I can relate to that part where Sean said his he felt he was fulling out of love with his photography and that it was just a job. When I was at school I studied photography in the upper sixth and got a CSE grade 1 (not worth the paper it's was printed on now) and also attended an after school photography club. So when I left school my first job was in a photographic lab up the West End (London), it wasn't a chain but a small independent lab and after six months as a foot messenger, I got a position as a machine printer: Printing 10x8, 7x5 and general D&P (develop and print) work as well as processing film and copy work. Initially it was great, I had access to all the film I could eat but after a few years I realised I had lost the passion for photography, the last thing I wanted to do when I got home from work, was pick up a camera. It killed it for me and it was years before I got back into it again. I've only just come across Sean's channel in the last month or so while looking to buy a new camera (I went Fuji) I have to say, not only do I find his channel informative, straight forward with a no nonsense and honest approach , but his work has rekindled something I thought I'd lost and inspired me, although to be fair he's not the only one: Thomas Heaton, Kevin Mullins, Mattias Burling are all worth checking out if you haven't already. Thank you gentleman, thank you all. (Whoa! That ended up being longer than expected)
As a theology student, I was looking for a way to decompress and have time to reflect. I watched Sean's Snowdonia video and it changed my approach to photography and transformed it from a hobby to an outlet for my thoughts and stories. Thank you, Sean! 🙌
Sean is all about quality not quantity of content. And that’s the reason of his success. If anyone does not know about his Chanel you should check it out.
Sean is one of my most favorite Human Beings period. I have followed him for years and wait studiously wait for for his videos to drop.
The two UA-camrs with the best lighting in one video? I'm down
Chris Botha EXACTLY!
