Highly recommend going to Team O'Neil. They have plenty of elevation at their facility, unlike Dirtfish. I live on the west coast but choose TON every time. Instructors are awesome. Money well spent.
NH? Cool! You guys are so close I can almost hear you. Brilliant video, Ken has turned into one of the most professional and experienced drivers, I'd watch him rally a Subaru Justy or whatever those were called lol
I love the livery on the cars. Ken Block has a sick racing suit. Block would probably still be doing this stuff at 70 and still kicking ass. I will always be a fan
Agree with Mr Voss, I have been a spectator on course with open class cars in Tillamook and Olympia to name two. They make gnarly sounds down shifting down hill in to a tight right, but the truck…..damn guys, good shyt. 🤘🔥😎🔥🤘
Man, I missed Zac's BAJA UPDATE so much :D Absolutely love this guy! The aero package on the Subaru is rad! And the trophy truck makes 1100 horsies *NA* ?! Dang :D Also: Alex really deserves some love! I really really enjoy the kinds of videos where we can see Ken shred the car and listen to Alex's pace notes along with it :) He generally seems like such a nice guy! Thank ALL of you so much for bringing us the videos! Much much appreciated :)
It would be cool to see how a STadium Super Truck would fair since it is smaller and lighter than the trophy truck but also has a V8 and plenty of travel in the suspension.
A Rally car is overqualified to be raced on a track. That's the beauty of rally... there is no track. With the exception of the special stage it's all paths or public roads. A track car could not compete on a rally course.
The people needed to know, and you have answered! Doing a Community Service - Thanks Ken. Now go get a Pro4, and run it against the WRX at Crandon! Thanks in advance.
Please do a this vs that with these so they can be compared in a straight line. I think it might actually be competitive, considering the trucks power advantage and possibly better gearing over a longer distance
Bryce Menzies drag raced his trophy truck four or five years ago and did a 10.4 in the 1,000 ft, with all the spare parts, tires, and co-driver still in the truck
Pretty interesting. I have a feeling the fast desert guys could give Ken a pretty good run for his money head to head TT vs Rally. Ken needs more seat time in the TT!
Not on a typical Rallye stage, though. Its not so much the driver that is the limiting factor here but rather the car. A TT just cant go as fast around corners as a Rallye car can on a gravel surface. Too much travel, too high center of mass on top of it... as he said, it feels like a boat. These vehicles are purpose built, thats why a TT can run circles around a Rallye car off-road, the more the rougher the terrain gets.
Alex I give all kinds of kudos to you brother! To navigate and not look at most of the road me I could do it but I have know so many people that lose their lunch, after 30 seconds
Wow, heavier things have more inertia than light things... Who knew? But damn, that sounded amazing, and holding the line in a vehicle with the suspension of a 1974 coupe de ville... Rally driving has always amazed me since you basically are driving on your imagination of what the co-driver describes in coming up, since by the time you see it it's already too late...
If the organisers allows it, some of those off-road tyres (not sure which one but I've heard from my rally community in my country) can actually destroys the gravel roads unless the trucks run similar tyres like the ones on the rally cars.
@@hashrulsubzero easy enough to swap to a smaller tire to meet stage rally regulations. The bigger issue is rally cars need to be road legal, and trophy trucks are very much not
Trophy truck is two wheel drive though, and that kills you on acceleration. :o) *which has been proved by many folk who blew the front axel and said, “screw it, I dragged it miles here, I’m gonna keep competing for the rest of the day.” :D
