You speak the truth about the Macs my friend. My old pro mac 700 wasn't running well so it's been on a shelf for a few wood cutting seasons now. After discovering your channel last month and watching some of your videos, I was motivated to get it out and tune it up last week. I miss running that old saw to buck logs into firewood. There's something about the feeling a person gets after working on something that is broken, and then being in the woods as the sun comes up, when you fire up the old Mac it smokes quite a bit until it's warm for about 30 seconds and you can feel the sun hitting your back with the cool fresh mountain air, the power of the Pro Mac 700 in your hands running like it was new as you rev it up and look around and the smoke looks like mist following a gentle breeze away from you and upward, Man that's a great feeling.
I love that can set the Mac down and clear the slash away while limbing and it just idles like a saw should.
The original McCulloch 20" bar that's on it has been hammered really hard over the years, so I've been looking at new bars. I was thinking about going to a 28" bar this season for that saw now that it's running good again. The timing of this video is absolutely perfect.
That’s what it’s all about. I got 3 pro Mac 700 saws from my wife’s grandpa and kept one. Been kicking myself for selling the other 2 for $100 each ever since..
I appreciate all the energy you put into the videos. I’m sure I don’t know the half of it. I’ve been watching a long time, like since 17000 subs. Thanks so much for all the effort!
Thank you for bringing these questions to answer about chainsaws! Testing and info .Honest and straight up! I for one appreciated it!
A man that loves what he's doing. Very refreshing!
God Bless You Buckin and Family!👍❤️

Off work because I might have Covid, spending my time watching chainsaw videos. I'm a second year apprentice carpenter who is helping a friend build a log house on 40 acres of raw land, so alot of chainsaw work will be involved preparing the site this summer for building next. Learning alot watching you videos and others, yours are the most fun to watch. Thanks for doing what you do. Love. Be kind.

Wow... Power to the rainbow.
Used to go to rainbow gatherings in the forest here in Pennsylvania, and people would stay for weeks to clean it up, so you could barely tell that thousands of people just camped out for weeks. Sweat lodges, popcorn kitchen, main circle drumming. Alcohol and drugs are frowned upon.
Rainbow gathering healing festival, many years, be kind.
The legend and history of indigenous people shall be preserved and respected by those who are caring.

Hi Buckin. Good information again. I really like this kind of video. How about skip vs. full house on the same bar and same saw in different diameters of wood ? I guess that would show the advantages/disadvantages of each type of chain per application.
Love my 10-10A has good power with 20" bar. Oiler been a bit lazy recently. Thanks Billy
Running a 28" Bar with full house carlton on my old red homelite Super Xl made a world of difference for me. Luv it Buckin. All the best to EVERYONE across the GLOBE. Ak Brad
I really enjoyed this!! Being a fabricator and a metal man I'd like to build a muffler or two just for the fun of it
I’m not sure if it was how you were standing or what but you running that 20” bar was classic😂 thank you for the test runs buckin! Very helpful! Love to you and the family❤️
he he
I'm a smaller guy. So I prefer a 036 or a 44 with a small 20"-22" bar opposed to a 28"-32" bar, mainly because of the weight to power ratio. I like a big power saw for bucking/felling, and a 026 for limbing. ((Stihl models only used for power reference))(I only know about stihl saw sizes)
Hey Buck'n
Just aquired a pro Mac 10_10 at an auction last week has a 24" bar
Started right up, sweet
Hi everyone, always good to see you guy. Go Buckin Army!
Buckin brilliant

Great Channel , Great Messages, Would be fantastic to see your top 10 or 20 tree felling on one videos, just of final cut and tree falling . Thanks Buckin
Louie here from Gretna, Louisiana. One quick question Billy, why do you pull the starter rope when turning off the saw? Don't change one thing buckin Billy, you're one of a kind- the kind we need more of! Stay cool man, love your videos.
The Mt. Rushmore axe .. thats Wicked
I'm repping big wood Oak Maple and such with a stihl 660 w/skip tooth , 36in bar, Oregon blade magic- cuts through everything like nothing anyting else.
Thanks buckin’. 👍
The UK loves BUcKin'. Not so many trees where I live on the coast in the south of England, but I love your videos on so many levels. Thanks mate.
thx Duncan

