Probably because professors have to keep you focused for hours on end even though the human brain needs rest intervals every 40ish minutes. It's not necessarily your teachers fault... I mean it might be. But the education system is just dodgy in general. This guy is explaining it well because it is a short concise video not something he has been told to talk about for hours

I could not find a tutorial online for the life of me that showed how to actually solve the dang thing, I could find the equation... but without an extensive background in math this was all far over my head. I guess people think "oh you'd know to distribute here" or "you'd know to divide by this term here" so they gloss right over it, which is maddening let me tell you. I can't stress enough just how much this helped me, I might actually have a shot at my exam now, haha! Thank you so much for this!

I have spent probably more than 10 hours altogether (this year) trying to understand how to do this with the help of a chemistry tutor, my professor, reviewing my notes, the previous years notes (withdrew course as I’m bad with math) the book, and other websites (Socratic, Khan Academy).
Tomorrow is my exam(in 6 hours) I withdrew from 1 year ago today, but after I spent 4 / 6 minutes on this video I now understand this idea and feel better for this test this time around. I can’t thank you enough!!

Thanks man. I have a take home long exam and I found the answers on Google but I didn't understand so I had to search for a UA-cam video. This helped a lot! Thanks again. :)

This was so very helpful.... You explained it well. Thanks for mentioning why we use (1-x), I had forgotten that from Algebra.

Thank you. My college professor confused all of us when doing this and did a terrible job helping us. You make me actually understand what I'm doing. Now I'm not just plugging in numbers to some stuff she gave us, now I actually know what exactly I am doing and why I'm doing it. 1-x made no sense to me until watching this.
