- The mayor of Monessen showed up to a council meeting Monday night after missing every single one for the past 20 months. In his absence, two council members, the city administrator and solicitor essentially ran the city. But that all changed Monday.

You have a metro child for a mayor. Good job electing him lol.
If a city let's the Mayor do what he did..not show up for 2 years worth of meetings then everyone needs to be fired and the so called Mayor needs to be held accountable to repay the city for his absence.
But why was he allowed to essentially collect a paycheck and yet not perform any work?

Why hasn’t he been removed if he missed all that? Could he really fire them if he wasn’t around for 2 years? Why can’t the people fire him?

My city council meets twice a month. Attendance by the mayor, city manager, and every city council member is mandatory. Missing 3 meetings in a year will get you fired UNLESS the members vote to excuse you at each meeting.
Well it's clear where he's been for over a year. He was in his parents basement where he lives playing his Xbox games. Until his parents finally got tired of him and threw him out.
