i'm not much in the hardware and performance things, but what is the importance of have high fps in a game? i not know much, but in video and others stuff 24 frames per second is enought for cheat the eyes a produce the movment effect, 48 fps for some 3d videos, and bigger amount of fps for a detailed slow motion video. Excuse my ignorance, just whant to know why the videogames need more fps than other stuff.

The FPS doesn't just mean how fast the frames are updating, but also how fast the game/program is updating, ergo at higher frame-rates the game will respond at a higher rate, and therefore be more precise. Basically, high FPS means precise movement, aiming, and better response time. At least that's my understanding of it. Hope this helps.
