Looks like two of the most successful movies this year both featured Chris Pratt and 'No sleep till Brooklyn' from the Beasty Boys. I hope studios will learn from this and put these things in every movie going forward
WB had some of the longest running they’re runs this year, paramount had the 2 longest, Disney is the most guilty of a 45 day theatrical window, with many lower budget films running for three weeks exclusively, then getting a streaming or digital release

There are a lot of lessons to be learned. While we haven't watched the Bombs video yet, I feel confident in saying, the biggest factor in the profitability of the major movies is going to be budget. This is no shock, but Disney in particular doesn't seem to understand this. Most of the movies on this list averaged about $100M. As someone who liked the Mario movie, I think your problems with it are fair. I heard someone describe it as candy where, as a fan, they loved it. But, as a critic, they felt nothing.
The theater was packed when I saw The Sound of Freedom. Sure, towards the end of its run there were probably empty screenings in smaller theaters. That happens with almost all films.
This has been such a weird year for cinema. Some marvel movies go out of theaters as soon as possible, and then there is oppenheimer which still had showings months after it released
They couldn't really invest in their projects tho, they were still scrambling because of Kang and Majors. I mean, look at the weird Marvels and Loki overlap yet disconnect. If this were another phase, Loki would have been relevant to that movie and ended a week prior. That way the fans who wanna see both, can, and those that just saw one or the other would get lured into the mystery. Instead they catered to people like me who watch everything mutants and magic but then over saturated the field for the normies. Marvels ended up being my #1 favourote MCU film so far, and i had no idea it would be. The marketing was insanely incoherent. Whereas at least we knew exactly what we were getting with Strange 2, which was my number one until now. Theyre so weird dude. If i was a millionaire and in charge of these characters it would be so easy to just keep it simple stupid

5:49 this is what I’m saying fnaf and Mario and Barbie are massive massive brands which people recognise and that’s why people are going to see them, the next big thing isn’t toy movies or video game movies it’s movies with recognisable logos, I think Mikel Keaton is kicking himself for calling it the founder and not calling it “McDonald’s” because if he did it would have made billions
He could make a movie about the founder but he couldn't have actually called the film "McDonald's™" without paying a fortune for branding rights.
As someone who liked the Mario movie, I think your problems with it are fair. I heard someone describe it as candy where, as a fan, they loved it. But, as a critic, they felt nothing.
We saw Trolls 3 on Christmas day, I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Yes, I have 2 young kids
Cheers mates from California
Hello from where we're from!
I really enjoyed Rise of the Beasts, I grew up with Beast Wars and they are still my favorite Transformers
Who didn’t see the Meg 2? Greatest film of all time
The theater was packed when I saw The Sound of Freedom. Sure, towards the end of its run there were probably empty screenings in smaller theaters. That happens with almost all films.
Eww you went to go see that, lol.
1:10 Short answer: Shut Up!
2:45 Top 10 Shut up!

The biggest Hit of the year is clearly the "Defenders of the Earth intro theme clip" as part of the Weekly Planet intro.
This is the first time I've heard of skippity toilet
Cant wait for the super BOMB diggerdy
Elemental just had a solid concept that animators could explore in fun ways. I assume. I'll never see it.
Y’all rule ❤
