It's really sad when you pay $30,000 a year and your college professor doesn't even cover the material they grade on and you have to turn to youtube for help. Thanks for the video man, helped a lot!
You said it right. My Prof didn't even mention amu in class but is assignments are all on amu. Sometimes I wonder why I even waste my to attend his class rather than just go online. Thanks chemistNATE
Probably because professors have to keep you focused for hours on end even though the human brain needs rest intervals every 40ish minutes. It's not necessarily your teachers fault... I mean it might be. But the education system is just dodgy in general. This guy is explaining it well because it is a short concise video not something he has been told to talk about for hours

I've been doing extra problems just for fun because I feel empowered, thanks to you. I was freaking out for this Chem quiz two days from now! :) Thumbs up & Applause.

@@lionalesso2770 has nothing to do with the algebra, its they go too fast and dont explain the algebraic steps they're taking. I could not find a tutorial online for the life of me that showed how to actually solve the dang thing, I could find the equation... but without an extensive background in math this was all far over my head. I guess people think "oh you'd know to distribute here" or "you'd know to divide by this term here" so they gloss right over it, which is maddening let me tell you. I have spent probably more than 10 hours altogether (this year) trying to understand how to do this with the help of a chemistry tutor, my professor, reviewing my notes, the previous years notes (withdrew course as I’m bad with math) the book, and other websites (Socratic, Khan Academy). Tomorrow is my exam(in 6 hours) I withdrew from 1 year ago today, but after I spent 4 / 6 minutes on this video I now understand this idea and feel better for this test this time around. I can’t thank you enough!!
30 minutes before i have to go to chemistry lecture and take a quiz on this, i couldn't understand what my professor was explaining the whole 2 hour lecture before but i understood it clearly in a 6 minute video. thank you sir !!!!
I swear teachers be using the vaguest and complex ways to explain things when they should really just explain it like this, with a nice slow clear video with easy examples. I can not thank you enough for making this video.
A life saving video. My professor never covered this I was frantically going over all my notes and it was just a basic algebra problem. Thank you so much!
Coming from a college student with a super dry, unhelpful professor, I appreciate this video so much. Really makes sense how to calculate abundance now. Seriously, thank you so much
