People tend to dunk on tools like these as being useless and wasteful, but a lot of these seem pretty useful for people with disabilities or limited mobility. Always gotta appreciate accessible design, thank you for showcasing these tools! 💖

Glad I watched this video as a person with only 1 working arm i have to find gadgets to use in the kitchen to make it possible for me to be able to care for myself without the help of others and I've found a few things on here that are going to make my life easier now . I appreciate that greatly I'd like to confirm the electric can opener is a life saver💯% . It really is as easy to use as is looks in the video . You can not open a can without two working hands otherwise I promise . It truly is a nessisity in my life . Going to buy the potatoe peeler ASAP and a few other items I seen here. Has anyone noticed that Dave is totally obsessed with eggs?? That being said, I want one of those egg cracker gadgets! My kids love helping cook, but we all hate it when they try to crack an egg and it gets all over the place.

It’s cheaper to cook your own food. Just know how and where to shop. They have recipes on you tube all day everyday. It’s so fun. My library sells cookbooks for 1$.
I'm a sucker for any video with "gadget" in the title & enjoyed this. That said, I've seen all of these gadgets except for that tomato saw thing & there's probably a good reason for that 😳
Some of these gadgets have been around for years. I have or had some and in fact, the hand held tomatoe slicer, I've had a couple of. I've found after using a while the blades bend and get out of shape making it useless to decently cut tomatoe slices.
We're living in modern times where everything upgraded so why not get yourself one of those cooking tools. It's very simple and effective to use. ❤❤😊 Gotta buy some

The thing you used for the hardboiled eggs is the only I'd get. I like to make fried bologne and egg sandwiches but always cook them hardboiled I like their texture more then why you fry an egg.

No garlic crusher has exceeded the liver crusher, that mimic the traditional lemon squeezer, so convenien to crush garlic directly to the pan while no other container or cutting board needs to clean.
OMG at 11:26 …. When he takes the garlic slicer apart and tells us “anything trapped inside will be cut into bits” … without a doubt that would be MY finger…
Best gadget I ever for slicing and dicing...CALLED A "KNIFE", and one is used in demonstration! Simple to use, clean and every household has 1 at least🤣. And doesn't take up extra space! Majority of people have fingers, using these digits braces the product for slicing! It's ingenious!
ironically in 1984.. i used to use the egg slicer b4 hotdog one was made lol & the egg cutter.. i bent holder for more centered cuts.. but used the wire side egg cutter for (yes had both then) hotdogs
Ive got a collection of antique kitchen gadget and a lot of them I didn't really understand what they where but after watching this video I think ill be taking them off my wall and start using them because boy was I wrong about what I thought they where for.

I started "cooking" with my mom, mostly; and my grandma sometimes. I would always choose to hang out with my Pap, over anyone. He loved me......I'm going to make myself cry! Lol. Anyway, when we peeled eggs, that was usually my job. After the eggs boiled for a bit, we put the pot into the sink, ran cold water for a couple minutes, I would take one out, crack it on the counter, roll it, hold it under running water while you peel the rest of the shell off. It worked every time. I never understood how it was hard for some people.
I'm not a gadget person - I'm an old-fashioned gal who likes to take her time in the kitchen (I love my kitchen and I love cooking) which is good because none of these gadgets have actually reached the Greek island where I live !!! (Give it another 20 years or so ----). BUT I seriously want one of those spiral mashers. Will have to go to trusty old Amazon to see if I can get one. Great video though - thanks Dave x
Alternate title: 30 hard to clean gadgets for people with no knife skills. Edit: OK, that lever can opener is pretty cool. I have difficulty turning the manual ones, and I refuse to use an electric one because of how difficult to clean they are.
Ok so I mean this in absolutely the most respectful way possible. Things like these gadgets may be kinda tricky to clean, but they're really useful for people with physical disabilities, little kids, and elderly people. For example, I have an issue where my hands tend to shake really bad, like all of the time, so using a sharp knife on something small while my hands are shaking isn't exactly safe. I hope that makes sense!
I do most of these with a knife, spoon or fork….. it’s all about practice. I bin cookin’ for 45 yrs 😂. Mind you, he just showed me how to properly use my tupperware can opener! I do like that garlic roller cutter. It’s cute. But i just cut it. I think a lot of these are great for those cooks with mobility issues with hands, wrists etc though.

These are great for getting your kids involved with preparing foods for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
