    Dude you are seriously a genius when it come to engineering to a point where the finished product verges on being artwork. No one out there does the details like you.

    Biggest elephant in the room that is not being addressed is that unique bumpstop linkage setup.

    • @krebel86
      @krebel86 Рік тому +4

      It allows the bump to contact the outer cup of a uniball without building a bump plate on the uppers. The arm is to keep the bump from wondering while moving through it’s travel. Don’t know if that’s 100% but that’s how I see it.

    • @MorganClarkeDesign1
      @MorganClarkeDesign1  Рік тому +3

      That’s on point. the other benefit is less structure hanging off the chassis at the bump stop mounting location.

    Probably the most self-aware fabricator and car builder I've seen. Never seen another one of your videos but I know quality when I see it.
    Too bad you're not local to me, I'd be beating down your door to come work for you until you said yes.

      Thank you. That means a lot. Weeding through the clients & securing the rights ones seems to be one of the hardest challenges. As my frequency changes, the old patterns & people don’t work.
      Once this 6100 is done I will go in depth about the struggles & the lessons behind it. Right now it’s shut up & put my head down.

    This is the tin work I miss…everyone has mostly gone to carbon and molded dash panels. We know the benefits to that however it makes the trucks too cookie cutter nowadays. It’s good to see the epic work you guys are doing.

    Really enjoy your monday run downs as to what is ongoing but more so your design process, I find myself relating to the way you think and mind works glad to know I am not the only one out there that has OCDC and excells in your work but still has the inner demon causing you to doubt and second guess yourself and never compromise.
    I am intrigued by the front bump stop set up I can't get my head round how it works efficiently with the thickness of the rod to be strong enough. Roll on the next monday.

    How do you portion and prioritize your time? Do you sleep 4 hours a night? I see you hit the gym and work weekends. You also mentioned 100hr weeks on this truck between 2 guys. But I know you got kids and a wife as well. How you manage getting so much packaged in a week is just as impressive as the fab work. Love your stuff. This is the educational content I wish there was more of out there.

    The ability to blend form and function to this level of craftsmanship is inspiring. Even this rock donkey is applying what I’ve learned here to my own build and I had a question. In one of the videos you mentioned putting your weld washers inside the pocket of the upper shock mounts. I assume that’s more for appearance sake so the outside of the bracket is smooth but does it serve any other function?

    • @MorganClarkeDesign1
      @MorganClarkeDesign1  Рік тому

      Thank you… 👊🏿 the weld washers on the inside allow for the articulation of the shock body. If they are not there the edges of the shock mounts dig into caps of the shock.

    If you want a great project that not many have done you could build a hummer h3 out. Their becoming cheaper to buy and you can easily drop a 5.3. I got one I’m doing soon and I wish I had more money and tech to make the build amazing. Just a thought 💭

    • @MorganClarkeDesign1
      @MorganClarkeDesign1  Рік тому

      The “dash” is representative of the leading edge of the aero up front. That needs to be consistent as possible per side. Sight lines & cones of vision are established. That’s all the function required for the deck height
