@@PaulWattsHair BTW, Thanks for the posts! I gave myself a shag and I got so many compliments! Always wanted to cut hair. I have done it in and off for years, but this was the best. Thank you!
This haircut is very popular in Asian culture and obviously not for everyone but it’s different and cool. As an up and coming hairstylist I appreciate this tutorial, Paul!
I am going to be honest with my opinion. I have had many cuts in my days but this cut is not flattering to me. I could see this cut for photo shoots for fashion but that’s it. To each their own though.
Me neither. Plus, this hair style is hard to maintain. I had a long pixie and eventually kinda had an asymmetrical bob with twin rat tails that went off the sides of the base of my neck, so it was similar to this. The only way I could wear my hair was to braid those damn things, 'cause they would just tangle and look ratty. Not to mention, getting my hair trimmed was a bit confusing for new hairstylists. I'm kinda glad that Covid forced me to grow out my hair out of that hair cut lol.
My daughter who is 18 now really wanted a style from a My Little Pony show called Equestrian Girls when she was in kindergarten. I told her she was a trailblazer as this is so similar to the cut I gave her 😂
I don’t know if I’m the only one having this problem but the microphone for your instructions as well as the music keep sounding as if they’re cutting out so it’s actually very hard for me to hear and understand what’s going on other than watching it!
I like it till you started aggressively cutting the graduated bob into the front!? Then I hated it like crazy!!! It looked like a hot jagged mess! And too hard to grow out!? And I guess that's my MAIN complaint with the "jellyfish" craze? Sooo... 🤷🏼♀️🤘🏻
❤❤❤ I've had a hard time visualizing where to set that bottom layer. Thanks for the detailed tutorial! Very edgy cut, love it!!!!
You are so welcome!
I know you are a great stylist but that haircut looks like something I'd give myself one dark, drunk, rainy night.
You can do that drunk and in the dark! Respect
I love it. Now how to do it on myself is the challenge 🙈
I didn’t realize you needed to know anatomy and geometry to cut hair- respect!
Yup!!

And chemistry for coloring ect
I think these are closer to a modern Mrs Brady than a mullet! Such a fun haircut.
Thank you so much

IM IN LOVE WITH YOUR TUTORIAL, IT WAS SO NEAT and clear!
And its look so good on my hairs too
Tnank you Thank you SO MUCH!
My daughter wants this haircut so bad..❤❤
Great style
@@PaulWattsHair Absolutely..and you slayed this style..amazing 👏
It's trending right now. I really like how if you get tired of it, as it grows out you can trim the bottom & get a basic bob. So 2 styles in one❤

I agree!! Totally wouldnt wear this unless I lived in the ocean
Me neither.

In high school in the 80’s, we had a word for this. We called it “Fugly”.
Did you wear it?
@@PaulWattsHair Heck no. We had perms with lots of layers back then.

Love it. Will it work for coarse thick hair
I find this haircut fantastic if it's done with the perfect technic and on the right person. It's obviously not for everyone.
Absolutely
Mary Quant 1960’s ? Now THAT was fun😁
