutes was infuriating. Good review, Elliott.👍
That yoga scene was crazy
Just saw it i give it a 8 out of 10
Gruesome fun, I liked it a lot... Just a little upset that 2 kills were not shown 😒
I'm looking forward to seeing in theaters the fact that we follow the killer the whole movie is really interesting and just seeing from his perspective add a whole new layer because you're just going to see him walk and walk and walk through these woods I know some people are gonna find it boring but honestly I find it weirdly soothing even though I haven't seen it yet just the idea sounds very relaxing in a weird way because it's a slasher movie
It definitely is interesting but gets a bit repetitive after a while but definitely excited to see more people check it out and see how it works for everyone.
Oh yes i been waiting to hear about this one. Lets go!
I know you’re a big Friday the 13th fan, so it’s right up your alley.
@@MovieFiles Alll snap!
@@QReviews412 Being that you’re someone that appreciates practical effects, I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on one of the best kills I’ve seen in years!
@@QReviews412the kills were epic
I didn't know about this movie but I love a good slasher. I'll be checking this one out on streaming. Great review! Over the years, I've found many good movies through your channel. Thank you!
Appreciate you watching my review and for the continued support 👏🏾
Dope review fam! You know i gotta see this in the theater. You ever seen the kill in bone tomahawk ? Thats a all time kill for me. So i cant wait to see this kill you speak of!
I’ve heard of that film but haven’t seen it yet. Definitely let me know what you thought of this movie after you’ve seen it.
Bone tomahawk ain't got s.h.i.t on tombstone 😂
Where can you watch it if it hasn't been released yet. It comes out on the 31st.
@@tee4127 Im a critic with early access to review films and this is an example of that
@@MovieFileshow do you get just fan access, like I don't wanna do reviews, but I wanna be apart of early screenings
First time on the channel, really great review! I feel on the same page as your takeaways. The directing experiment was interesting but does remove the tension and fun for most of the film. Anytime the perspective left Johnny I found it disappointing in a way of not committing to the bit if that makes sense.. The long walking scenes were either genius or hollow haha bc it gave me time to meditate on horror genre in general and what this film was trying to say - if anything. Overall the yoga scene is a hall of fame-r for me and was definitely needed bc the film was losing my interest until that point. Thanks for the video!
Appreciate you sharing your thoughts and thank you for watching this review. Hope you stick around to check out others 👍🏾
Just watched. It tonight , I liked some of the kills , but there was boring parts of it also , 6/10 for me , enjoyable but I’m a horror fanatic , casual horror fans I would not recommend it to
Definitely agree that is won’t be for non horror fans.
I’m so excited for this one! I don’t know much from this director but I’ve seen The Void and I liked it
I’ll have to check that one out.
It’s the same director from the void and psycho goreman? I love those films.
Loved it. Reflecting back, it was actually pretty visceral.
That kill on the cliff was wild af 😂
I enjoyed it; the kills, effects and cinematography are all really good. The pace did drag a bit. In its 95min runtime, there's a really good 75-80min movie. I would love to see a sequel.
I think this movie shows how much horror movies really rely on music and tropes to actually be scary.
The Yoga kill made me let out an audible “oh what the fuck”
Omg that kill was fucking sick
Great review!😱😀
Thank you. Do you plan on checking out the movie?
Yoga girls kill 😍😍😍
It’s a asmr movie.
Most soothing slasher movie, I ever seen.
Definitely very soothing and relaxing for a slasher lol
Yoo Elliot I know you said the perspective kinda took the tension out the film. Did the perspective add anything?
After a while it became repetitive but at first the killers pov was interesting
The 2009 Spiker, Is a very impressive beautiful made horror movie! To add two your greatest collection. Have a great fabulous wonderful day.😀
Thanks, you too!
The same Spiker that received a 4% on RT?
First time here, really interesting review ! I'll see it one day, but the minute I saw the trailer for this one I had the feeling it could become repetitive fast...
Great Review👍🏽
Thank you!
Do you plan on checking it out?
@@MovieFiles Definitely plan to watch. I'll give any film a chance that's trying something different.
It's all about the anxiety you feel at the end
I losted it in the theatre and start yelling at the screen when the * SPOILEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR* front his feet. I was livid with the characthers i instant switched to Johnny's side like " yo merc these mofos bro"
I just saw this today. I'm mixed on this. I Iiked that we follow the killer but some parts i found the pacing just dragged. The ending has me wondering if the spirit of johnny entered Chris?
I for one loved this movie. Solid 8.5/10. People are acting like there’s only ONE good kill. I thought every kill was awesome. There’s 3 other standout kills for me other than the Yoga kill. I didn’t mind the slow paced walking scenes. Also I kind of chalked up the bad acting/dialogue to adding to the stereotypical cheesy slasher experience. The ending was completely unnecessary and stop me from rating this movie any higher. This was a breath of fresh air after seeing the Strangers and Tarot. Lol
I went to a early screening last night 🌃 and it was a full house 🏡 I thought it was just meh, also the kill you were speaking of, that kill is goated.
I have a short claymation film. on my channel called the axe killer. I had same idea but my killer talks. My idea was before i heard of this movie.
Yeah right.
He was "hooked" on the idea
The yoga kill scene was awesome. However it did make me gag a little bit. 😅
I want to see it to but THE REMAKE OF Maniac first did that!!!
Good call
@@MovieFiles yessir it was actually very well made
Halloween also gave you the POV of Michael Myers at points
Definitely at points but this is literally 90% of the film that we get their pov
Did he complete this mission finding what was stolen. 😳
Part 2??
