Happy new year ❤️
Happy new year❤️
We love you Nick
Keep on nicking✌️
thanks and also...
your thoughts on spiderverse 2 bc it isn't here why
We love you Nick! Hope you get better behind the scenes and everything turns around. Have a great new year
Barbenheimer was THE cultural event of 2023. I'm glad that I managed to get the chance to catch both on the big screen, I was mesmerised by the storytelling and acting.
At my niche movie theatre I got to experience the less ubiquitous Schindler’s Burger phenomenon. Highly recommend the experience if anyone reading is fortuitous enough for their cinematic stars to ever align in such a way
i thought it was a bit of a shame the meme overshadowed great movies coming out at that time
I have an idea for what next year’s video should be titled.
Nick’s Best of 2024
I think the "of" should be capitalized
2024 Frames of Nick

As a huge Godzilla fan I'm glad people are loving Minus One. Finally people see what Godzilla was originally supposed to be. The metaphor for the horror of atomic bombs and generally the horror of wars. Ive seen all 37 Godzilla movies and it is my favourite.
Same. As a Godzilla fan, I feel like this took the best aspects of the original, GMK, and Shin to create what I’d call the best Godzilla movie yet.
As another Godzilla fan (clear by my pfp) I loved Godzilla Minus One, and am glad that we got such a beautiful, poignant story.
This comment thread is why I will be watching Minus One with complete trust in its quality.
@@rookregent5623 Nice
Great list dude! I’m struggling with depression and loneliness even now as an 18 year old in high school, and movies help make me happy as well as find meaning in life.
I hope for the best of your existence. You own yourself to embrace the heart of cinema and why we all exist in the first place. Never let anyone take that away from you.
@@AcountryLin thanks dude! Your comment means the world to mean.
Ah bro... relatable shit.
Across the Spiderverse is only half of a tale that makes you wanna hug someone.
That said idk if it's my favorite of the year.
It's a great ass movie but I also love Beau Is Afraid, Oppenheimer, Past Lives, Killers Of The Flower Moon.
Those were some good ones
I'm really excited to see what Sidney Lumet does next, Dog Day Afternoon was probably my favorite movie this year
He might win the Oscar ngl
Godzilla Minus One is possibly the best film I’ve ever watched in a cinema and I’m going to give it a second watch tomorrow. It’s an amazing depiction of trauma, cost and fear of nuclear war as well as the fear of past mistakes and how it effects you psychologically and how it distances you away from loved ones. Amazing visuals and action, brilliant characters with amazing chemistry, a bold and well written script and a lot more. Minus One is literally a perfect film. I’m also really excited to see Poor Things, it looks crazy fun and it just came out here in Australia.
Past Lives was my personal favourite movie of this year. Everything was brilliant, from the acting, writing, editing, direction and soundtrack. I hope that it sweeps the award season.
And that ending. Holy SHIT that ending! Easily one of the best of the year for so many reasons.
It should win best screenplay.
Yeah, Dog Day Afternoon... Best movie of 2023, Al Pacino never ages
In a year where I felt like I've been bombarded with news of movies failing, it's refreshing to see lists like this that remind me of all the good this year had to offer.
Thanks, Nick. And take care.
Objectively ranking movies coming from such different genres is honestly impossible so i love that there's no ranking here
I think for me the Barbenheimer experience was the best movie I went to all year. Walked right out of Oppenheimer and right into a screening of Barbie. Very strange night indeed 😂
Nick I love you bro. Thank you for continuing to drop fire content, you inspire me fr
iron claw might be my favorite of the year… cried like a baby at that one
You’re so right Poor Things is THE movie of the year
nick! i am happy to listen to you & i have really enjoyed your videos for the past couple years that i've been watching! i hope your 2024 is better than this one, and take whatever time you need to feel good.
and re:video, this year WAS so good for films! and i know it will probably not be so good in the coming years as a result of losing so much of the year to the sag-afta strike, so i am savouring it. i got to see a ton of new films this year at a film festival (my first!) and it's so fun to see what got critically acclaimed and what was just for me & the audience in those moments. my top of the year were definitely Talk to Me, Past Lives, Saltburn, and honestly the Super Mario movie, not because it was the best film at all, but it just gave me so much childlike joy while watching. i don't know the last time i giggled through a whole movie :)
TMNT Mutant Mayhem was really something else. Happy to call it my 2nd favorite TMNT film, right behind the 1990 movie of course😁😁😁😁
Nick today marks the one year anniversary of when I first saw It's Such a Beautiful Day.
