Other shoe-making UA-camrs say that the important part when making your own is skill, but it's hard to follow because it's made like an asmr video, but it's provided as a pdf and I'm satisfied with the video as well. Perhaps you will become my Internet teacher.
Hi. I'm just an old shoemaker, started in 1977. In my '' time'' this craft was totally despised and the schools closed, because of lack of youth motivated for this apprenticeship. Today, we see many Utubers showing their adventure, but often very bad example. Old techniques were lost. Too bad. But don' t be discouraged and carry on
Hola soy de Armenia, una ciudad del país Colombia. Gracias y felicitaciones por esa explicación tan precisa y sencilla. De verdad gracias y felicitaciones...👍
Do you have to have the tongue bit in two piece or can you cut it out in one length, same with the left and right panel can that be one piece, thank for your assitance!
Hi, you can use the same pair of shoe last to make an unlimited number of shoes in the same size. For other size of shoes you need another pair of shoe last. Thanks!
*@anolpatil8777 It's still handmade even when using a sewing machine. It's very common to use one. Lots of boot companies use sewing machines. It's completely ok, and the end result is awesome!*
Hi, is there anyway to waterproof the seam and stitch line on leather? also are there any leather that are waterproof from the tanning process itself? not just from waxing beeswax mix with turpentine and pine oil? I have look up online quite a lot and only found La Bretagna, they claim to be Hydro Repel tanning but its actually veg tan. I've been learning to make boots and shoes that are weatherproof, so your videos are very educational, informative as you explain the process and very soothing.
so i bought a pattern and that little curve on the back of the heel is interesting. so is that cut straight or is it cut at a curve the way the patter shows. it looks straight in the video but your pattern has a curve. ............... Also instead of that reinforment material icould just use vegtan no?
It's a very good video and the craftmanship is excellent, but i had to watch this video over a few days because the background music is very difficult to listen to at one go.
good afternoon with all due respect I bought some digital patterns could you help me with a video some men's chelsea boots in fact the patterns are from your store
Nice job!! But , what about the lasting? Talk about a cliffhanger. Where's the "leather boot shoes"? You're going to put those on some rubber sneaker soles? I would love a pair of those. I guess I'll need to make them myself. I can do anything , so no problem ... 🤯 Have a nice day shoemaker.
This was probably the highest craftsmanship skill in shoe making I’ve ever seen in my life.
Thank you for this!

Do you have a video on how you attach the sole.. Id love to see options for different soles - rubbers or techniques for applying the upper.

Any recomendation for a sewing machine on a budget?
I’d have to saddle stitch everything since I don’t have a sewing machine that can handle leather……
But I might give this a shot!
it can be done by hand, but it takes more time and you will get a slightly different look. Thank you! 🖤

Fantastic video! 🙏
Just a question...
I don't see the insertion of reinforcements (such as the toe cap). it's normal?
Thank you! Toe puff and counter stiffener these will be assembled in the next process, that of lasting the upper.
Uma verdadeira aula! Obrigada.
I am curious what post-bed sewing machine are you using?
It's Minerva, machine with vertical arm

Do you have a heel height for that boot ?
This upper can be lasted on a shoe last with a heel height between 1.5 - 3.5 cm. The shoe last in the video has heel height between 2 - 3 cm

What was the oz of the leather?
about 0.05 oz / 1.5 mm
Кажется, что всё легко и просто. Но как же это трудно и невероятно сложно на самом деле. 😊
Thank you!
