When you warn of catching the nail on something, you say it could take the rest of your nail off. Do you mean your whole natural nail could come off (ugh)?
Howndo you deal with rasquedo? Doesnt the fake nail brake off when playing something like Asturias? Cheers, ive got gigs next week and have lost 3 nails completely.
Brian - I have played rasqueado with fake nails (The Miller's Dance by Manuel de Falla) but I do understand your concern. Make sure you don't put too much glue on the nail and that you use the surgical clamps to get any air out of the glue. As for Asturias, if you've got a good seal you should be okay, or you could use a thumb stroke. Good luck - let me know how they hold!
@@ScottKritzer I found that this video technique hurt a lot, also replacing all the nails really through me off my game that week and I played quite badly. I think replacing one nail at a time for damaged nails makes more sense.
Because of my job, construction, it's so hard for me to keep nails. I use ping pong balls and the work fantastic! I can play powerfully as well as soft and tender. The tone is actually really good using these.
Heck your vids is only 11yrs old 😬 This will always serve as a great lesson in using an artificial nail. Great video. Thank you!

Hello does it ruin my nails?
This is the first time I've been advised to glue the fake nail to the underside of the real one. I'll try it.

use a simple teabag & nail glue