Hope you have a great 2024!
good luck! I know it's rough now, but I know you got it in you to keep pushing through it. If your life leads you to stop creating, well I'm lucky I got to catch a glimpse of it. thanks for all you've done and I hope this year treats you better!
As a relatively long time fan of the series (been a fan for 9 years), Godzilla Minus One was everything I could have hoped for. A film that combines a good story that I want to follow with an actually terrifying Godzilla and spectacle that’s genuinely impressive considering the film’s budget of less than $15 million USD. I, for one, hope future Godzilla movies learn from the success of this movie cause I’d love to see more of this from the series from now on
Godzilla
Minus one is a terrifying monster movie with actual characters u care about
Bottoms was such a great surprise, didn't know what to expect, didn't knew where it was going, but loved the whole ride
Love you nick
Some films I loved this year which weren't included in the video already. Jesus Revolution is a film that shows the historical movement in many cities of the USA. It shows how acceptance open the doors and may change a lot for people's lives. While it also shows some troubles during that time. Rye Lane is a beautiful love story over one day, just really made me happy. And Sound of Freedom and Extraction 2, two action films with a meaningful story to tell and some great performances.
Minus one instantly became one of my favourite movies of all time.
And then he left.
maybe the real fnaf are the dream theories we made along the way
Hey I'm always super happy whenever I see that you uploaded :)
BOY AND THE HERON CLUB
Bro really forgot Across The Spider-Verse 😭
He already said enough.
@@AcountryLincould have at least mentioned it
Heck yeah 😎
Been a subscriber for a while, don’t think I’ve ever commented tho. I hope 2024 is great for you and that you achieve your goals! I hope this year is great for all of us, I think it will be (but I cannot see the future I’m just being hopeful lmao)✨😌
Didnt he say that a video of diary of a wimpy kid is gonna come out soon?
Definitely love the more positive video
Mutant mayhem brought a huge grin to my face, I’m so excited to see what comes next from it
I hope you’re doing OK man
It's nice to see you talking about things you are passionate about
Poor things is my 2nd favorite movie of the year
yay you mentioned prozd in this one 😃
So many good films came this year. John Wick 4 was probably my favorite movie of the year. Loved the fight choreography, set designs and characters. A soild ending for a solid franchise
I would love to hear your opinion on your 20 best animated movies of all time
Happy New Year! You are such a source of joy and I hope you feel a lot of joy in your life 💕
love the vid! also, you said 'biopic' wrong LOL
12:01 the fact that Mario in animatronic horror was a thing
dam im early, love the vid as always
I think the biggest issue people have when making a Godzilla movie and adding human characters is they make the human characters too phony and Hollywood. If it was directed with more of a horror aspect than an action one it would be better imo. Because you al2ays see in bog budget action movies the human being like "wow a giant thing. Ahh I'm scared. Oh it's friendly. It's my friend now" or exaggerated to the point where it isn't believable. If you want to make a quality Godzilla movie from the perspective of a human, make it about what you would think if you were going about your day and you saw it, or you were hearing about it on the news. Think the movie Threads. Focus less on Godzilla and either build up to the reveal or just see it from a fps view. If you want to make a "rawr monster destroy the city" movie then this formula works but if you want to tell the tale of a human in the presence of a giant monster battle the two should not be handled the same.
I saw blackberry at my local theatre with a friend and there was like one other person in the room with us. But I really liked it
yay! nick! movies! yay
Nick: *talking about Blackberry*
Me: This sounds really good. I'ma check it ou-
N: Also ProZD is in this movie-
Me: TAKE MY FUCKIN' MONEY.
