Lifelong (63 yrs.) metro Detroiter here who worked downtown for 16 years and did all my partying & bar hopping in Detroit. My Husband did the same but he's 72 and we've seen the city at it's worst and we are both ENDLESSLY ASTONISHED and overjoyed at the city's truly breathtaking comeback. It is truly breathtaking. There's a Detroit Free Press article recently that tells the story of the mindboggling restoration of the Central Train Station by Ford and it took the 2 YEARS just to empty out the water from the basements. And the Contractor found a surprise basement under the 1st which wasn't on ANY of the buildings original blueprints! The HUNDREDS of millions of dollars, millions of hours of labor and back breaking work done to save and restore this masterpiece by literal armies of every kind of trade you can imagine (and some you can't) is unfathomable. It's put the city on the international stage of admiration and it's only destined for more and more and more success! CONGRATS TO BILL FORD and the Ford Motor Company for pulling off countless miracles‼‼

Two completely different situations. Penn Station never sat abandoned for decades. It was only torn down to build Madison Square Garden.

Huh? Biden had nothing to do with it. Thank God. If he did, it would have been still in shambles. Bill Ford took it upon himself to make it happen. Detroit is full of doers & don't wait for politicians to make things happen.

Sherwood Forest, Green Acres, Bagley, Palmer Woods, Boston Edison, Rosedale Park, Indian Village, University District, Canfield, Brush Park, Woodbridge, Lafayette Park, North Rosedale, LaSalle Gardens... could go on. Cry harder hater and do a lil a research. Detroit is doing fine!

You must be from the burbs 😂😂😂 dozens of buildings have been renovated, 20,000 abandoned structures torn down, a noticeable drop in crime, billions of dollars in new development, not just downtown but in the neighborhoods as well. Detroit is FAR better off than it was a just a decade ago. But I forget how some of you people neglect to do ACTUAL research

@@Bedroomeyze Be real. Yes, there are some thriving neighborhoods, but the vast majority of the city is still in ruins. It's great that Detroit is seeing progress, but it is dishonest to act like over half the city is not abandoned.