Good day from the great PNW. Been a damp summer so far. Nice bump side Ford btw. That straight stinger has gotta be screamer. WHAT??!! 2 stroke = power is in the pipe. My step son's got himself a nice little 10-10 Auto he got from his grandpa. Still has the bar cover with the retainer spring/clip.
Hey Buckin, Miles from Cincinnati, Ohio here. Love your videos and messages. I run Stihl saws but went into my local dealer the other day and picked up an abandoned McCulloch 2.3 Eager Beaver. Not sure how good it is but I know you love the Macs so figured I'd give it a try.
LET ME NO HOW IT GOES
Sorry you bought a new mac the old ones were beast.now trade it for a old one lol.all new saws Stihl Husky Echo ect are factory de nutted.all need a muffler mod a carb adjusted and a port just to get them to wake up.

GOOD STUFF KIETH
Buckin' Billy Ray Smith hey Buckin I got a question for you. I want to buy an old Mcculloch 1010 but I don’t know what bad length I should run. My filing is pretty good now that I have watched your filing videos(thank you it helped a ton) so I don’t know if that would affect it or not. Well I hope you have a great Buckin day! Keep chopping!
Good messages, friend
thanks 4 video. be kind.
Hey buckin, did you put the 28" on the 610 yet? I have a 610 just wondering how it went the longer bar on her, keep up the good work 👍💪 I'm in the UK buckin army 🇬🇧
Beautiful! !!! Teacher 😆 Nice.😆
GOOD SIR
dad left me a little mcculloch and a '79 homlite super xl which im in love with
Very interesting
Love these test videos! Bet you do too.
love your stuff dude Northern Ireland calling lol
It’s amazing how good they built them back then most still running on original rings and pistons dang sure won’t find a new one that will make it as long as Macs will
Hope your well and staying safe and which do you prefer chain wise ?
Hey Buckin great video! How long are your firewood pieces? Have a wonderful day! Keep on cutting Buckin!
Thank you!!
Buckin I love this exhaust wow! Where can I purchase one for my exact same 10-10?
I still my grandpa's Mccoluch. He used it to heat his house, my dad used it to heat the house growing up, now I use it.
Hey Buck'n, this is a non- related question in regards to your latest video. But when pulling on a tree (for ex. with a truck), can you pull so hard that you cause it to barber chair when felling it? Thanks. I enjoy your videos and your attitude is refreshing and an inspiration. Stay safe. And the best of me and mine to you and yours.
Yes
Hi from Belgium friends!
Hi Jasper C !
That's one nice axe😉👍
This was FUN!
The Buckin army is growing.
Peace and love to all
Kindness rocks
YES SIR
Man cutting hardwood is so different . Been bucking a lot of birch lately sure takes it’s toll on the chain , the gullet is got.
A little known thing about those particular chamber pipes from the pocket bikes. A lot of them are just all wrong in their design. It's correctable but if you don't know to look you'd never know why they don't work. The header pipes are just shoved into the chamber and welded with a ton of the header protruding into the chamber. This totally negates how an expansion chamber works. So to correct the problem and have the chamber do its thing the header and stinger must not stick into the chamber at all so you gently grind the welds and pull the header pipe out then trim the header, put it back in so it does not extend into the chamber and re weld. The header pipe length has a lot to do where the pipe comes on. Get that wrong and the pipe may have it's effective powerband too high or too low. I grafted one of those onto a Honda NC50 bike, I got the header too long and the pipe hit at much too high an rpm for the the bike to have any torque until I ran out of road. A properly designed chamber you can actually put your mouth to it and sing into it and when you hit the right frequency range you can feel the wind get sucked out of you. Hopefully this info will help anyone wanting to build a pipe of their own
I like your videos but you must have taken half the cuter off each tooth when you were sharpening it. Was the file old or do you usually make that many passes
Everything changes with everything that changes!
Ahwooooo get one 👍
running a stock 261 didnt realize that it was underpowered for a 20 bar. the 20 is perfect for my back would like a 24 but again would need a bigger saw. i was wondering if a skip would help at all. i cut mostly pine and oak. Going to try one out and see how it goes. i love the 261 with a 16 but i feel it in my back.
You have to adjust the carb to the different exhausts though
Hey nice chainsaw you have the best I wish I had one .? Do you sell them
Buckin in think you need a 2 stroke dirt bike in your life. You would love it.
500 Norton single pot might cart him around !
