Hi Barbara ~ Thank you for watching my video and your thoughtful words. I appreciate it very much! I didn't make much soap this past year due to time away from home caring for family members. I'm finally back in the swing, LOL!
Hi Tanya ~ Thanks so much for watching my video and your kind words. This past year was taken up caring after family members. I'm hoping to make more soap this year! :) ione
Oh gosh I came back to UA-cam after a bit of a break, and here you are back as well and I'm so pleased. I loved your videos in the past and missed you greatly. This is a beautiful soap!
Hi Polly ~ Thanks so much for watching my video and your thoughtful comment. Last year I had so many family obligations that soap and video making took a back seat. I'm trying to get back into the swing now, LOL! :) ione
Appreciate the tip with milk going in after lye, Eve. I have to make this bar! So pretty and I have oily skin. Your personality/voice reminds me of a dear friend I lost in Jan. Thank you, always enjoy your style. 🥰
I really appreciate you watching my video and your thoughtful words. I'm very sorry you lost your dear friend, my condolences. Have fun making this soap, I sure did! :) ione
Hi Ione it's been a while since you've posted I was beginning to wonder what's going on with you, I hope all is well. It's very nice to see a video from you, please post more regularly, I've been following you since I started soapmaking in 2014. Stay in good health. Sarah
Hi Sarah ~ Thank you for watching my video and your thoughtful comment. I appreciate it very much. This past year was one of caring for family members. Unfortunately, I had little time for soap making. I'm hoping 2023 will be better! :) ione
@@EvesGardenSoaps I look forward to more of your 'figure 8' hanger swirls Ione. I'm very inspired by them and those are simply stunningly beautiful ❤️😍
Ione ... your soaps are FAB! I watch a lot of soapmakers. Your style and designs are very recognizable. Once again, I'm going to try to copy one. Don't worry...they never look like yours. :) Would you be able to say where you get those gloves? I love how long they are.
Hi Laura ~ Thanks so much for watching my video and your thoughtful comment. I appreciate it very much! To answer your question, I got the gloves on Amazon. They are called Midnight Mitts Nitrile Gloves by Framar. I'll leave a link for you. Happy soaping! :) ione www.amazon.com/FRAMAR-Powder-Free-Nitrile-Gloves/dp/B07F8DD5MV/ref=asc_df_B07F8DD5MV/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241948599983&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5720551775012590626&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9033439&hvtargid=pla-489063884350&psc=1
Ione could you give me an idea of how much bentonite clay to use in 1000 grams of oil? I am having a difficult time finding any measurements for the amount of oil to use. Thank you in advance for your help and reply.
Hi Jean ~ Thank so much for watching my video. I'm happy to try and answer your question. I say "try" because I figure the amount of bentonite clay per ounce of soap, not by oil or grams. Looking at a conversion table (grams to ounces), I'm guessing your making about 1360-1370 g of soap? If that is the right amount, I would use about 14 g of bentonite clay. If you want to figure it closer, my calculation for grams would be 0.28 g per 28.34 g of soap. You can add the clay into the oil of course! I hope this helps and happy soaping! :) ione
Hi Rose ~ Thank you for watching my video! To answer your question, for gelled soap the cure time is 6 weeks, refrigerated soaps cure for 8 weeks. I hope this helps and happy soaping! :) ione
