It would have been better if you left the natural shape of the wood. The plastic frame just doesn't seem to complement the wood and a clock doesn't have to be round on the outside edge

You did a good job, but it could've been better, if you had left out the old plastic frame. The wood alone would've looked very attractive. As I said, good job!

+Mr. Amazing Works - As long as you're open to suggestions . . . I like the idea of the wood alone without the old plastic frame or the silver colored circle surrounding it. I might also suggest that you super glue the painted black letters on instead of using those tiny nails. If you don't like that look, you can always put those tiny nails in afterwards. But I really do like the look of the wood alone without the old frames.

Cover keeps spiders n co. away.. cobwebs bind too. My problem without the plastic cover is, a wooden wall clock that attractive, it’s now open for anyone’s game of 🎯..

I'd like to see that frame painted a glossy black. I think a rich glossy black, coordinating with the black numbers, would really pop against the stained wood. Or, leave the frame out altogether.

    Nice job.
Reminds me of a clock my family had when I was a kid that was made out of a chunk of a cypress knee. It was a thick enough slab that it didn't need anything added to house the movement, so it was able to be its original irregular shape.

Couldn't figure out what purpose it served to use the old clock's framework on the wood. The wooden clock would have looked much better without all that plastic around it. It looks like the only changes made were the backdrop and the numbers, even though you did a good job with the whole process.

Here is a tip for those who will take it if you take a torch and lightly go over it the wood ring before you decide to put the enamel over it it will give it a darker color for one but will bring out the wood Rings inside of the wood and give it an more expensive country look which people are willing to pay top dollar for at least that is my experience with my wood carvings and makings and projects when I was doing them just a thought and yes he did a wonderful job on the clock however personally I would not have put plastic numbers I would have used an engraver or a wood burner that way to increase the value of the clock

Never grind wood unless you have a full face mask with air supply as the most damaging element is the invisible fine dust (sometimes called “coarse inhalable particles” ranging from 2-10 microns). Basically, these tiny bits of sawdust float around the air and linger even after the tools have stopped running. These invisible particles get inhaled and cause tiny wounds and scarring to our lungs: each time this happens, it causes a very small amount of irreversible damage. The immediate effect is unnoticeable, but over long periods of time, this can result in significantly decreased lung capacity, and a number of other health issues.