I got mixed feelings for this movie , its overrated. 6/10
Bad side : too slow , too predictable , characters were decent , killer is a bootleg Jason Voorhees ( no surprise there ) , the ending was medicore , again with the unnecessary final girl.
Good side : killer was aggressive , most of the kills were cool , they took a risk of doing something different which I can respect that , killers point of view was cool to sudden degree.
Final opinion : it has potential to do better in next movie but they need to make it more up the speed instead of trying be a genetic 80's slasher which is too predictable , its good they didn't try too hard please new audiences but should have kept up with the times
You got me SCARED to see this infamous yoga scene... 😵💫
It’s insane
Brutal
👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Appreciate you watching
Sounds like my bag
Hope you enjoy it
I'm definitely interested in seeing this movie. It's been a while since I watched a slasher. I AM a bit nervous about seeing it in theaters, since I've fainted before while watching certain scenes. I might have to wait until it comes to streaming. The makeshift surgery scene on the daughter in The Last House On The Left remake made me nearly pass out. lol
Yeah the scene in this film is pretty brutal 👀 definitely come back and share your thoughts after you’ve seen it. Appreciate you watching my review.
The beheading scene was crazy ..
I have a reaction video for that scene
@@MovieFiles everyone likes the Yoga scene im talking about the Log cutter beheading was depressing asf
I can't wait to see this
Let me know your thoughts when you do
Very boring in my opinion
Appreciate you sharing your thoughts
I changed my profile picture 😢
So jealous of reviewers who get to see it early
It’ll be out next week, so not to much longer to wait. Really appreciate you watching my video.
It played by the rules
Should have been a short film. Too long. You cut it down and it will be more enjoyable.
Volume to low
Appreciate the feedback but question. What happens when you turn the volume up?
The ending ruined it for me
How tf is everyone already seeing this it ain’t even out
It premiered earlier this year and press is allowing critics like myself to see it for review early.
It's a test run film in hope of becoming a new style franchise going forward. But from all you reviewers this movie isn't worth the fuss because of it's unfavorable ending... And slow pace. I heard 70% of this movie is just this guy walking, watching, and waiting.
Question, did you watch my video yet before commenting, because most of your comments are points I mentioned lol
Yoga
You’ll never look at it the same again
Slow burn
100% a slow burn
The yoga kills was crazy, but made no sense. She didn't attempt to get away. She basically said kill me. Lol. Also, why was he that brutal there, but not nearly as much with others. Ultimately, the pacing was awful. It's very boring most of the movie. The story, overall, was trash.
The 2009 Spiker, An unknown Is a very impressive slasher film. A very ghostly haunting throughout a young teen lady's eyes. A very brutal killer movie. By a very large massive numbers of his victims of a very tall pink eye albino escape prison killer! The town sherif searches out for the killer throughout the movies run time. The young teen lady with her boyfriend invited her friends to the old house in the woods of Har family's inheritance that's in Her name. The killer stalking them all the way there will walking on the train tracks. His favorite very deadly weapon of choice is the train tracks spikes! The midnight teen party would become turns into a bloody bood bath! From beginning of the movie the young teen lady see the large massive killer coming out the water! Then the main caretaker tries to warning is gonna happen! He is the husband of her twin dead aunt, who committed suicide many years ago by jumping in front of a moving train will pregnant! Yes, she very much looks like aunt's very beautiful looks. The two survivors running towards each other. Very unfortunately one gets bloody spiked in the back! The killer wins at the end by stealing the very much dead boyfriend's girlfriend way from him! To start a brand new loving embracing family together. A surprise ending the dead aunt's spirit dream to bring this two together in a killer wedding picture matchermoney. A very much recommended horror movie to see. Spiker the her dead aunt's old house is the killers favorite place to go an find his lost love he once know many years ago. The killer was in love with her aunt, who very much mistake for her! The dead aunt's second arriving. What he total believes in forever loving embracing relationship with a family of his own! A very much recommended horror movie. My Great inspiring wisdom for today. Have a great fabulous wonderful day.😀
Yes, the kills were excellent, the victims were all cringe af and very very stupid. The acting and dialogue were also crap. The last 10 minutes were lame.
Yeah that ending was 🗑️
One of the worst and most boring movies I've ever seen. 1/5
I kept waiting for something to happen. The only thing this has going for it is a couple of the kills. I fell asleep in the theater watching it.
It’s so bad, like there’s artsy bad and then just bad. It’s just bad, don’t waste your money. If you’re interested wait for it to be on streaming. There is only a handful of kills and a MAJORITY are implied/offscreen.
This was the very boring I give it 3. Just like strangers chapter 1. Horror movies 2024 been crappie and boring.
The last 10 minutes were not “great” 🤣 that trash should have been cut
3rd act was garbage. Rest was good
One of the most boring films I’ve honestly seen. Such a let down
I went 2 sleep watching this
This film was highly disappointing. One great kill cannot save this movie. Extremely SLOW, no character build up, dialogue was horrendous and the acting was below average. Only one other time I wanted to walk out of the theater (Black Christmas 2019)but I kept holding out waiting for something to happen and it never did. Ending was nothing but a waste of time. Entire movie was a waste of time. Just google the Yoga kill and you have all the entertainment this film provided.
Worst movie I’ve ever seen in my life. If you want to watch people die just go watch Mortal Kombat fatalities. Nothing interesting in this
Looks like a dime a dozen movie. Meh.
Check it out when it hits streaming
Everything recently has been soo over hyped. I’m not falling for this.
@@whitebread940 me giving it a 3/5 is overhyped?
