This German decision about blocking swapping stations is just does not have any common sense. How on the Earth are they going to build a power network which should cope with a growing demand of chargers in cities? What they going to do to balance the grid?
It seems they are not interested in electrifying their country faster and dropping energy prices.

I am sure if you bring a quality Chinese EVs to EU for a reasonable price the customers will be happy. Just look what is going on in Australia.
They are afraid that their Merc and BMWs are at stake
that means they are agreed that their products can't compete with Chinese products and afraid to compete with them and that means their technology is already stop growing like US. Growing slowly is not terrible, not willing to grow is a tragedy.

I believe the UK hasn’t added the new tariffs to Chinese EVs. I read a story in the media here saying it doesn’t work, it harms your exports and drives up prices. Any update on Nio venturing into any right hand drive markets yet like Australia, Japan or UK? UK could really do with some storage and infrastructure investment as we have a lot of wind turbines on and off shore and not enough storage and we’re very reliant of French nuclear power still
They use the highways more often anyway and it makes sense to have the swap stations there instead of in cities.
I always thought they are going to have a problem building out the infrastructure in Europe. It was built out pretty quickly in China but things in China happen 20 times faster than Europe. I think this will continue to be a big problem, it's strange as well because the charging infrastructure isn't that great and they already struggle with chargers being throttled or not working due to the grid not being able to support them. This is a case of needing someone good at explaining the benefits of battery swapping to the people who make the decisions but this will be hard in a place where anti China sentiment is high and is only getting worse.
Most people in Europe will have an at home charging station. China needs swap station. Most ppl live in apts.
Time to do some grid balancing in the city center.

Remember that in Europe Nios brand value is on par or lower than MG, Xpeng and BYD. Most people don’t know what swap stations is. If you want to sell cars Nio need faster DC charging,. Xpeng G9 did get a lot of media attention for their charging speed that are close to twice as fast as any Nio.. we are eagerly waiting for the verified numbers for EL8 that hopefully will provide a competitive charging speed above 200kw.
Neat market update, the NIO products are becoming accepted, and this is a good thing for their stocks
-as the interest of customers would imrpove their sales, leading to more investors input, and stock rally
-for now i can see the stock is trading at an are of discount, which could be a good point of entry for long term targets
Stock price movements actually begin to reflect new developments before it is generally recognized that they have taken place.
The battery swap sounds good 10 years ago and but the CEO still talk about it as the next new tech.
Unless they can turn it into a cash cow otherwise I will only last until the next thing better come out.
Nio selling like hotcakes….i mean the shares
No doubt, the block of swapping stations in the cities, is dumb.
But when talking about evs, charging, and battery swap in Denmark. Many don't understand the benefits of battery swap, because the majority is doing homecharging. The Danish and European cities are less dense and stacked than cities in China, so for the majority that buys an EV in Denmark the biggest need for battery swap is on the highways.
Ofc there are people buying an EV in the cities that would like battery swapping in the cities, but my assumption is that swap stations in the cities are more crucial in China.
Any Europeans from other countries that recognized this - even though the block is dumb?

I’m sorry to say it but I’ve opened a new position with a few other solid stocks to trade my way out of this mess, it’s a 5 year plan if nio turns around in the mean time then it’s win win if not then my new trade should cover my loses and I’ll be cuttin nio loose. Nio is dragging my portfolio down it’s embarrassing, every single stock I have is in the green, only for them I’d be in serious trouble. Getting tired of Nio and listening to the same fluff, there is zero apatite for this stock 10 days in a row in the red!!! Government have it in for Chinese EV’s doesn’t matter what tech they have, Euro tariffs are going to hurt Nio and selling cars in China is great but to be as successful as all the major car companies with a healthy share price you need to be selling cars globally.

NIO management may be very smart in technology but they made huge mistakes in calculating geopolitical risks and trusting Western countries. Why would NIO spend so much money hiring people in Western countries and opening NIO houses in the premium real estate locations? All that investment is wasted with one tariff. They should have focused on friendly BRICS+ countries first and taken these risks after becoming profitable.

Do you think the government (SEC) in the US is allowing naked shorting of Nio stock? It seems it could be another mode of attack on Chinese EV makers in addition to their 100% tariffs.
I have no doubt this is the case. Deep State planned the pump of Chinese stocks in 2021 and the 3 year long dump. They trapped us investors who believed all the hype they were spreading intentionally about Chinese stocks. I even believe the whole concept of Chinese ADRs was created with the plan that some day they could crash all ADRs to $0 if China does not behave, which is exactly what is happening.
UA-cam, Bir Brother, deleted my longer reply but definitely diiiip state planned this whole pump-dump of Chinese stock from 2021 to today.

Try open a separate position with some of the big reliable stocks if you can and spend the next few years trading your way out, make sure you include NVIDIA in that basket they will give you a nice boost over the next 12 months. My advise don’t buy any more nio, put your money to work somewhere else until ya get back what ya lost in nio then sell the lot and start again. Lesson learned.

Hey impatient ones...tesla took 9 years to even reach 65 dollars a share. NIO reach 65 dollars in 3 years since being on the market. Teslas ATH was 406 in 2021 and its now at 178 in june of 2024. Stop panicking NIO is not a crypto meme token. Things take time, u would be foolish not to buy, those who got at the opening price have lost parience because thats how this generation is. Thats why price is dropping, im glad they are selling. It gives me a great entry point because when this stock gets into the 100s and 1000s of dollars in the future ill be rich and many of you will be kicking yourselves for selling as this company is spending money to build its brand! NIO is gonna change my life and my childrens lives. Generational wealth is what I'm after, not a quick financial come up by a short armed selling mentality. 💎 hands over here, may Yah The Most High bless this company and it's patient holders. Not building stations in the city is pure logic. You don’t know how our city’s differ from China. Most owners can charge at home on the driveway with electricity from solar panels. Most stations in the Netherlands are close to the city, so reached easy from city and highway. So baas is mostly a choose for lifetime battery updates, not for faster charging.

Supercharger can charge 20-50 per 1 time.... If they get more Cars swap waiting will be longer. Insted of waiting 2 hours like before. 80% in 20mins... Abd batery charging speed and technology getting better and faster. Only valiu I see in swap is the electricity reselling.. Buy cheep sell expensive