Dream scenario was an underrated film from this year 🗣️
Paddleton is the only movie ive ever seen that made me full on sob ugly cry. Underrated gem.
GOG3 was my movie of the year
Gran Turismo was absolutely one of the best movies of the year for me
Can you review norm of the north family vacation? Just wondering because of a certain white bear...
Godzilla Minus One shows the determination of humanity against adversity against the unknown
thanks or the nice overview!
John Wick 4 is a masterpiece. This whole list is awesome
Wonka better be on this list
realest top2023 i've seen
Paddleton came out in February 2019 😂
If Past Lives can be summed up in one world it would be ennui
Old thumbnail changed 🧐
great video nick sadly Dog Day Afternoon did NOT come out in 2023
Why...did you talk about Dog Day Afternoon, and Texas Chainsaw 2? Those are decades old.
The killer at 4 1/2 stars is boggling to me
pleeez consider time stamps. ❤
Crazy Zone of Interest didn't make the list, but I guess there were just so many good ones
Haven’t had a chance to watch sadly. Hopefully it plays in a theater near me soon
@@24FramesOfNickDefinitely a good chance it will get a slightly broader release around awards season.
01 Monster
02 Past Lives
03 Killers of the Flower Moon
04 Oppenheimer
05 The Promised Land
06 John Wick: Chapter 4
07 The Killer
08 Soulmate
09 Asteroid City
10 Call Me Chihiro
I need to watch Godzilla Minus One, Zone of Interest, The Boy and the Heron and Poor Things. 2023 was insane. F´n Quality.
STARDEW VALLEY MUSIC LETS GO
Nick
My Top 3 Movies of 2023:
1. TMNT Mutant Mayhem
2. Barbie
3. Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse
Whats the background music in the beginning?
Stardew valley OST Winter (the wind can be still)
@@24FramesOfNick thank you 😊 🙏
Guy from Dog Day Afternoon was based we stan a king supporting his queen by any means necessary
No Iron claw
Bro didn’t even mention the best animated movie of 2023 Across The Spiderverse
AHHH nolans best film?
The last movie video he is posting
ok
I cried watching Godzilla Minus One :)
i started watching asteroid city and I got so extremely bored of it.
No way you said air was just fine
With your audience I think the thumbnail should have been *Mutant Mayhem,* Bottoms, or *The Boy & The Herring*
Just because I feel like the channel deals with Nostalgia we grew up with Miyazaki, seeing the turtles change form & theatrical comedies dying. Either one could have a reason to tug at the heart strings
Most this top 10 giving only the film already in critics top 10, we should find some foreign or lesser know films, everyone choosing same kind of films, try Agra by kanu bahl
bark simpson movie
Nice to see that somebody thinks this was a good year for movies.
I mean, it beyond a shadow of a doubt was not, but nice nevertheless.
Barbenheimer was FIRE tho. Two great movies on the same day! 👌
This was a very good year for movies
About My Father DESTROYED ME
Dog day afternoon came out in 75 why is it in this video?!
Bro Paddleton was from 2019 😭
I'll let him get away with that because he included my personal fave of the year 'Dog Day Afternoon'
@@LouisSchlouis I realized the joke he was making as I continued the video. Haha, I love his sense of humor
@@fiazrahman4552 yeah bro. love how he started with a relatively new and niché one so you really could think he fucked up
@@LouisSchlouisdo you guys listen to these videos? it wasn’t a bit he said he would be talking about first watches from other years too
@@reversepsycho you ruined the joke that wasnt actually a joke
Not a single comic book movie on your list
Because most of them suck nowadays
Puss in boots was the best animated movie and the super mario bros movie was possibly the most hyped movie out there
The Oppenheimer sex scene was so uncomfortable, not saying I have a problem with that kind of thing but it comes out of absolutely nowhere and it shows Nolan doesn’t know how to do a good sexy scene.
24 Frames of Nick's list > Barack Obama's list
bro i didnt watch any of these whats wrong with me
Why don't you talk about these kinds of movies in your regular videos?
Kotfm >Oppenheimer
very gay,in the good way
To not mention Barbie in this video…
Means that you have my respect🤝
It's fine wdym
