Batman Forever is kind of bizarre. It's got plenty of serious dramatic moments that get balanced out by pretty amusing scenes, all mixed in with a couple of, genuinely, kinda cool action pieces, all set against the backdrop of a Gotham City that has a nonsensical but oddly inspired architectural design and infrastructure. And yet, possibly because of those aforementioned aspects it's in equal parts restrained and unrestrained, but it kinda works for the film. That said, the cast of Forever just makes a lot of the above work even better. Like, even though Tommy Lee Jones hates (or hated?) There's also some pretty good scenes between Val Kilmer, Michael Gough, and Chris O'donnell that showed them having a decent mentor-student relationship with each other (certainly better than what we got in B&R), on top of having a pretty clearly decent understanding of their own characters; and hell, like I've already mentioned, Val Kilmer gets some genuinely cool moments as Bats. 60's Batman The Movie had a serious scene. When Catwoman tries to escape the submarine, falls and mask falls off, revealing to Batman/Bruce Wayne, his love interest, Miss Kitya, was really catwoman. Scene changes to sad music and we see the pain in Batmans eyes as his heart is shattered. Props to Adam West to conevey it through a mask and only through his eyes.
24:17 I'm going to have quote comic book reviewer Linkara about this scene because are really over-hating this aspect. Linkara: Batman is rich. Nostalgia Critic: A BAT-CREDIT-CAR-wait, what? Linkara: He is rich, and has funneled that money into his crime-fighting enterprises through shell companies and false identities. Nostalgia Critic: I don't get what you're... Linkara: And being someone who prepares for multiple eventualities, as demonstrated in both comics and TV, wherein he's actually utilized his money to solve a situation, or bought something that he wouldn't usually carry with him, which would include, say, diapers for a rescued baby, or coffee to keep himself awake, plus his tendency to accessorize his crime-fighting tools to fit his motif, from something understandable, like a fearsome vehicle, to something silly, like his projectiles resembling a bat, and the aforementioned usage of shell companies to acquire items, what exactly is so ridiculous and anger-inducing... about a BAT. CREDIT. CARD?! - Atop the Fourth Wall, Batman & Robin: The Official Comic Adaptation Linkara: I took a look at the comic adaptation of the abysmal movie Batman and Robin. You might remember it because I KILLED THE BAT CREDIT CARD JOKE!! And yeah, I've read your critiques of it. "But he'd still have to sign up for a Bat Credit Card and reveal his true identity. It's so traceable!" No, no, he wouldn't. One, Batman has a number of false identities. Dude's a genius and he could easily cover his tracks. You think credit card fraud is beyond him? Two, as I said in that episode, shell companies: corporate credit cards are a thing. You could just have it be Batman, Incorporated, or something, and it would still work. Coincidentally, there is a comic called "Batman, Incorporated". -Atop the Fourth Wall, Batman: The Official Movie Adaptation
Or more simply since batman and Bruce Wayne are seen or "known" as 2 different people Bruce could simply say "batmans a good "friend" of mine so I asked Wayne industries to give him a emergency line of credit to finance any non lethal first response services" Which did make more sense after events like no man's land and Wayne and the city fathers financing batman was the major plot point of Batman: White Knight.

"Sadly I'm not good at rejection. I'm afraid you'll have to die. Aaaaah !" 😂😂 (17:01)
The fact that we're still talking about this movie makes it successful
We do have to hand it to these bad movies, they are bad in a way that is arresting and fascinating, unlike most of what comes out of Hollywood, which are just boring, the worst crime a movie can commit.
As far as dramatic tears go, Alita might be right behind him
John Glover killing Thurman was hilarious.
I've been checking my notifications like a crackhead for this
Man when Billy loses his shit and his laugh comes out. That’s the best part lmao 🤣
6:03
Batman VS TMNT animated crossover happened after that. 😅
I just had the mental image of Gordon from "The Batman" trying to yell out to Selina. "GET BACK HERE WITH YO FINE ASS! I'M THE POLICE!"
I’m surprised they didn’t mention the weird cameo by Coolio during the racing scene. Like he’s just there, no questions.
Yall got me worried about George Clooney now 🤣 is he okay?
The difference between Batman Forever and Batman & Robin is the difference between the drunk chick at the party at midnight and the same drunk chick at the party at 3:30 in the morning 😜🤪
John Glover played Lionel Luthor in Smallville and The Riddler in Batman the Animated Series in the 90s. He’s awesome!
Like the channel. Can you guys do a review on the 1949 Batman and Robin serial?
Having gerks back seems like old times now
The guy standing behind the '$500,000!’ guy is US Senator Patrick Leahy. Who, as we all know, reminds the Joker of his father.
I love that last run they do into the night with the bat signal drop. As a kid I would fast forward just to that part hahahahaha.
Joker 2: "Move over Schumacher. There's a new worst movie of all time."
21:12 🤣🤣🤣 The part is just classic
How did Alfred know her measurements?
Finally!! The second part!! 🤣🤣
It's bad enough Schumacher messed up Bane's character, but apparently he hated Poison Ivy so much, that she was given the worst fight scene in the movie.
Maybe that’s reason why every poison Ivy action figure came with bane.
Considering poison Ivy has never been physical as a character of course the fight scene is bad.
@@thelinedrive it wasn't just the fighting. Her use of plants for attacks could be dramatic or even terrifying but they couldn't even get that right.
Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy stripping from the gorilla suit is a direct homage or rip-off of Marlene Dietrich in the movie BLONDE VENUS 🦍 ua-cam.com/video/G5cw0I0R0nQ/v-deo.html
That's pretty great!
Bale's Batman needed a whole new suit to turn his head in the batsuit. Clooney got no problem moving that head. Lol
Korey roasting batman Head shake will be considered as national treasure right now , back then he roast Keaton no neck batman turning.. and now Keaton is safe, Clooney, you got 10 years to become Head shake korey roast history hahahaha
This should have been a three-parter
I wish I knew...
That Hello Fresh ad was too fuckin good man 🤣
Batman and robin is the most important comic book movie in cinema
On how not to adapt an comic book
- Kevin feige
60's Batman The Movie had a serious scene. When Catwoman tries to escape the submarine, falls and mask falls off, revealing to Batman/Bruce Wayne, his love interest, Miss Kitya, was really catwoman. Scene changes to sad music and we see the pain in Batmans eyes as his heart is shattered. Props to Adam West to conevey it through a mask and only through his eyes.
16:37 that's john Glover? This whole time I thought that was Tim Blake Nelson.
George Clooney turned into D'lo Brown in this one.
Finally! I've been waiting on part 2 for a while.
I almost thought yall forgot to post part 2! I was getting worried.
CREDIT. CARD?!
- Atop the Fourth Wall, Batman & Robin: The Official Comic Adaptation
Linkara: I took a look at the comic adaptation of the abysmal movie Batman and Robin.
Or more simply since batman and Bruce Wayne are seen or "known" as 2 different people Bruce could simply say "batmans a good "friend" of mine so I asked Wayne industries to give him a emergency line of credit to finance any non lethal first response services"
Which did make more sense after events like no man's land and Wayne and the city fathers financing batman was the major plot point of Batman: White Knight.
Mane these guys are too funny!!!!😂😂😂😂
