What a great boat. Love that you’re not stuck with one maker of the outboard. The storage for rods, tackle and gear is outstanding. The hidden foot pedal is a great plus. You have totally opened my eyes to AlumaCraft boats. Great video, thank you
Nice breakdown! Wow. Boat made some great improvements. I like the recessed foot pedal compartment, tilt button up front, tool holder up front, rod holders up front, all these are accessories that bass boats have had for years. It would be nice to see some tool holders more toward the back of the boat also. The new windshield frame gets rid of the current plastic one which apparently had a lot of issues in the past with cracking. Problems: 1.) Recessed foot pedal lid should have a cut out so that you can pull the pedal out, put it on the deck, put the cover back on, and move the pedal where you want on the deck. 2.) The pods make it so that you cannot run dual Raptors, Power Poles, or Talons because one of the pods has to have the boarding ladder on it. You cannot direct mount to that pod and there isn't enough room for sandwich brackets because of the pods.
Did they beef up the dashes? Love my 2017 trophy but everyone including my self as had issues with the dash cracking. No matter how gentile you are with it. And even stored in garage.aslo the plastic y valves for live well lines that crack no matter how good you flush them in the fall
Great question. I would contact an alumacraft dealership and ask them. Seeing the two permanently mounted screens up on the dash would indicate it’s been beefed up but not positive about that. Thanks for watching!
I love the redesign I bought a 2022 competitor 175 new but I was disappointed by the rod storage. I was going to order an lund pro v but now I will probably get a new alumacraft. Great changes.
Love my competitor 165. Minor beefs....flimsy cable in glove box, plus need a small grab to open it as it binds and gets hard to open from twist. Need to come with folding cleats at the bow (i installed). Windshield supports screwed into plastic dash and get loose. Roof pole mounting hardware could be beefier. Otherwise extremely happy. Canadian walleye approved. 🙂
Need to add floor drains on the actual floor, not up on the sidewall or gunnels. Need to be able to wash the floor out and not use a towel to dry it up.
I have a 205 2022, I like the boat.I have some issues. Fit and finish is just OK. I have jump seats, you better not stand on them. There is no way even with rod sleeves you can put 16 rods in the middle locker unless you take off most of the reels. I don't have anybody that I speak to with other brand boats to compare. I run a 250SS Suzuki and a 9.9. The boat cooks. This looks good for the extra storage. I would be aware of the long storage doors ,I would hope they don"t warp.
Thanks for the question. I do not know that info, but any Alumacraft dealer should be able to help you with that info. I know the previous generation trophy 185 had a max hp of 175.
@@TwoGuysandaRide Your welcome, and thanks for replying. I am sold on Alumacraft and want to order a 2025 now. Do you know when they will have the performance/ top end speeds, results?? Thanks
recessed position for the trolling motor foot pedal looks problematic. how are you supposed to hit the side or bottom buttons with your foot. storage its ok ide rather something else be there, but you should cut a notch in the cover so you can move it out of the recessed storage area and be able to close the door. In my opinion you should just have it in a storage sleeve under the trolling motor in the bow.
Thanks for the question. The best answer I have is to contact an Alumacraft dealership. To me having seen it in person, I would think that you could mount a kicker but not positive. Thanks for watching!
@jonthelensdestination-fish6304 what about transducers with that design? Is that going to create interference on the very back of the transom? Also what about more of a tournament pro style?
@@RaschkeOutdoors The pod system is up a bit from the bottom of the hull and the motor mounts like a fiberglass boat so the transducers will be mounted up underneath. This Trophy is a couple inches shorter on the side board that the current Trophy and a couple inches taller that the old Tournament Pro so it is a good "in between". I used to always feel like my T-Pro's were on the shallow side so this is a great size change. There will be Competitor models as well with the same outer hull configuration but a Comp style interior with the floor based storage all around the back portion just like today's Competitor.
@jonthelensdestination-fish6304 can't wait to see the full lineup, especially that 195 size. I fish the smaller lakes in the Park Rapids/ Bemidji area so the giant boats get to be a bit overkill.

@@TwoGuysandaRide yeah no problem I definitely like both like I said crestliner is closer to me and I didn't want to rivet at Hall I got a lot of rocks where I live
@@TwoGuysandaRide thanks - was asking to understand if that boat transom can handle the 765 lb dry weight of that BF350. Wanted to know if the boat was rated to handle that motor.
Unfortunately until they come out with specs I can’t answer that. I think it’s going to close though. All they told us was that it could take up to a 400hp outboard, but as you know, they weigh. A different amount. Hopefully they will release the specs soon. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching!
The hull doesn’t look a whole lot different than the 2020 205 I had which wasn’t a very deep V. It was not a dry or smooth ride in anything but light chop. Was definitely disappointed.
Someone please tell me why for the last 10 years are we putting damn live well/ coolers in front of boats you want to mod v something allow me to delete that and add more dry storage maybe sleeve holder plastic bait or bag holders would be new and cool.
Good question, that is ultimately a personal choice, like which is better ford or Chevy. What I can say is that it is every bit as good as those plus offers options you can’t get in others like the choice of outboards, or the multiple rear modules you can choose from. One thought that might help is when the information is available (which it’s not right now) what is the warranty? Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
The best part about this boat, is that it's ridiculously expensive. That's right! We've priced it so that middle-class people can't buy it. That way, you can feel like you're better than them. 👍

How long of rods can you put in the center rod locker and the front deck storage tubes?
